AEW Extends Miro' s Contract

AEW Extends Miro’ s Contract – Fightful Select reports that AEW has re-signed Miro to a four-year extension, which will keep him with the company until at least the start of 2026.

The deal was agreed upon in late 2021, but didn’t get signed for a little while after that. His original deal was slated to expire in the spring of this year after he joined the promotion in September 2020. It should be noted that Miro did confirm he signed a contract extension with AEW during an appearance on the Kurt Angle Show, but didn’t get into specifics of the deal and the news went under the radar at the time.

Miro won the TNT Title last year and he lost it to Sammy Guevara in September. He later worked the AEW Title Eliminator tournament that he wasn’t originally scheduled for and hasn’t wrestled since losing to Bryan Danielson in a tournament match at Full Gear in November. He had been sidelined with a hamstring injury, but has been medically cleared for quite a while.

Frankie Kazarian, Tony Schiavone, and The Young Bucks also recently signed extensions with the promotion. There is more talent who signed in 2019 that will either depart or get extended when that time comes.
