Jade Cargill defeated Thunder Rosa to advance to face Ruby Soho in the finals of the AEW TNT Women’s Championship tournament.
Cargill won after she was blindsided by someone at ringside. The woman and Cargill continued the attack after the match and it was revealed that the hooded woman was former WWE star Mercedes Martinez.
After her debut tonight, it was confirmed by Tony Khan has signed a contract with All Elite Wrestling.
Martinez was released by WWE earlier this year. She is a welcome addition to the roster because of her in-ring work. Now with Toni Storm becoming available, AEW seems to be poised to make some big strides with the women’s roster in 2022.
