As noted earlier, Keith Lee defeated Isiah Kassidy during his debut match on AEW Dynamite. Fans may have noticed Matt Hardy and the announcers throwing a little jab at WWE.
Hardy jumped over the guardrail and left Kassidy while the match was still going on. Tony Schiavone referred to Hardy jumping the guardrail as an “erratic” move.
That is a reference to Jeff Hardy jumping the guardrail at his last WWE show. That was described as “erratic” by people in WWE at the time.
The callback also comes across as a tease for Jeff joining the company next month after his non-compete expires. Jeff Hardy is one of several ex-WWE stars rumored to be joining AEW soon.
