On today’s Mat Men Pro Wrestling podcast, Andrew Zarian reported that things were rough for Jeff Hardy over the last couple of weeks. While nothing has been confirmed by Jeff or WWE on what exactly happened at the house show on Saturday, Sean Ross Sapp recently reported that Hardy refused to go to rehab before the company released him earlier today.
“What I was told is that he’s been really good,” Zarian said. “He does occasionally drink but the last couple of weeks has been rough for him. Those are the words, more or less. I hope he gets better.”
This would be the third time that Jeff was let go by the company. He was first let go in 2003 because of personal issues and then again in 2009. Both times he ended up wrestling for Impact Wrestling and there were issues while he worked for them as well. It was just a couple of weeks ago on Steve Austin’s Broken Skull Sessions that Jeff indicated that he’s been doing well.
