WWE RAW Results (1/24) Toledo, OH – We are live from the Huntington Center in Toledo, OH, where Adam Pearce and Corey Graves are alredy in the ring to bring out the participants in the WWE Championship match for the weigh in.
Out first is the challenger, Bobby Lashley, with MVP.
Corey Graves is about to introduce Brock Lesnar but Paul Heyman comes out and he says that he is sick of people like Corey Graves stealing his shtick because no one does it as well as him. Paul introduces the WWE Champion Brock Lesnar.
Corey questions Brock’s choice of attire and Brock asks if Corey would like for him to get naked. He asks for the weigh in to continue.
Bobby is the first to be weighed. and he comes in at 273 pounds.
Porter mentions that Lashley is closer to a god than a man. 273 pounds of bottled lightning that Brock will have to deal with at the Royal Rumble. Porter says this match was inevitable. Porter says that Bobby is going to gain a little weight after the Royal Rumble, about as much as the title belt.
Brock is asked to get on the scale and Brock has Paul hold his hat. Brock weighs in at 286 pounds.
Lashley says this is pissing him off. You are acting like a fool because you know I am beating you for the title on Saturday. Mark my words, this will be the shortest title run of your entire career. That is not a prediction, that’s a spoiler.
Brock asks who is the comedian now. Brock says on Sunday morning, hot off the press, Bobby Lashley beats Brock Lesnar in the Hurt Lock. Brock says we have a new champion. The NEW reigning, defending champion of the world: Bobby… WHO?
— We take a look back at Bianca Belair winning the Royal Rumble last year and then wining at Wrestlemania.
We go to commercial.
Bianca Belair vs. Queen Zelina
They lock up and Bianca sends Zelina to the apron and then pulls her back into the ring with a waist lock and swings her around before sending Zelina to the mat. Zelina with an Irish whip and Bianca floats over and hits a drop kick. Bianca goes for a delayed vertical suplex but Zelina counters with Stundog Millionaire. Zelina kicks Bianca and chokes her in the corner. Zelina with a running knee. Bianca pushes Zelina into the corner but misses a splash. Zelina goes to the turnbuckles but Bianca with a forearm. Bianca presses Zelina over her head but Zelina counters into a rear naked choke.
Bianca backs Zelina into the corner and then snap mares Zelina. Zelina with a head scissors but Bianca lands on her feet. Bianca with drop kicks. Bianca with a suplex and she rolls through into a delayed vertical suplex. Bianca goes for the handspring moonsault but Zelina gets her knees up and goes for Code Red but Bianca blocks it and Bianca with KOD for the three count.
Winner: Bianca Belair
We see how Kevin Owens defeated Damian Priest last week.
Kevin is in the locker room and Burt Patrick ambushes him to ask about Damian Priest. Burt asks Kevin a question and Kevin asks Burt if he says he is lying. Kevin says that Burt’s question is moot. He was not faking an injury. He was fighting through the pain and he got a title match out of it. He says he will keep fighting until he is United States Champion.
— Damian Priest makes his way to the ring as we go to commercial.
WWE United States Title Match: Kevin Owens vs. Damian Priest
Back from the break and we get formal ring introductions from Mike Rome. The bell rings and Priest immediately blocks a Stunner, taking it to the corner. Owens unloads with strikes and chops. Priest turns it back around with big rights and lefts. Owens goes for the leg but Priest rocks him and fights out of the corner. Owens gets the upperhand, drops Priest and nails a senton and elbow drop.
Owens goes on but Priest blocks a Corner Cannonball. Owens escapes a chokeslam attempt but Priest rocks him and sends him to the floor for a breather. Priest runs the ropes but puts the brakes on as Owens goes to the floor for a breather. Priest keeps control but Owens superkicks him on the apron, sending him back to the floor.
Owens goes for a big Cannonball from the apron to the floor but Priest gets his knees up and Owens lands bad. Priest then drops Owens hard over the edge of the apron and stands tall at ringside as we go back to commercial.
Back from the break and Owens avoids a Broken Arrow. Priest levels Owens for a close 2 count. Priest takes Owens to the top turnbuckle and rocks him with a right hand. Owens fights back and delivers a big headbutt to knock Priest down. Owens with a big tornado DDT. Owens goes back to the top for the Frogsplash but Priest kicks out just in time and Owens can’t believe it.
Priest blocks a Pop-Up Powerbomb, then nails a big boot. Priest goes on but Owens kicks out just in time. Priest shows some frustration now. Owens sells an arm injury but Priest isn’t buying it. Priest attacks Owens and ignores the referee but fans boo him. Owens rolls to the apron and drops Priest over the top rope, then rolls him with a handful of tights for a close 2 count.
