WWE is in an all-hands-on-deck type of situation this week due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
With WWE holding RAW tonight, the company will have to make changes to the script due to a number of wrestlers not being able to be at the show whether that is because they tested positive or they were exposed to someone who has the virus.
PWInsider reports the Producers have been hit hard with COVID-19. Usually, there are a dozen of Producers at a RAW event, but tonight, WWE is down to half of that number, which will increase the workload for those agents who have been cleared to be there.
Montez Ford has been cleared for in-ring action as he made his return at Sunday’s MSG event so the Mysterios vs. Street Profits bout to determine the new #1 contenders for the RAW Tag Team Titles will take place on RAW.
Veer Mahan, Apollo Crews, and Commander Azeez have been spotted in Detroit, the site of tonight’s RAW, so they will be backstage at the show and could appear on the broadcast.
PWInsider also reports the WWE Hall of Famer Edge is slated to appear tonight and on several upcoming episodes of RAW coming out of the Day 1 PPV.
WWE brought in Edge for Sunday’s live event at Madison Square Garden to work a steel cage match with Kevin Owens after several top stars had to be pulled from the show. The former WWE Champion commented on that match with this post on Instagram:
“Funny thing happened on my way to Detroit. I ended up in Madison Square Garden in a cage match against Kevin Owens. When I first got word I could wrestle again, this match was on my short list of things to do before I retire(for the last time). Have a feelin we’ll see each other again.”
