WWE SmackDown Results (2/4) Oklahoma City, OK – We begin with highlights from Saturday’s WWE Royal Rumble, where Bobby Lashley defeated Brock Lesnar to become the new WWE Champion. Then, they focuses on Lesnar winning the 30-Man Royal Rumble Match.
We are live from the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City, OK, as the whole Bloodiline make their way to the ring with Paul Heyman holding the Universal Title Belt of his Tribal Chief. More Royal Rumble highlights are shown, this time of Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins.
After 8 long minutes they are in the ring and Paul Heyman is about to speak.
Paul introduces himself and he says that he is special counsel to Roman Reigns. Paul says they came here tonight to acknowledge what really happened. Paul says there was no plot, scenario, or conspiracy. This was not done to make Brock Lesnar look foolish even though he looks like a fool now. The trajectory of this industry unfolded before your eyes. On December 17th in Chicago, I acknowledged that I made my biggest mistake. What I acknowledged made me look foolish. I told the most dominant champion that he needed to be protected from Brock Lesnar. I got fired and Superman punched and I deserved it.
Paul says that he knew his career was over, but then I saw the moment and seized the opportunity. When COVID infected the wrong person, I got Brock Lesnar into the Fatal Five Way and he pulled off what only Brock or Roman could do. He won the title.
Then Brock made the challenge for title versus title. Brock looks like a schmuck and is a schmuck while he is on Raw.
Paul says he had no way out. He blew it with the Tribal Chief and he was with the Saskatchewan farmer who wanted to send people to Suplex City. Brock took Bobby Lashley to Suplex City. Roman showed that a GOAT could slay the Beast. Paul says you will never hear me talk about the reigning and defending. Roman came to the Rumble and he smashed Brock Lesnar. Paul says he realized he did not have to protect Roman Reigns from Brock Lesnar. He had to protect Brock Lesnar from Roman Reigns.
Roman came to me and he offered him the hand of forgiveness, the hand of love, the hand of family. Roman offered the hand of acknowledgment. Paul says he handed Roman the WWE Championship and he smashed Brock Lesnar. Bobby Lashley pinned Brock and is the new WWE Champion.
Now you have to acknowledge there will be no title versus title, champion versus champion, winner takes all match at Wrestlemania. Brock Lesnar will do what Roman Reigns wants him to do. Brock will acknowledge THE Champion Roman Reigns.
Paul tells Brock this is how it is done and Paul says that he acknowledges Roman Reigns as his Tribal Chief.
As Heyman asks Oklahoma to acknowledge Roma Reigns, Golderb music hits and he makes his way to the ring as Reigns looks shocked!
Reigns and his crew all look shocked as Goldberg enters the ring. Fans chant “Goldberg!” now. He takes the mic and says he acknowledges Reigns… as his next victim. Fans pop. Goldberg proposes a match between the two, for the title, at WWE Elimination Chamber. He says – you’re… next. Goldberg drops the mic and faces off with Reigns as the music starts back up. Fans chant “Goldberg!” now as Goldberg watches The Bloodline exit the ring.
— Sheamus and Ridge Holland make their way to the ring. Holland will face Ricochet after our first commercial break.
Ridge Holland vs. Ricochet
Ricochet with a punch but Holland with a knee. Holland sends Ricochet into the turnbuckles but Ricochet with a kick. Holland with a slam. Holland stomps on the hand. Holland with a slam and hard Irish whip. Holland gets Ricochet up for a slam but Ricochet gets to his feet and he sends Holland to teh floor. Ricochet misses a baseball slide and then Holland sends Ricochet face first into the apron. Holland with a knee to the head and then back into the ring.
Sheamus and Cesaro have some words and Ricochet with Recoil for the three count.
Winner: Ricochet
Back to commercial.
Ridge Holland & Sheamus vs. Ricochet & Cesaro
The match is joined in progress and Sheamus with forearms to Cesaro on the apron and a clothesline to send Cesaro back into the ring. Holland tags in. Sheamus with a uranage back breaker and Holland with an elbow drop off the turnbuckles. Holland with a knee drop to the head. Sheamus tags in and Ricochet tags in and he hits a springboard clothesline. Ricochet wtih a springboard cross body and a quebrada for a near fall. Ricochet gets Sheamus up for a moment but Sheamus with an elbow. Ricochet with a kick and Cesaro tags in. Ricochet misses a pescado and Holland with a shoulder tackle. Cesaro with a drop kick through the ropes to Holland.
Sheamus with a European uppercut and then Cesaro hits a drop kick to Sheamus on the turnbuckles. Holland with Northern Grit for the three count.