Priest blocks a Stunner and drops Owens. Priest has snapped now. Priest unloads with kicks in the corner as the referee warns him. Priest backs off but attacks again. Priest keeps pounding on Owens until the referee calls the match.
Winner by DQ: Kevin Owens
– After the bell, fans continue booing Priest. Owens is announced as the winner, but Priest retains. Priest rushes out of the ring and to the back as the referee checks on Owens at ringside.
– We see how Nikki A.S.H. attacked Rhea Ripley last week. We get pre-recorded backstage promos with Rhea Ripley, WWE 24/7 Champion Dana Brooke, and Liv Morgan talking about how they will win at the Royal Rumble.
– We go back to the ring and out comes Rhea Ripley to a pop. Back to commercial.
Rhea Ripley, Dana Brooke, and Liv Morgan vs. Carmella, Tamina, and Nikki A.S.H.
Tamina and Dana start things off and Tamina with a back elbow and punches. Tamina with a chin bar on Dana. Dana with elbows and Tamina with a forearm to the back. Dana lands on her feet on a suplex attempt and Rhea tags in and drop kicks Tamina and goes after Nikki but Nikki gets to the floor. Rhea punches Carmella. Rhea with a head butt and kicks to Tamina followed by a drop kick. Rhea with a back heel kick and Northern Lights suplex for a near fall. Nikki with a swinging neck breaker to Liv. Dana with a drop kick to Nikki. Carmella tags in and she pushes Carmella. Rhea with the reverse Cloverleaf and Carmella taps out.
Winners: Rhea Ripley, Dana Brooke, and Liv Morgan
After the match, Nikki hits Rhea from behind and leaves the ring.

In the Arena:
Keviin Patrick is in the ring to host the Academic Challenge. The first contest is a spelling bee.
Chad says he will explain to the mindless morons of Ohio what is going to happen. Tonight is the first in a triad of events over the coming weeks. There will be three events. These events will not only prove that he is an Olympian, but a man with a Masters Degree with a 4.0 GPA. Chad tells people not to boo education because the people of Ohio need it. This will prove that his protege not only has brawn, but brains as they force RK Bro into mental submission.
Chad says that they are now in the Royal Rumble.
Randy Orton and Riddle make their way to the ring.
Kevin says the winner tonight will get to choose next week’s competition.
Otis is the first to spell and his word is emmental. Otis asks for a definition and Otis spells it.
Riddle is next and his word is calibration. Riddle asks for a sentence. He would like it put into letters but Kevin tells him that he has to spell it. Riddle is correct.
Chad is next to spell. His word is disillusion. Chad asks for the definition and he shooshes him because he is Mr. 4.0. Chad is wrong because he did not hear Kevin’s pronunciation of the word.
Randy tells Chad to take a seat.
Randy’s word is dumbbell and Orton is correct.
Orton tells Gable he is going to beat him tonight with the three most destructive letters in Sports Entertainment . . . R-K-O.
Chad Gable vs. Randy Orton
Gable goes for the leg and Orton avoids him. They lock up and Orton with a side head lock. Gable with a top wrist lock into a wrist lock. Orton with a front face lock. Orton with a waist lock into a wrist lock. Orton with a side head lock and shoulder tackle. Gable with a hammer lock and Orton with a reversal. Orton with a side head lock and shoulder tackle. Gable with arm drags into an arm bar. Orton with an Irish whip and Gable floats over and Orton avoids an arm drag. Gable avoids the RKO and goes to the floor.
Gable returns to the ring and they lock up. Orton with a wrist lock and Gable with an ankle pick and Orton gets to the floor before he can apply an ankle lock. Gable with a shot to the throat and Gable with punches and forearms in the corner. Orton puts Gable in the corner and connects with European uppercuts. Orton with a back elbow. Orton with a back drop driver to Gable onto the announce table. Orton sends Gable back into the ring and Otis gets on teh apron and Orton knocks him off the apron. Gable clips Orton and then connects with a shoulder. Gable with a moonsault for a near fall.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Gable works on the ankle. Gable puts Orton’s leg in the ropes and hits a dragon screw on the other leg. We see Gable sending Orton into the announce table with a back drop driver. Back to live action, Gable with an Irish whip and Orton with two clotheslines and he avoids a clothesline. Orotn with a back body drop. Orton with a clothesline but Orton holds on to the ropes on an O’Connor Roll attempt. Orton with a back breaker. Orton sets for an IEDDT and hits it. Orton looks around and drops to the mat for the RKO punches. Riddle goes after Otis and Otis with an exploder. Gable with a back slide for a near fall.
Orton with a power slam. Orton goes for the field goal kick but Gable avoids it and applies an ankle lock. Riddle hits Otis with the scooter and then Orton sends Gable into the turnbuckles to escape and then Orton with an RKO for the three count.
