Drew Mcintyre To Work More WWE Events Than Originally Planned

Drew McIntyre was the workhorse for WWE last year as he worked more matches than any other star in the promotion. What makes that more impressive is he did that with a bad neck towards the end of the year.

He took time off to heal up from a neck injury and used John Cena’s approach to rehab to make it back in quick fashion so he would be able to make it back in time for WrestleMania 38.

McIntyre came back earlier than anyone expected including his doctor as he returned at the Royal Rumble just weeks after being written off television.

Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that “originally the plan was for McIntyre to only work PPVs and do safe matches on TV leading to Mania.” However, McIntyre is scheduled to team with Big E and Kofi Kingston against The Bloodline at this weekend’s live events in Youngstown, OH, and Rochester, NY.

The former WWE Champion is also advertised for live events in March. He just beat Madcap Moss at WWE Elimination Chamber and they will wrestle again on tonight’s SmackDown.
