On tonight’s AEW Dynamite, the feud between Cody Rhodes and Andrade El Idolo apparently came to a fiery end.
Both men used weapons and it was a bloody match but the big spot happened at the end of the match when Brandi Rhodes made her surprise return to pour lighter fluid and to set a table on fire so that her husband could but Andrade through it.
The spot was very reminiscent of something that you would have seen on ECW TV many years ago. Rhodes got the win over Andrade after the table spot.
Of course, the spot is already a big topic of discussion on Twitter, since it was actually Cody Rhodes himself who took the brunt of the table.
As always, Cody received a mixed reaction – probably mostly boos actually – in his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia during his entrance and throughout the match.
Rhodes’ fan reactions have become one of the most compelling stories to follow in AEW, with the fans seemingly turning on him due to him often taking time away for other projects, but him constantly saying he’s adamant that he won’t turn heel.
