WWE SmackDown Results (2/25) Hershey, PA – Tonight’s show begin with a look at the history between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns, focusing on their upcoming Winner Take All Championship Unification at WrestleMania 38

We are live from the GIANT Center in Hershey, PA, where Michael Cole is in the ring to introduce Ronda Rousey.

Michael mentions it has been three years since Ronda set foot in a WWE ring and he asks why did she come back at the Royal Rumble.  

Ronda mentions she broke her hand winning in 2019, then she broke her other hand.  Ronda mentions that then she got pregnant.  She says she knew that she wanted to come back and win the Royal Rumble and punch her second ticket to the main event of the Royal Rumble.  Ronda mentions that her mom was the first person to win a World Championship in Judo while being a single mother.  Ronda says she wants to set the same example of badassery for her daughter.

Cole mentions that Ronda was the first American woman to medal in Judo at the Olympics, was the first women’s champion in UFC, the first woman in the UFC Hall of Fame, and one of three in the first female main event of Wrestlemania.  

Ronda says she wants to tap out Charlotte to win the title.

Cole mentions the match at Elmination Chamber.  We see photos.

Charlotte Flair’s music plays and she makes her way to the ring. She stops on the entrance-way and poses as the pyro goes off.

Flair takes the mic and speaks from the entrance-way, commenting on how much fun it was giving Rousey a little taste of a comeback last week. She comments on Rousey having one arm behind her back and says it won’t be like that at WrestleMania 38 because that night will be stupendous, and she plans on locking Rousey in the Figure Eight. Flair says for the first time in Rousey’s life, she will scream for mercy and tap out, which means Flair will remain the champion. Flair says the silver lining for Rousey is that she gets to go home and work on baby #2.

Still standing on the entrance-way, Flair laughs and Deville hits the ring from behind, taking Rousey down with a chop block. Deville talks some trash as Rousey slowly gets back up. Flair trips her from the floor, pulling her leg out. Flair slams Rousey’s leg around the ring post a few times while talking more trash. Deville talks more trash at Rousey as she struggles to get up. Rousey still takes Deville down with a throw, sending her to the floor retreating. Rousey stands tall as her music hits, yelling out and asking Deville if that’s all she’s got.

– We see Big E and Kofi Kingston riding an ATV backstage. They will face Los Lotharios next. We go to commercial.

— We are back and we see Adam Pearce asking Sonya what is she doing getting involved.  Adam tells Sonya that next week, Sonya will face Ronda Rousey and it is official.

Big E and Kofi Kingston vs. Los Lotharios

We go back to the ring and out comes Los Lotharios – Angel and Humberto. They stop on the entrance-way and pose. We then get the Los Lotharios Kiss Cam as they find a young woman at ringside and kiss her on the cheeks. Out next comes Big E and Kofi Kingston of The New Day. Big E is driving his 4-wheeler and Kofi is on the back. Cole says this was Kofi’s birthday gift to Big E. They ride around the ring and park the quad before entering the ring for this rubber match.

The bell rings as Kofi and Humberto trade holds. Kofi drops Humberto and splashes him for a 2 count. Big E tags in for a big shoulder thrust into the corner, then he lets Kofi leap off his back for a splash in the corner. Big E covers for a 2 count. Big E with an abdominal stretch to Humberto now. Fans chant for The New Day as Big E works over Humberto in the hold. He fights off and mounts offense but Big E beats him down.

Kofi tags back in for more double teaming. Kofi covers but Humberto kicks out at 2. Kofi ends up kicking Humberto but Angel distracts him from the apron, allowing Humberto to kick him to the floor. Los Lotharios take Big E out with a double team, then run to the other side of the ring and take Kofi back down on the floor. They pose at and on the announce table as we go back to commercial.

Back from the break and Angel is working Kofi over in the corner, turning him upside down. Humberto tags back in and they double team Kofi for another 2 count. Humberto grounds Kofi but he slowly fights out as fans chant and rally for The New Day. Humberto drops Kofi and knocks Big E off the apron. Angel tags back in for another double team, rolling Kofi by each of his legs, and slamming the back of his head to the mat.

