Brock Lesnar Confirmed For RAW, Main Event To Determine New #1 Contender

WWE RAW Results (1/03) Greenville, SC – We begin with a look at what happened in the 5-Way Championship Match at WWE Day 1.

We are live from the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, SC, as The lights go down and… Paul Heyman is in the ring.

Paul introduces himself and he says tonight, as an advocate, he would like you introduce you to his client and NEW reigning, defending, undisputed WWE Heavyweight Champion of the world… BROCK LESNAR!

Brock Lesnar. Lesnar comes out to a big pop as the pyro goes off. He raises the WWE Title in the air and rushes to the ring. Lesnar stops and grabs half of the steel ring steps, tossing them in the ring.

Brock thanks Paul.  Before we get this party started he says he would like to give a shout out to his good buddy Roman Reigns.  He is probably sitting at home tuned into Raw, tuned into the NEW WWE Champion, the real champion… BROCK LESNAR.  He tells Roman to get well soon.

Brock asks South Carolina to acknowledge him and he starts to laugh.  Brock says he would also like to acknowledge his advocate for advocating his free agency and for pulling all the strings to make him WWE Champion.

Paul says if you think it is interesting here, you should see what has gone on behind the scenes.  When he came to face a champion and one could not appear so why not make the Fatal Four Way a Fatal Five Way with Brock Lesnar.  All of the strings are pulled and Brock was able to enter the match.  What does Brock do as YOUR WWE Champion?  He focuses on reigning and defending.  Brock will face the man who wins the match originally announced for Day 1.

You have Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins.  You have to mention them together because they are a team.  He says it is smart for someone as dumb as Seth Rollins.  Seth is not a visionary.  If he was a visionary, he would know that his wife is going to leave him if he cannot beat Brock Lesnar.  It won’t be Kevin Owens because Kevin cannot get Brock either.  Maybe they should be traded to Smackdown because there is a tribal chief who is a little vulnerable without his special advocate.

Paul says one week without him as special counsel, Roman has COVID.  You can get over the Rona, but karma is a little bitchy.

Let’s talk about MVP, but let’s not talk about him because no one talks about him.  Let’s talk about Bobby Lashley.  They have never met before.  It is like they are avoiding each other.  The first time they met, Lashley speared Brock through that wall.  The second time they met, he hit an F5 on everyone but Lashley and Lashley speared him.  The third time they met, Lashley put Lesnar in the Hurt Lock.  It didn’t look like Brock was going to get out and it is a testament to how good Lashley is.  Lashley was hitting Brock from the blindside or behind.

If they meet at the Royal Rumble, they will have to meet face to face and that is an entirely different story.  He will go down as a Brock Lesnar wannabe.

Paul says he has nothing bad to say about Big E.  He was a great champion.  He is a credit to the company, the audience, and the WWE Universe.  Big E would still be champion if he did not have to step into the ring with Brock Lesnar.  If Big E wins and gets a rematch, it will be an honor to witness that match.  You are going to lose, which is no shame.  It would be an honor to see you lose to the greatest WWE Champion.

We take a look at what happened last week.

Miz asks the people if they liked that and found it funny.  You enjoyed that because your lives and relationships are so miserable you want bad things to happen to good people.  We know that true love always wins.

After that wedding vow, he vowed he would end Edge’s career.  When he got into the ring at Day 1.  It wasn’t Brood Edge, Rated R Superstar Edge, or the Edge he respected.  It was the Edge who hid behind his wife.  What kind of man does that?

Edge does not deserve your respect and he doesn’t have his respect. Who would let their wife fight their battles. Maryse says Michael would never do that because he is courageous, strong, and handsome.  Beth Phoenix took your moment but if she was here tonight, Maryse says she would punch Beth in her face.

Beth Pheonix makes her way to the stage and she is joined by her husband, Edge. They come to the ring.

Beth asks Maryse what was she saying.

Edge says that is what they figured.  Edge tells Mike that most people would take the L and move on.  Fortunately, or unfortunately, I know you better than that.  I knew you would come out and bitch and moan and complain and make every excuse.  Maybe it was the Browns losing last week, or you heard Beth’s music, or your socks weren’t properly pressed.  Do I need to point out how much of a hypocrite you are.

Edge points out that Miz was at a loss for words.  Edge says he doesn’t ask Beth to help her fight her battles.  Beth says that was her idea.  Edge says he has an idea.  If you want to rectify this travesty that happened at Day 1 and you picked.  You would have lost even if Beth wasn’t involved.  We are going to give you what you want.  Edge suggests the marquee with Miz and Maryse versus The Rated R Superstar and Glamazon at the Royal Rumble.

Miz asks Edge if he is serious.  Miz mentions that Maryse is the executive producer of Miz and Mrs., an entrepreneur, and the mother of his children teaming to go against you?

Beth says a simple yes or no will suffice. Miz says they accept and Maryse is not happy with her husband’s answer.

Beth teases a punch and Maryse goes down.

Backstage:

We go to Kevin Patrick with Big E.  Kevin mentions that odds were stacked against him on Saturday so how motivated is he to win tonight. Big E says being WWE Champion meant a lot to him.  It meant something to a lot of people too.  There is no shame in losing to Brock Lesnar.  What we don’t do is get kicked and stay down.  We don’t wallow in selt pity.  We make sure our next chapter is our best chapter.  Tonight, I get to right the wrongs and reclam what is his.  There isn’t a soul on Earth who can stop him.
