NXT 2.0 Results (2/08) – We begin with Mandy Rose talking about last week.  She says tonight she will get the last laugh.  She beat Raquel Gonzalez for the title, beat Cora Jade, and tonight she ends the career of the top star from the UK.  Mandy says she gets it done in the ring and she has the gold to prove it.  She says she demands respect on her name.  She says she is the baddest bitch in the game.

Men’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Semi-finals: The Creed Brothers vs. The Grizzled Young Veterans

he Creeds meet Gibson and Drake on the floor.  

They make their way into the ring and the match starts.  Brutus with an Irish whip and back body drop to Drake.  Gibson pulls Drake to the floor.  Gibson keeps Drake from getting back into the ring too quickly.  Gibson wants to be tagged in and Drake obliges.  Brutus with a waist lock but Gibson with a hammer lock take down.  Gibson with a hammer lock and Brutus with a fireman’s carry.  Julius tags in and Julius with a judo throw.  Brutus tags in and Julius gives his brother a gutwrench suplex onto Gibson.  Gibson with chops and European uppercuts.  Julius with an Irish whip but Drake absorbs the impact.  Gibson with a clothesline.  Drake tags in and he kicks Julius in the ribs.

Drake with a snap mare and kick to the back.  Drake with forearms.  Julius with a waist lock take down and another take down.  Drake with a side head lock and Gibson tags in.  Julius clotheslines Drake over the top rope to the floor and follows with a drop kick to Gibson.  Julius with a waist lock take down and then Brutus and Julius pass Gibson like a hockey puck with knees.  Brutus with a gutwrench suplex that sends Gibson to the floor.  Brutus pushes Drake down on the floor.  Gibson knocks Brutus off the apron with a thrust to the throat after Drake distracts Brutus.  Drake and Gibson catapult Brutus’ throat into the frame of the ring.

Julius checks on his brother.  Drake sends Brutus into the ring and connects with a forearm.  Drake chokes Brutus on the top rope.  Gibson tags in and they slingshot Brutus to the mat.  Gibson with a chin bar on Brutus and follows with a punch.  Drake tags in and Gibson holds Brutus on the top rope and Drake with a double sledge off the turnbuckles to the back.  Drake gets a near fall.  Drake with a reverse chin lock.  Drake with a front face lock as Brutus turns a shade of Lesnar red.  Gibson tags in and Brutus with a double leg take down on Drake.

Gibson with a forearm to the back.  Brutus with a delayed vertical suplex and both men are down.  Drake tags in and he applies a sleeper after getting between Julius and Brutus.  Brutus with elbows but Drake stops Brutus for a moment.  Julius tags in and he punches Drake and does the same to Gibson on the apron.  Julius with a shoulder tackle to the knee and a Stretch Muffler.  Drake counters into a guillotine but Julius with a back drop and a power slam for a near fall.  Julius with a forearm to send Gibson to the floor.  Julius goes for a suplex but Drake lands on his feet.  Julius with an O’Connor Roll when Gibson makes the tag.  They fight on the floor and Drake with a suicide dive that sends Julius into the announce table.

Drake tags back in and they set for a Doomsday Device and hit it.  Drake gets a near fall.   Drake misses a drop kick into the corner and Drake appears to have injured his knee.  Gibson tags in and so does Brutus.  They exchange forearms and Brutus with a double leg take down and punches.  Brutus knocks Drake off the apron.  Gibson with a double thrust to the throat and Drake tags in.  Drake with forearms.  Gibson tags in and Drake goes up top but Brutus fights Gibson into the corner.  Julius climbs on Brutus and Gibson for a superplex on Drake.  Julius and Brutus with a double spinebuster to Gibson.  Brutus with a clothesline for the three count.

Winners: The Creed Brothers (advance to Finals)

— We take a look at Cora Jade and Raquel Gonzalez from last week and what happened after the match.

— Cora Jade is in the back with McKenzie.  She mentions that Cora and Raquel are in the Dusty Cup that starts in two weeks.  Cora says she is excited to be in the Dusty Cup. Yulisa Leon and Valentina Feroz show up and mention that they are competition for Raquel and Cora. Raquel Gonzalez shows up and she has a conversation with Leon and Gonzalez in Spanish. Gonzalez tells Cora that only she can call Cora that and Cora wants to know what Raquel said.

