There have been some fans who have compared Bron Breakker to Brock Lesnar as they’re two big guys who were quickly put into the main event scene.
Lesnar went through OVW then to the main roster where he pushed as a monster before beating The Rock for the WWE Title at the 2002 SummerSlam event.
During an interview with Sporting News, Breakker talked about the comparisons:
“I just take it one day at a time, to be honest with you. Brock is the man. He’s been the man for a long time. He’s done tons of great things in the WWE and obviously went to the UFC to become the champion. If people say that I’m on the same directory as him then that’s pretty cool,” Bron stated. “He’s awesome. But I take it a day at a time and focus on the task at hand. I’m just trying to get better each and every day.”
Breakker beat Tommaso Ciampa at NXT New Year’s Evil to become the new NXT Champion. He made his debut this past September when the show was rebranded as NXT 2.0.