Winners: Sheamus and Ridge Holland

JImmy Uso vs. Erik
Erik with an exploder and he follows with a uranage for a near fall. Erik with a judo throw and knee to the head. Erik goes to the turnbuckles and Jey gets into the ring to try to pull Jimmy out of trouble. Ivar misses a splash on the floor. Jimmy with a super kick and he goes up top and hits a frog splash for the three count.
Winner: Jimmy Uso
— We take a look at Aliyah’s record setting victory over Natalya a few weeks ago. We see their next match when Natalya got disqualified.
— Aliyah makes her way to the ring as we go to commercial.
Aliyah vs. Natalya
Back from the break and Natalya is posing on the apron with a Guinness Book of World Records. She talks some trash to Aliyah over her Aliyah 3:17 t-shirt. They go at it and Aliyah tries for an early pin. Natalya gets upset and unloads in the corner, then takes Aliyah to the opposite corner for knee strikes to the gut. Natalya with more trash talking. Aliyah rolls her up again.
More back and forth now. Aliyah fights from the apron and counters a hurricanrana, taking Natalya down. Aliyah with a Thesz Press and right hands. Natalya counters a move but Aliyah counters with a big Bulldog. Natalya comes back and hits the big discus clothesline, then talks some trash.
Natalya sends Aliyah out to the floor and follows, sending Aliyah into the barrier. They tangle on the floor as the referee counts. Aliyah sends Natalya into the barrier and she goes down. Aliyah scrambles back into the ring right before the 10 count to get the win.
Winner by Count Out: Aliyah
After the match, Aliyah celebrates as her music hits. Natalya seethes at ringside and has some words with people sitting at ringside.
— We see Shotzi backstage on her phone. Drew Gulak walks up and says something to her but she’s not interested as she turns her back. We see Drew McIntyre walking through the backstage area with his sword, and he’s all smiles. Back to commercial.
In the Arena:
We are back and Drew McIntyre makes his way to the ring.
Drew says it feels good to be back. Everyone has been asking him how he got back so quick. You saw the headlines about being out for a long time and that he would need surgery. Drew says after Day 1, a doctor told him he wouldn’t make the Royal Rumble or Wrestlemania. Drew told the doctor he could kiss his ass. Drew says he went to rehab three times a day and he is back.
The Royal Rumble didn’t go as planned. Brock got one over me. I will get to that later. Now, I want to focus on the idiots who tried to end his career.
Baron Corbin comes out and he asks Drew if it was worth it. By some miracle, you eliminated me and Moss. After what we did to your neck, was it worth it for you to come back and risk your entire career to be thrown out like a bag of garbage by Brock Lesnar? You failed. You are not going to Wrestlemania and that thought makes me happy.
Moss tries to enter the ring from behind and Drew holds his sword up at Moss and then he tells Moss he wants to hear a joke. Moss tells a joke but Drew says he wants to hear a Drew McIntyre joke. Drew laughs at the joke and then he hits a Claymore on Moss. Drew tells Corbin he will make his life hell every week and this is just the beginning.
— We take a look at Sami Zayn at the Jackass Forever premiere.
Backstage:
Sami wants to know when will he get his match for the Intercontinental Title. Sonya says next week but Sami says he just got hit with a cattle prod. Pearce suggests in two weeks and he asks about having Johnny Knoxville there.
Natalya shows up and complains about losing to Aliyah but not losing legitimately. She wants a match next week with pinfall or submission only.
— Rick Boogs introduces Shinsuke Nakamura even if his guitar is not playing for some reason. Back to commercial.
Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Jinder Mahal
Before the match starts, Sami Zayn comes out and joins the commentary.
Mahal with a kick and forearms. Nakamura with a forearm and axe kick and a drop kick to the temple. Nakamura puts Mahal in the ropes and hits a sliding German suplex. Nakamura goes for Kinshasa but misses. Mahal with a double knee gutbuster for a near fall. Mahal with knees to Nakamura. Mahal with a boot for a near fall. Mahal kicks Nakamura and follows with a forearm. Mahal with a crossface to Nakamura followed by a kick. Mahal with a half nelson and chin bar. Nakamura with an elbow and kick to Mahal. Nakamura with a spinning heel kick. Nakamura with Kinshasa for the three count.
Winner: Shinsuke Nakamura
After the match, Sami gets on the announce table and Nakamura puts the title belt on the mat.
— We take a look at what happened between Naomi and Sonya Deville at the Royal Rumble.