— We take a look back at the end of Wendy Choo’s match with Amari Miller and Wendy Choo’s theft of the credit car. Wendy and Amari show up and they talk about how it wa a great shopping spree until the credit card was cancelled.

Tiffany Stratton vs. Wendy Choo

Tiffany asks Wendy where is the credit car and Wendy with a wrist lock.  Tiffany with a reversal and wrist lock take down.  Wendy with a drop toe hold and she yawns into a side head lock.  Tiffany with a reversal.  Wendy goes for an O’Connor Roll but Tiffany holds on to the ropes.  Stratton misses a kick and Wendy with a rollup.  Wendy with a kick in the corner.  Wendy with the Sleeple’s Elbow for a near fall.

Wendy stretches into a reverse chin lock.  Stratton with an elbow.  Choo with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex.  Stratton with a forearm when Choo goes for a cartwheel elbow.  Stratton breaks a nail and kicks Choo.  Choo is sent into the turnbuckles. Stratton with a handspring splash into the corner followed by a hesitation kick and twisting splash for the three count.

Winner:  Tiffany Stratton

– We see footage of Draco Anthony being approached by Joe Gacy and Harland in the locker room after last week’s NXT TV debut loss to Andre Chase. Draco talked about being disappointed in the loss when Gacy entered and interrupted. Gacy said Draco should not be disappointed as he gave it everything he had. Gacy told Draco to keep his head up and just remember that he does not have to do this all by himself. Gacy said he’s here to listen, not to just Draco’s actions, but his words. Gacy told Draco to have a good night, then walked off while Harland stared at Draco.

– McKenzie is backstage with Pete Dunne for comments on next week’s Steel Cage match against Tony D’Angelo. Dunne says everyone knows D’Angelo talks too much but he’s been fairly quiet since losing to Cameron Grimes. Dunne says he will finish this where it all started next week, inside a Steel Cage. Draco Anthony approaches and says D’Angelo might not respect Dunne, but he does, and it will be an honor to share the ring tonight. Dunne says whatever and he’s still going to snap Draco’s fingers. Dunne walks off.

Pete Dunne vs. Draco Anthony

We go back to the ring and out comes Pete Dunne with his cricket bat in hand. Back to commercial.

They lock up and Anthony with a wrist lock.  Dunne with a reversal and he takes Anthony to the mat and uses his leg for a hammer lock while trapping the other arm.  Anthony gets back ot his feet.  They go to a Greco Roman Knuckle Lock and Dunne with a drop toe hold.  Anthony kicks Dunne away.  They lock up and Anthony with a waist lock and side head lock take down.  

We see Gacy and Harland watching from the HBalKony.  

Dunne with a side head lock and Anthony with a shoulder tackle.  Anthony goes for a suplex but Dunne blocks it but Anthony holds on to hit the suplex.  Anthony stands on Dunne’s hands but Dunne misses his hands when Anthony tries to stomp on them.  Dunne stomps on Anthony’s hands and kicks Anthony in the head.  Dunne with a hammer lock and then he pulls at the fingers on the other hand.  

 Dunne with a boot to the head.  Dunne with a wrist lock and he puts the hand on the mat and stomps on the upper arm.  Anthony with a forearm to the back and then to the head.  Dunne with a forearm to send Anthony to the mat.  Dunne with an arm bar and chop.  Dunne with a slap and more chops.  Anthony with a clothesline.

Anthony with a clothesline into the corner and a second one.  Anthony with a face plant for a near fall.   Anthony misses an elbow in the corner and Dunne with a kick and knee drop.  Dunne with a double wrist lock.  Anthony with an exploder and Dunne goes to the floor.  Dunne with a kick as Anthony goes to the apron.

D’Angelo tries to hit Dunne with a crowbar but misses a few times.  Dunne punches Tony and then returns to teh ring and htis a German suplex and Bitter End for the three count.

Winner:  Pete Dunne

After the match, D’Angelo chokes Dunne with the crowbar and then Dunne pulls at the fingers to get out of the hold. Dunne goes under the ring and throws in everything he can find under the ring. Dunne rolls a tool box into the ring and then he grabs his cricket bat. Dunne tells Tony he is going to need more than a crowbar next week. 

Dunne suggests they find all the weapons they can find and attach them to the cage for a weaponized Steel Cage Match. Tony accepts.