Winner: Randy Orton
After the match, Riddle mentions that they won the spelling bee so they get to choose the challenge. Riddle says it is time to go to gym class for an old fashioned scooter race.
— We take a look back at last week’s doctor’s appointment wtih Alexa Bliss.
We go to commercial.
— We are in the doctor’s office and he asks Alexa when did she first meet Lilly. Alexa says she met her when she was six. Alexa says a few teenage girls picked on her and she was on the monkey bars and she got pushed off. Alexa says she was unconscious but when she woke up she met Lilly. Alexa says they got ice cream and played on the monkey bars. They ate a lot of candy.
— We take a look at Austin Theory’s victory over Finn Balor.
— We take a look at Vince McMahon and Austin Theory from earlier today. Austin says it felt good to destroy Finn Balor and he will win the Royal Rumble to be in the main event of Wrestlemania. Austin asks for a late number like 26, 27, or 29. Vince asks why would he have an influence on that? Vince tells Austin he needs to worry about his opponent, AJ Styles. Austin says that is good. Vince tells Austin he better bring back a good selfie.
— AJ Styles makes his way to the ring as we go to commercial.
— We are back and Veer says the eyes of a lion tell a story. Veer is coming to Raw.
— We see what Grayson Waller did to AJ Styles on Raw.
AJ Styles vs. Austin Theory
They lock up and Theory backs AJ into the corner and gives a clean break. Theory mocks AJ. They lock up and AJ backs Theory into the corner but Theory with another break and he poses. AJ with a side head lock. AJ holds on when Theory tries to send him off the ropes. AJ with a rollup for a near fall. Theory gets AJ on his shoulders but AJ with a sunset flip for a near fall. AJ with another rollup for a near fall. AJ drop kicks Theory to the floor. AJ with a slingshot forearm to Theory. AJ with a chop in the corrner and then he blocks a kick. Theory with a punch but AJ with a kick to the leg. Theory sends AJ into the turnbuckles.

AJ is Irish whipped sternum first into the corner. Theory with a punch. Theory chokes AJ and the referee warns him. AJ with a forearm. Theory with a gourdbuster to AJ. AJ is put on the turnbuckles and then Theory goes for a superplex. AJ pushes Theory off and Theory with a rolling drop kick to send AJ to the floor.

Back from the break and they’re going at it. Theory with a big backbreaker in the middle of the ring for a 2 count. AJ with big right hands now. Theory connects with a big back-drop for a 2 count. Theory stands tall and talks some trash, taunting AJ. Theory takes AJ down and stomps on him. Theory talks more trash in AJ’s face but misses a big elbow drop as AJ moves. AJ fights back and nails the moonsault into an inverted DDT from the corner. AJ with a clothesline. Theory kicks him but AJ keeps fighting and levels him.
Styles with a big suplex into a neckbreaker, then the sliding forearm but Theory still kicks out at 2. Theory slides off AJ’s shoulders and rocks him with elbows, then a belly-to-back suplex for a close 2 count. Theory shows some frustration now. Theory stalls some and AJ hits a jawbreaker. Theory comes back with a big rolling Blockbuster from the corner. AJ still kicks out at 2. Theory with strikes and trash talking in the corner. Theory takes AJ to the top for a superplex but AJ slides down and sends him into the turnbuckles. Theory still nails an elbow. They tangle some and AJ hits the pele kick to drop Theory.
Theory blocks the Styles Clash but AJ blocks the ATL. AJ goes into the Calf Crusher but Theory gets the bottom rope to break the hold. Theory blocks a kick and mushes AJ in the face. AJ springboards up for the Phenomenal Forearm but Theory pushes the rope and AJ goes down. Theory covers but puts his feet on the ropes and the referee stops him. Theory argues with the referee now. AJ kicks Theory and this time nails the Phenomenal Forearm for the pin to win.
Winner: AJ Styles
– We see Doudrop and RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch getting ready for an interview.
– The announcers send us to a trailer for the WWE 2K22 video game.

We see Becky Lynch and Doudrop in split screen for their interview about their match on Saturday night.
Becky interrupts Jimmy because he was asking Doudrop a question. Becky says she has a story about a wee lass named Doudrop. She got her start across the pond and who did she dream to face? She wants Doudrop to tell everyone about how she paved the way for her. Becky says that she is that confident in how damn good she is. She says she is generous to grant a shot to a fellow Celt.
Doudrop says that maybe Becky is desperate. You have been ducking and diving and struggling to hold on to that championship. You thought, put the new girl in there for an easy victory. It will be easy for me to win the title.
Becky says she did not hear a thank you from Doudrop. For giving her the chance and for giving her a title match at one of the biggest events of the year. If you would have thanked me when I gave you the match, but i had to slap your face. I told you that I would lead you to victory but you splashed me and left me lying. When you step in the ring with me I will continue to be the Raw Champion.
