Cody Rhodes defeated Sammy Guevara during the Christmas night episode of AEW Rampage on Saturday night. This makes Rhodes the first 3-time TNT Champion.
Rhodes got a mixed reaction when he walked out during his entrance and was booed towards the end of the match and then fans chanted “this is awesome” after Rhodes kicked out of the GTH. Rhodes won the match after getting hit knees up and then hitting 2 consecutive Cross Rhodes and the Tiger Driver 98. There were loud boos when Rhodes won the match.
Rhodes celebrated with the Nightmare Family and the title was awarded to him by David Crockett.