Backstage:
Sonya and Adam are in the office and Naomi shows up. Naomi says she won’t touch Sonya because she is wearing the jacket. Naomi says she wants Sonya in the ring in five mintues to finish that. Sonya says she has a meeting tonight. Naomi wants a match next week. Sonya says that Naomi already has a match against Charlotte Flair for the Smackdown Championship. Naomi says she does not believe Sonya. Adam says that Naomi will face Charlotte for the Women’s Championship. Naomi says that keeps Sonya safe for now.
— We have a Goldberg video package.
— Big E, back on his role as New Day member, and Kofi Kingston make their way to the ring. They’ll face Los Lotharios after a commercial break.
Backstage:
We are back and we are told that Drew McIntyre will face Riddick Moss at Elimination Chamber. Kayla Braxton is in the back and she is with Natalya. Kayla asks for a preview of next week’s Dungeon match. Natalya says she is going to tell Aliyah right now. Natalya starts to walk into the trainer’s room and Xia Li walks out. Natalya says she will tell her next week.
The New Day vs. Los Lotharios
Garza and Carrillo throw their shirts and Big E avoids Garza. Kofi with a splash off Big E’s back and Big E with a shoulder tackle. Kofi with a leap frog back senton after Big E tags in. Carrillo tags in and Big E with a back elbow. Kofi tags in and he kicks Carrillo and gets a near fall. Kofi is put on the turnbuckles and Garza tags in and Carrillo drop kicks Big E off the apron and Garza misses a baseball slide to Kofi in the tree of woe. Kofi with a back elbow to Carrillo and Kofi comes off the ropes and is met with a super kick from Garza.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Carrillo punches Kofi and Garza tags in and Carrillo with a leap frog seated splash. Garza removes the pants and throws them at Big E. The referee deals with Big E and misses the cover. Carrillo tags in and Garza kicks Kofi in the midsection. Carrillo with a belly-to-back suplex for a near fall. Carrillo with a forearm to the back and a slam. Carrillo pulls Kofi to the corner and goes up top and hits Kofi’s boots when he tries for a moonsault. Big E and Garza tag in and Big E with two overhead belly-to-belly suplexes. Big E with a belly-to-belly suplex to Garza and then Big E with the Warrior Splash.
Big E goes for the Big Ending but Angel escapes and hits a lungblower. Carrillo is not in the corner and Big E with the UranagE. Kofi tags in and they hit a wheelbarrow bulldog off the turnbuckles but Carrillo breaks up the cover. Big E misses the spear to Carrillo on the apron and Carrillo with a moonsault. Garza with an inside cradle for a near fall. Kofi misses Trouble in Paradise. Carrillo with a drop kick out of a Doomsday Device for a near fall. Kofi with a double stomp to Carrillo but Garza with a super kick and he sets for the Wing Clipper but Kofi lands on his feet. Big E tags in and Kofi with a boot. They hit the Midnight Hour for three count.

In the Arena:
We are back and Sonya Deville has joined Charlotte in the ring.
Sonya says that she hasn’t run it by the higher ups and she had a conversation with Becky Lynch. Sonya says that Becky told her that Ronda Rousey chose her for the Main Event of Wrestlemania and expects the contract to be signed. Sonya says that Charlotte will need an opponent after beating Naomi next week.
Charlotte says she is not surprised that Ronda chose Becky because Charlotte has been on top since 2015. What has Ronda been doing? Playing video games? Farming? Having a baby? Congratulations. Charlotte says she would be worried if Ronda didn’t choose Becky. Mom versus Mom is easier. Charlotte says she is the main event of Wrestlemania. If Ronda wants to choose the other champion go ahead. Number one doesn’t talk about number two.
Charlotte says you can pick her opponent for Wrestlemania.
Charlotte says she will pick Sasha Banks. Charlotte says she wishes that Sasha was here to thank her for the opportunity. Wrestlemania will be the best and worst day for you and I will have the contract for you.
Ronda Rousey’s music plays and she makes her way to the ring.
Ronda says you all love to talk about her. Ronda says she won the Royal Rumble and she gets to pick who she main events Wrestlemania. Ronda says being a mom changed her. She flew halfway across the country through an ice storm not to chat. I came here to kick ass and you are one of the people I owe an ass whooping to.
Ronda tells Charlotte, you are not special. You are just first. I’ll see you at Wrestlemania . . . bitch.
Charlotte tells Ronda the opportunity is back in the main event of Wrestlemania. This title is her baby and she’s prettier than yours.
Ronda takes off her jacket and Sonya gets between them.
Sonya tells Ronda she has a terrible temper. She tells Ronda that she runs the show not Ronda. Ronda pushes Sonya aside and avoids Charlotte. Sonya gets on Ronda’s back and Ronda sends Sonya to the mat and applies an arm bar and Sonya taps out.