Angel grounds Kofi in a single-leg Crab now. Kofi resists and gets free, then nails a big running stomp for a pop. Big E is back on the apron now, rallying the crowd. Big E and Humberto tag in at the same time. Big E with a big belly-to-belly suplex, then another. Big E ducks Humberto and hits another belly-to-belly slam. Big E plays to the crowd and gets hyped up, then hits the running splash in the middle of the ring. Big E waits for Humberto as fans rally. Angel distracts from the apron, allowing Humberto to drop Big E with a superkick. Angel tags in but Big E catches him with the Uranage. Kofi tags in and they hit the Midnight Hour. Kof3i covers for 2 but Humberto runs in and makes the save just in time.

Big E gets sent out by Humberto. Kofi dropkicks Humberto out of the ring. Angel blocks the SOS and sends Kofi to the floor. Angel with a big suicide dive to the floor. Angel rolls Kofi back in but now he walks over to the quad, which is still running. Kofi runs and leaps off the steel ring steps, taking Angel down at ringside. Humberto comes over but Big E hits a big belly-to-belly throw on the floor.Kofi goes back in and leaps off the top but Angel superkicks him in mid-air for a close 2 count. Angel can’t believe it.

Angel goes to the top to leap onto Kofi but he stops when he sees Big E sitting on the quad, threatening to run over Humberto at ringside while he’s flat on his back. Kofi takes advantage and comes from behind but Angel rolls through. Kofi levels Angel with a jumping knee. Big E tags back in and they hit the Midnight Hour, then Big E covers for the pin to win.

Winners: Kofi Kingston and Big E

– We see Sam Roberts backstage talking with SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos.

– Cole sends us to a commercial for the Toyota Tundra, featuring Shinsuke Nakamura and Rick Boogs. We go to a break.

– Back from the break and Sheamus and Ridge Holland stop Big E and Kofi Kingston on the quad backstage. They taunt The New Day and Sheamus calls them out for fight night, saying they’d have to use the 4-wheeler to carry their arses out. Big E and Kofi drive off, frustrating Sheamus and Holland.

– Sam Roberts is backstage with SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos. Sam brings up tonight’s WrestleMania 38 contract signing and Jey Uso says it’s for the biggest WrestleMania match of all-time. Jimmy Uso says WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns will put that work in on WWE Champion Brock Lesnar, like they will do to The Viking Raiders. They talk trash about Erik and Ivar, until The Vikings show up and attack them, demanding their title shot.

— We take a look back at the match between Aliyah and Natalya from two weeks ago and what happened after the match when Xia Li came out to make the save. Megan Morant is in the back with Xia Li.  Xia is asked about facing Natalya.  Xia says she has been waiting for this moment her entire life.  She says she is nervous but she is also confident.  Natalya will need protection tonight.

 Xia Li vs. Natalya

They lock up and Natalya sends Xia to the mat.  Natalya kicks Xia in the corner.  Natalya with a forearm to the back and an Irish whip.  Natalya with an Irish whip but Xai goes to the turnbuckles and leaps over Natalya and hits a drop kick for a near fall.  Natalya with a discus clothesline for a near fall.  Natalya with a kick in the corner followed by a suplex.  Natalya with punches and an abdominal stretch and she pulls Xia’s leg off the mat to stretch her more.  Xia with elbows to escape followed by a take down.  Xia blocks a kick and she connects with elbows to the knee.  Xia with jumping knees.  Xia with a drop kick for a near fall.  

Xia escapes a Sharpshooter attempt and Xiam winds up and hits a spinning heel kick for the three count.

Winner:  Xia Li

We take a look back at Sami Zayn’s victory over Shinsuke Nakamura to become the new Intercontinental Championship

— Sami Zayn makes his way to the ring in his attempt to be the Seth Rollins of Smackdown while dancing and smiling.Wr go to commercial.