— Zoey Stark and Io Shirai are in the back talking about the Dusty Cup.  Zoey says Cora and Raquel are a team to be worried about even though they are a makeshift team.  Zoey mentions the other teams in the tournament.  Zoey says they need to find a partner who is hard hitting and just as crazy as Io.   Io says okay and that she is in.  Io says she knows who to ask and Zoey asks if Io will tell her and Io tells her no.

— We go to commercial as LA knight makes his way to the ring.

LA Knight vs. Sanga

Knight has some words for Sanga and Knight avoids a punch and Knight with punches of his own.  Sanga with an Irish whip and Knight avoids a splash.  Knight with a forearm and a second one.  Knight with a drop kick and Sanga stays on his feet. 

Sanga sends Knight into the corner and connects with kicks.  Sanga with a European uppercut.  Sanga with a head butt that sends Knight to the floor.  Waller instructs Sanga on what he should do.  KNight sends Sanga into the ring post and Knight with a double sledge and forearms when Sanga gets back into the ring.  Knight with a kick but Sanga avoids Blunt Force Trauma.  Sanga with an elbow drop for a near fall.

Knight with a series of clotheslines and Sanga stays on his feet.  Knight with a springboard drop kick for a near fall.  Walller removes a turnbuckle pad and Sanga grabs Knight but the throat.  Knight with a thumb to the eye and Knight swings at Waller.  Sanga runs into teh exposed turnbuckle and Knight with a neck breaker for the three count.

Winner:  LA Knight

After the match, Waller comes into the ring and Knight punches Waller and then hits Blunt Force Trauma.

— Duke Hudson is in the back with McKenzie.  McKenzie mentions Dante Chen.  Duke says he hasn’t seen Dante this week.  He says The Singaporean Warrior is not as strong as he says he is.  Duke wishes Indi Hartwell luck next week.

We go to commercial.

— Wade Barrett is in the ring with the official discussion table.  Legado del Fantasma is already in the ring. Barrett introduces Bron Breakker.

Wade asks Bron what makes him so sure he will win next week.  

Bron says he respects Santos, but he will beat Santos next week and there isn’t a thing he can do about it.  Bron says they know how these things go so why not flip over the table and start fighting right now.

Santos laughs and he says he wouldn’t expect an answer other than that from someone so young and naive.  When I say things are done on my time, it means I pull all the strings and I have everything under control.  You don’t even realize.  While people like Paul Heyman are calling you the future of the industry, I am already planning ways to end your career.

Dolph Ziggler makes his way to the ring and takes Wade’s seat.  

Dolph says what a night.  NXT on Syfy.  What a moment.  NXT Champion and challenger ready to throw down, what a moment.  Until I showed up.  Dolph congratulates Bron on knowing how to use Twitter.  Dolph says he does work Tuesdays.  He says he gets a bonus for this.  Dolph says time is money and he is not paid by the hour and he has a plane to catch.  Who the hell are you?

Bron says he is the NXT Champion and I am the reason you are down here.  I will handle you after I am done handling him.

Dolph says that is an amateur hour thing.  You are looking past your opponent for me.   Dolph runs through things he has done in WWE.  He says he is aware that every hundred matches, ninety-nine don’t go the right way but we know what I can do.  He says there is one title he has never won, the NXT Championship.  

Dolph says the best part is that I don’t have to be better than you or smarter than you.  All I have to do is be in your head and with the littlest thumb to the eye…

Tommaso Ciampa makes his way to the ring.

What a moment to have Dolph Ziggler in the ring.  Dolph Ziggler as NXT champion is a hard pass.  Ciampa sits down next to Ziggler and he asks if he can call him kid.  He says he loves Dolph’s spirit but if you are going to walk into my home.

Escobar remembers that he is in a title match and he asks Ciampa if he is now best friends with Breakker because you want the title back?  Why are you here Dolph?  When I become the new NXT Champion, I am going to handle you (points at Ziggler) and he will handle you (as he points at Ciampa)

Ciampa says he is next in line unless this kid has a problem with it.

Ziggler says this is your home.  Ziggler says the same few hundred Florida people come out and clap like seals week in and week out no matter what you do.  You think this is your home.  When does it end?  When does the helmet and elbow pads come off?