Doudrop says she will show some gratitutde when you shoe me some respect. You will just whine. You are a sad lamb on its way to the slaughter. I will be the new Raw Women’s Champion.
Doudrop gets up and leaves the room but she finds the room Becky is in and she attacks the champion. A brawl breaks out but officials quickly separate them.
– We see what happened between The Street Profits and The Mysterios last week after their eight-man match with Rey Mysterio dumping the others over the top rope. Sarah Schreiber is backstage with Rey and Dominik Mysterio now. Rey talks about what an honor it is to be a WWE 2K22 cover Superstar. Rey says it would make him proud to see his son on the cover one day. Dominik says to achieve that he needs to cement his legacy, and that begins this weekend when he wins The Rumble. Rey and Dominik joke around about eliminating each other.
The Street Profits vs. The Mysterios
We go back to the ring and out come The Street Profits – Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins. The red Solo cups fall as they head to the ring together. Back to commercial.
Dawkins and Dominik start things off and Dominik with a side head lock and head scissors. Dominik with a punch an he goes ot the ropes for a springboard wrist lock take down. Dawkins with a back elbow and he gets a near fall. Dominik with a rollup that sends Dawkins to the floor and then Dominik with a suicide dive to Dawkins. Rey with a srpingboard cross body onto Ford. Ford sends Rey over the top rope but Dominik catches him. Ford with a flip dive as we go to commercial.
We are back and Dawkins with a reverse chin lock on Dominik. Dominik with elbows but Dawkins with a forearm for a near fall. Dawkins returns to the reverse chin lock. Dawkins misses a twisting splash into the corner. Dominik with a tornado DDT and both men are down. Rey and Ford tag in and Rey with a head scissors. Rey knocks Ford down and hits a seated splash from the turnbuckles. Rey is sent face first to the mat and Ford with a rolling splash for a near fall. Dominik tosses Rey to Ford and Ford is sent into the ropes. Dawkins pulls Dominik from the ring. Rey drop kicks Ford into the ropes and Ford blocks the 619. Rey with a victory roll for the three count.
Winners: The Mysterios
After the match, Dominik tries to send Rey over the top rope to the floor but Rey sends Dominik to the floor. Ford sends Rey over the top rope. Dawkins throws Ford over the top rope. Roode and Ziggler throw Dawkins over the top rope. All six men battle in the ring and Roode and Ziggler are thrown over the top rope to the floor.

We are back with Kevin Patrick and Seth Rollins.
Seth says it sounds good and he has some inside information for Kevin. It was not about the Usos. It is about Seth and Roman and they go one-on-one at the Rumble. I like my odds because I have beaten Roman before. Roman knows I have his number. I am the only one who can put him in his place. I will make a trip to Smackdown because I like to deliver my messages in person.
— The announce team take a look at the Royal Rumble card.
— The Miz makes his way to the ring as we go to our final commercial of the night.
— We are back and we are told that Shawn Michaels will be the special guest for RAW talk.
In the Arena:
Miz welcome us to Maryse’s Birthday Extravaganza. Tonight, we celebrare Maryse’s birthday and Saturday we celebrate their victory over Edge and Beth Phoenix.
Maryse makes her way to the ring.
Maryse oopens her first gift and it is a painting he her and Maryse. Maryse says she feels more special than the day she had her children. She says she feels more special than when you got me that pink car. Miz mentions it was a Rolls Royce. Maryse says she feels more special than when Mike got her a $500,000 ring.
Miz points out he got top notch security and there will be no Edge or Beth. Miz gives Maryse her next gift and it is a purse. Maryse says she wants the big one and Miz doesn’t know what that gift is. Miz wonders what is in that gift if neither of them got it. Miz has security open the gift. It is opened and there is a brick in there. Miz asks if we were going to have a giant box that could fit a person inside and not know what is in it. That is the brick that Maryse used to hit Beth.
Miz wants everyone to sing Happy Birthday for Maryse.
The performance is interrupted by Edge and Beth coming to the ring to Edge’s music. Edge says this security won’t help Miz on Saturday because he has a pissed off Rated R Superstar and a pissed off Glamazon, and they’re coming to the ring to show why that’s bad for Miz and Maryse. They rush the ring and start taking out security guards, tossing them into the ring posts and the steel ring steps.
Edge and Beth rush the ring, destroying the birthday items and taking out security guards with slams, Spears and even a 3D. Miz and Maryse seethe and yell from ringside. Edge powerbombs a security guard through the cake on the table. Edge and Beth pose in the ring as Miz and Maryse look on from ringside. Edge and Beth tease an attack as the final RAW before the Royal Rumble goes off the air.