In the Arena:

We are back and Sami Zayn is dancing and singing in the ring.  He says finally, justice is served.  Sami says he was the victim of a mass conspiracy that robbed him of his Intercontinental Championship.  Look at him now.  Sami says it isn’t what he asked for because the balloons don’t match.  Sami says the old Sami Zayn would have said it was part of the conspiracy.  Sami says there was a conspiracy against him.  They will persecute him every chance they get.  No matter what they throw at him, he can overcome all of it.  Sami wants the people to show him some respect.

Sami says he is happy to give Shinsuke Nakamura a rematch but Nakamura is picking up pieces of the knee cap he shattered.  Sami says he is happy to defend the title against any and all comers.  Anyone brave enough to set foot in the ring with Sami Zayn, that is good enough.

Johnny Knoxville’s music plays and he makes his way to the ring.

Sami wants to know what the hell Johnny is doing here. Johnny says that since Sami crashed his premiere and celebration, he figured he would do the same. Sami asks Johnny to get the hell out of here right now.  Johnny says he thought Sami made a challenge, so let’s do it.

Sami tells Johnny he doesn’t belong in the same ring as him.  You are trying to get under his skin and into his head.  You are good at it, but Sami says he sees through Johnny and it is not going ot work. Johnny asks Sami if he wants to be a fighting champion or does he not have enough balls?

They toss their mics and face off in the middle of the ring now, trash talking each other. Sami says he’s not going to fight, and then walks past Knoxville. Fans chant for Knoxville and he’s distracted by the chants as Sami comes back over and drops him with a cheap shot. Sami beats Knoxville up and then leans him in the corner for a Helluva Kick. Knoxville is still up on his feet, but leaning against the ropes and dazed. Sami yells in his face as officials hit the ring to pull him away. Sami delivers another Helluva Kick and this one puts Knoxville down. Zayn raises the title in the air, and some of his balloons, as the boos get louder. Sami taunts Knoxville some more as he exits the ring.

Back to commercial.

— We are back with Sami Zayn and Adam Pearce. Sami apologizes for what happened but Johnny started it. Adam mentions that Johnny was busted up. Ricochet shows up and says that Sami said he wanted to be a fighting champion. Adam says the match happens next week for the Intercontiental Championship.

Shotzi Blackheart vs. Sasha Banks

Before the match starts, Naomi makes her way to the commentary table.

They lock up and Sasha with a take down into a side head lock.  Shotzi grabs the hair and Sasha slaps Shotzi.  Sasha with a suplex and she holds on for a second one and then she tries for the Three Amigos but Shotzi blocks it.  Shotzi drops Sasha on the top rope and kicks Sasha.  Shotzi gets a near fall.  Shotzi with a running back splash against the ropes for a near fall.  Shotzi tries for a slingshot suplex but Sasha avoids the ropes and gets a near fall with a rollup.  Sasha kicks Shotzi and hits Meteora.

Sasha with a hesitation Codebreaker and then she hits the lungblower into the Banks Statement.  Shotzi taps out.

Winner: Sasha Banks

After the match, Naomi is in the ring and says you are looking at the next WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.

— Megan is in the back with Riddick Moss and Baron Corbin. Megan asks Corbin about his match against Drew McIntyre and we see what happened to Riddick Moss last week. Corbin tells Moss that is using his head.  Corbin says Moss has the strongest neck.  Tonight, Drew has to worry about him.  This is a Wrestlemania caliber match.  Drew was off his rocker at Elimination Chamber.  You don’t get away with that behavior.  He will show Drew who the real warrior is, and that’s no joke.

— McIntyre makes his way to the ring as we go to commercial.

Drew McIntyre vs. Happy Corbin

Before the match, Corbin telle McIntyre that this is a Wrestlemania caliber match so do you want me to embarrass you in Hershey, Pennsylvania.  Corbin says these people are pathetic.  Nothing would make him happier than stomping him to a pulp.  He says Riddick Moss is an inspiration.   Corbin tells Moss he deserves this match. Moss reminds Corbin about his neck.  Corbin says it is only Drew McIntyre.