Ciampa punches Ziggler and Ziggler and Ciampa exchange punches on the floor while Wilde and Mendoza attack Breakker. Breakker fights them off and sends Wilde and Mendoza to the floor.  Escobar is not happy that it is just the two of them in the ring.  Breakker kicks Escobar and then Mendoza and Wilde attack Breakker and send him through the table with a spinebuster.

Escobar says everything happens on his time.  This is my time.  See you next week, young champion.

— Kay Lee Ray tells Mandy she could have saved a lot of trouble if she gave her the match when she wanted it.  She says don’t worry, it will be finished when I take my NXT Women’s Championship.

— We see Grayson Waller and Sanga leaving the building and Waller says Knight showed his true colors.  Knight broke the restraining order and he will get vengeance next week.  Waller is asked if he is going to challenge Knight to a match.  Waller says that he is going to have him arrested.

Back to commercial.

 Sarray vs. Dakota Kai

They lock up and Kai with a clean break in the corner.  They lock up and Sarray with a wrist lock.  Kai with a reversal and Sarray with a hammer lock.  Kai chokes Sarray in the corner.  Kai with a snap mare and a head scissors take down.   Kai with a thrust kick and she gets a near fall.   Sarray with a rollup for a near fall.  Sarray with a single leg crab but Kai gets to the ropes.  Sarray with a kick to the head.  Sarray misses the drop kick against the ropes when Kai moves.  Kai sends Sarray into the corner and hits a series of running boots in the corner.  Kai gets a near fall.

Kai with a kick to the head.  Kai with another bicycle kick.  Sarray with forearms.  Sarray with a rollup and double stomp to Kai.  Sarray goes to the turnbuckles and hits a missile drop kick for a near fall.  Kai with a scorpion kick or two.  Kai with a swinging reverse DDT for a near fall.  Sarray goes to the turnbuckles and Sarray with a sunset flip for a near fall.  Sarray with another rollup for a near fall.  They exchange near falls.  Kai with a bicycle kick and she goes for the running Yakuza kick but misses and gets her foot caught on the ropes.  

Sarray with a kick and drop kick against the ropes.  Sarray with an exploder for the three count.

Winner:  Sarray

— We go to Carmelo Hayes at the barber shop.  Carmelo talks about how he has his third date with OllieJayy.  Trick says that people are saying that Cameron Grimes has a chance.  Hayes mentions Grimes has been in NXT for two years but what has he achieved?  Trick says Hayes is the Breakout Tournament champ, the North American Champion, and they helped to win at War Games.  Hayes says that he is a top talent.  No one was talking about Cameron Grimes before he was involved with me.

Indi Hartwell is on the phone with Dexter and she says they will have a bubble bath when she gets home.  Persia Pirotta arrives and she asks if that was Duke on the phone. Gigi and Jacy show up and mention that this will be their biggest match of their career.  Indi says they beat them once and will win the titles next week. Persia says that Jacy and Gigi can console Mandy when she loses and then Mandy can console you next week. Jacy asks Indi who will console her when she loses next week, Dexter or her old friend Duke? They start to fight and then have to be separated. We see a photo of Indi and Duke on the floor as we go to commercial.

— We are back with Nikkita Lyons.  She says you hear jack off all trades but master of none.  That is not me.  I can sing and I can kick ass.  She says life on the road made her grow up qucker than she wanted.  She says she would take them all on if she could.  She was the one picking the fights because I could finish them.  You can make assumptions.  if you come at me with that weak ass s***, I will take care of you.

— We see Brooks Jensen and Josh Briggs talking about Brooks talking to Kayden who is with Kacy. Brooks suggests that they do something for Valentine’s Day and Kacy says we can do something and they walk away. Brooks tells Josh to take Kacy to the movies so he can spend time with Kayden.

Men’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Semi-finals: MSK vs. Malik Blade and Edris Enofe

Lee and Blade start things off.  They lock up and Blade backs Lee into the corner and Lee goes to the turnbuckles when Blade gives a clean break.  Lee leaps over Blade.  Lee with a waist lock and Blade with a standing switch.  Lee with a standing switch.  Blake with a leap frog and Lee with a waist lock.  Carter tags in and Lee with a kick from the apron.  Carter with a bronco buster on Blade.  Carter gets a near fall.  Carter with a front face lock and kicks.  Carter misses an enzuigiri and Blade with a waist lock.  Enofe tags in and hits a belly-to-back suplex for a near fall.  Enofe with a reverse chin lock.  Carter with a chop.  Carter sends Enofe over the top rope to the apron.  Enofe with a shoudler and he flips over Carter.  Enofe with a head scissors take down.

