Roman Reigns Medically Cleared - Set For SmackDown

WWE shared some great news today as Roman Reigns has been medically cleared to return to work after testing positive for COVID-19. It was also announced that the Universal Champion will appear on Friday’s SmackDown to confront Brock Lesnar.

“Roman Reigns has been medically cleared and is set to return at tomorrow’s Friday Night SmackDown. The Universal Champion was unable to compete at WWE Day 1 after testing positive for COVID. His slated opponent Brock Lesnar was added to the WWE Championship Fatal 5-Way Match and went on to capture the title. On this week’s Raw, Lesnar warned Reigns that he was heading to the blue brand this week. What will be in store when this explosive confrontation goes down tomorrow night? Don’t miss the massive encounter this Friday at 8/7 C on FOX.”

Reigns had to pull out of his title defense against Lesnar at the WWE Day 1 event this past Sunday due to him having the virus, which caused concern as he has beaten Leukemia and is immunocompromised.

WWE added Lesnar into the WWE Championship match that made it be a Fatal 5-Way with Big E, Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens, and Bobby Lashley. Lesnar ended up winning the WWE Title.

Lesnar will defend the WWE Title against Lashley at the Royal Rumble, but WWE still has future plans for at least one more match between Lesnar and Reigns.