Corbin his Drew from behind when Moss distracts Drew.  They double team Drew and the referee tells them to get off.

Madcap Moss vs. Drew McIntyre

Moss with a kick to Drew.  Drew with a head butt and Moss falls into the corner.  Drew gets Moss up for the reverse Alabama Slam and Moss grabs the ropes and gets to the floor.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Moss with a rear chin lock.  We see footage from the commercial break when Drew was sent into the ringside barrier by Moss.  Drew runs into boots from Moss in the corner.  Moss with a shoulder tackle for a near fall.  Moss kicks Drew in the corner.  Drew with an Irish whip and Moss tries to float over but Drew kicks Moss in the midsection. Drew and Moss exchange punches.  Moss with an Irish whip and Drew with clotheslines out of the corner followed by two overhead belly-to-belly suplexes and a neck breaker.

 Drew signals for the Claymore and Corbin gets on the apron.  Moss with a thumb to the eye and Drew is sent shoulder first into the ring post. Moss with a DDT for a near fall.  Moss with punches to Drew.  Drew with a Claymore out of nowhere for the three count.

Winner:  Drew McIntyre

— Megan is in the back with Ronda Rousey. She asks Ronda what can we expect next week.  Ronda says she will show what happens when an authority figure gets out of line.

— Roman Reigns makes his way to the ring with The Usos and Paul Heyman.

We go to commercial.

— We are back and next week, The Usos will defend the tag titles against The Viking Raiders and Ricochet will face Sami Zayn for the Intercontinental Championship.

In the Arena:

Adam Pearce and security join Roman, the Usos, and Paul Heyman in the ring.

Roman wants Hershey to acknowledge him.

Paul says we have come to a point in history where there is no way to embellish or exaggerate the enormity of the main event of this year’s Wrestlemania.  What we are facing right now is the biggest single match in history.  The biggest main event on the biggest Wrestlemania of all time.  Bigger than Hulk Hogan versus Andre the Giant.  Bigger than Steve Austin versus the Rock.  Bigger than the night he conquered the Undertaker’s undefeated streak, and Brock deserves credit for half of that.

Roman will solidify his GOAT status against Brock Lesnar in a title unificiation match. It is time to get down to the business at hand.  These security guards are here to protect Brock from his own impulsiveness and to protect Brock from his Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns.

We go to comercial.

We are back and “cowboy” Brock Lesnar makes his way to the ring.

Brock tells Mr. Acknowledgement and Mr. Dick that he would like to introduce himself as the NEW reigning, defending, WWE Champion of the World.  Brock says he has to contain himself.  He says he is impulsive.  If you think for one second that these skidmark security guards are going to stop me from jumping across this table and kicking your asses.  Only himself and the contract are stopping him.  At Wrestelemania, he is going ot kick their asses and you can bet your asses I will get paid for it.

Brock signs the contract and he tosses it at Roman.

Paul tells Brock he is tired of his disrespect.  If you want to make this personal.  The match at Wrestlemania will not be a unification match because you are going ot lose your title next week in Madison Square Garden.

Roman signs the contract.

Pearce walks away with the contract. Reigns says Lesnar, the farm boy, must be confused because that WWE Title belongs to Reigns. Reigns stands up and goes on about how he’s going to smash Lesnar, about how this is his ring, his camera man, Cole and McAfee work for him, the WrestleMania sign is his because he is WrestleMania.

Reigns goes on about how he runs everything and everyone works for him. Lesnar stands up in the ring now. Reigns, speaking from ringside, says everyone works for him, including the security in the ring. They surround Lesnar and put their fists up. Lesnar flips over the table and starts destroying the large group of security guards. Lesnar swings furniture around and delivers his signature moves to clear the ring. Lesnar drops two guards with F5s as The Bloodline looks on from the entrance-way, looking a bit worried. SmackDown goes off the air with Lesnar standing tall in the ring.