Carter with a kick and leg sweep.  Carter with a kick to the chest.  Blade and Lee tag in  Carter and Lee with a series of kicks to Blake.  Carter with a stomp to the back and then Lee sends Carter into Enofe in the corner.  Blake and Enofe go to the floor.  Lee trips Blake and applies a front face lock.  Carter tags in and Lee with a snap mare and Carter with a slingshot senton for a near fall.  Carter kicks Blake in the back of the leg and follows with a running knee.  Carter with a rolling mare but misses a kick.  Blake with a forearm and Enofe tags in.  Enofe with a wraparound bulldog for a near fall.  Enofe with an Irsih whip and shoulder in the corner.  Blake tags in and they send Carter into the turnbuckles and hit a double hip toss for a near fall.

Blade with a reverse chin lock.  Carter with elbows and Blake with a drop kick for a near fall.  Blade with a knee to the back and he returns to the rear chin lock.  Blade with a knee to the back.  Carter with elbows but Blake holds on.  Carter with an elbow and Lee and Enofe tag in.  Lee with kicks and trieks followed by a snap mare and drop kick to the back of the neck.  Lee with a running forearm into the corner followed by an enzuigiri.   Lee with a running double knee strike and Carter tags in.  Lee catapults Enofe into a jumping knee and Carter with a double knee for a near fall.  Blade sends Lee to teh floor and then Blade with a plancha onto Lee.  Enofe with a near fall.  Enofe with a clothesline.  They hit a cutter and gourdbuster combination.  Enofe goes up top and hits a frog splash for a near fall. 

Lee kicks Enofe and he tags in and hits the doomsday Blockbuster for the three count.

Winners;  MSK (advance to Finals)

Both teams are in the ring with the trophy.

— We go to a video for Cameron Grimes.  He says he comes from humble beginnings.  No one has taken more body blows or had to adapt or grow more in NXT than him.  Through everything, he came out the other side a self made man. The big house, the fancy cars, and the money in the bank.  He has everything except what he came into the business for.  He would give it all away and return to the trailer park if he could have that title on his mantle.  The North American Championship against Carmelo Hayes.  There are two ways your career can go.  I said 2022 would be Cameron Grimes’ year.  The boosters are ready and the coordinates are placed.  He is on a one way trip to the moon.

Back to commercial.

— Dakota Kai walks in the back and Wendy tells Dakota it isn’t as easy as it looks.  Wendy walks away.

Mandy Rose vs. Kay Lee Ray for the NXT Women’s Championship

Mandy Rose, Jacy Jayne, and Gigi Dolin attack Kay Lee Ray while fighting with Persia Pirotta and Indi Hartwell.  Mandy is told to go to the ring for the match.

Mandy misses a pump kick and Ray with chops. Ray with a snap mare and chop to Mandy. Ray goes for the KLR Bomb but Mandy with a forearm. Mandy with a Thesz Press and punches. Mandy with forearms but Ray with a clothesline. Ray with forearms. Ray with a tornado DDT for a near fall. Ray kicks Rose. Ray goes to the turnbuckles and Rose rolls to the floor. Ray with a suicide dive onto Mandy. Ray sends Rose into the ring.and gets a near fall. Ray with an irish whip and forearm in the corner. Ray with another Irish whip but she misses a forearm. Mandy sends Ray into the turnbuckles and then sends her head into the turnbuckles many times. Rose with punches. Rose with a spinebuster and she gets a near fall. Mandy with a body scissors.

We are told that Toxic Attraction, Indi Hartwell, and Persia Pirotta have been escorted from the building.

Mandy gets a near fall and then Ray gets one.  Rose with a back slide for a near fall.  Mandy with a reverse gutwrench for a near fall.  Mandy with forearms and then she applies an abdominal stretch.  Ray with an elbow and avoids a clothesline in the corner.  Ray with a clothesline and drop kick.  Ray with a forearm in the corner and enzuigiri.  Ray with a moonsault for a near fall.  Ray gets another near fall.  Ray with a Koji Clutch.  Rose with a rollup for a near fall.
