NXT 2.0 Results (11/16) – We are live from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, FL, as Tony D’Angelo makes his way to the ring for our first match of the night.

Tony D’Angelo vs. Dexter Lumis

Before the match, Dexter shows Tony a drawing of Tony ‘sleeping with the fishes’.

The bell rings and Tony goes to the floor and Lumis follows.  Tony kicks Lumis when Dexter returns to the ring.  Tony with punches.  Tony avoids the Thesz Press but Lumis and a Thesz Press.  Lumis with punches and a double sledge to the chest.  Lumis sends Tony into the turnbuckles.  Lumis with a chop in the corner followed by an uppercut.  Lumis with kicks and an Irish whip but he misses a charge into the corner.  D’Angelo with a belly-to-belly suplex followed by kicks.  Tony with a reverse chin lock.  Tony with a slam.  

Lumis goes for Silence but Tony with elbows.  Lumis with punches and he connects with a clothesline into the corner.  Tony goes to the apron but Lumis with a choke but Tony drops Lumis on the top rope.  Tony gets the easel and the referee takes it.  Tony with a thumb to the eye and then he gets the three count.

Winner:  Tony D’Angelo

After the match, Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes attack Lumis from behind.  Hayes with a Codebreaker and Williams with a clothesline.  They get a chair and put his hand in it.  Hayes with a stomp off the turnbuckles onto the chair. Johnny Gargano makes his way to the ring and Hayes and Williams leave.

We go to commercial.

We are back and we see Indi and Johnny walking with Lumis to the back. 

Johnny Gargano is in the ring and he says that Carmelo Hayes had made this personal. He wanted to win the title to prove he was better than him.  Now, you screwed with the wrong guy’s son in law.  You screwed with my family and when you screw with my family, I kick your teeth down your throat. He tells Carmelo to come to the ring.

Pete Dunne makes his way to the ring.  Dunne tells Johnny not to try to worm his way into a title match.  You stood and watched me pin Carmelo. Johnny says that Pete won with his help.

Carmelo Hayes comes out on the platform and Trick Williams says that Snow White is missing some dwarves.  Williams says they make him sick.

Dunne wants to know who Williams is.  Johnny says that is the guy who carries Melo’s bags. Hayes says they have it all wrong.  If it wasn’t for this championship, none of you would be relevant.  Dunne tells Hayes to shut up.  He says he is the same age as Hayes, with ten years more experience, and a victory over you.

Hayes tells Pete they can run it back.  You can get your title shot too Johnny.  It can happen at the same damn time.  We can do it for the North American Championship next week. Johnny says he has been here for five years and you can ask anybody that Johnny Gargano in the ring is can’t miss.  Next week, me, Pete Dunne, and Carmelo Hayes for the North American Championship.  You don’t want to miss that.

— Diamond Mine is in the locker room and Bivens says that they will show that they are the greatest team under the leadership of Roderick Strong. Joe Gacy shows up and he says he likes seeing people unite under one roof with a common bond.  You should keep the door open for opportunities. Bivens says that if Gacy wants to join Diamond Mine there is a tryout in a few weeks and it costs $837.50.

We go to commercial.

— We are back with a video for LA Knight.  He says he doesn’t need the watch, shirt, or jacket because he is a megastar without it.  If you want to label him 2.0 or 1.0, I had one goal when I came to NXT.  I will be the champion.  Then here comes Grayson Waller who gets in my way.  I have done everything it took to get here.  What did you do?  What do I have to do to Grayson Waller?  He has to get the brakes knocked off him.  Waller can do anything he wants.  I am the megastar.

Creed Brothers and Roderick Strong vs. KUSHIDA, Ikemen Jiro and Odyssey Jones

Strong and Jiro start things off and they lock up.  Strong sends Jiro to the mat and Strong chops Jones.  Jiro tags in Jones and Strong tags in Julius.  Julius goes for the leg and he gets on Jones’ back.  Jones with a snap mare and clothesline.  KUSHIDA tags in and he goes up top and hits a double sledge to the arm.  KUSHIDA with a wrist lock and Jones tags in and he goes to the turnbuckles and chops the arm.  Jiro tags in and he goes up top and Julius moves and hits a front face lock suplex.  Brutus tags in and he gets Jiro up for a slam but Jiro gets to his feet and he punches Brutus.  Brutus with an irish whip and uranage.  Brutus with a knee drop.  Strong tags in.

STrong gets Jiro on his shoudlers but Jiro gets to his feet and he tags in KUSHIDA.  KUSHIDA with a palm strike and reverse atomic drop.  KUSHIDA with a hip toss and cartwheel followed by a drop kick.  KUSHIDA iwht a handspring back elbow to Julius.  Strong with a forearm to the back.  Strong with kicks to KUSHIDA.  Brutus tags in and he takes KUSHIDA down with a fireman’s carry.  Brutus with a double underhook and then he does a few dips before hitting the butterfly suplex.  Strong with a gutbuster and then Julius and Brutus with knees to KUSHIDA.  Julius with a gutwrench suplex.  Strong tags in and hits an elbow drop to the back.  Strong with a rear chin lock.  KUSHIDA iwth punches and Strong with a drop kick to the knee.  

Brutus tags in and he works on the leg with a knee drop.  Julius tags in and he slams KUSHIDA.  Julius with a head lock but KUSHIDA escapes and avoids Julous against the ropes.  Jiro tags in and connects with jacket palm strikes.  Jiro with a rolling palm strike.  Jiro floats over on an Irish whip and then he trips Juilus and Jiro with a kick.  Jiro misses a drop kick.  Julius with a slam and he kicks Jiro in the ribs.  Brutus tags in and he connects with forearms.  Brutus misses a knee drop.  Strong tags in and he keeps Jiro from making the tag but Jiro kicks Strong away and Jones tags in.

Jones with shoulder tackles and a back drop.  Jones sends Brutus into Julius.  Strong with kicks to Jones and he hits the Olympic Slam for a near fall.  KUSHIDA and Jiro knock Julius and Brutus off the apron.  Jones with a cross body for the three count.

Winners:  Odyssey Jones, Ikemen Jiro, and KUSHIDA

— Zack Gibson and James Drake are Facetiming with Gibson’s Nana and they have the tag title belts to make her think they are the champions.  He says that will ensure them the lion’s share of the inheritance.  Gibson says they need to get the belts back to Toxic Attraction.

We go to commercial.

— We are back and MSK are finally ready to travel to see the Shaman but they have to go through TSA, but they are able to get through with no problems.  Wes tells Nash he switched flights and got so many perks.  Nash is on the plane and he shows up at the airport and sees Wes.  Wes says he sat next to someone who knows the Shaman and he said the Shaman is a master of tag teaming.

Xyon Quinn vs. Andre Chase

Quinn with a wrist lock and he takes Chase to the mat.  Chase with a reversal and he floats over on Quinn.  Quinn blocks a kick and Quinn with an atomic drop and clothesline.  Quinn with a shoulder tackle.  Quinn misses a shoulder and hits the turnbuckles when Chase moves.  Chase with a swinging neck breaker for a near fall.  Chase with punches.  Chase with kicks to Quinn.  Chase with a reverse chin lock.  Quinn gets Chase on his shoulders but Chase with a rake of the eyes.  Quinn gets Chase up and hits a Death Valley Driver.  Quinn with a Jackhammer for the three count.

Winner:  Xyon Quinn

After the match, Joaquin Wilde and Raul Mendoza attack Quinn and they pull Quinn to the floor.  Quinn fights them off on the floor.   Santos Escobar hits Quinn from behind. Elektra Lopez shows up and she tells Quinn that no one says no to her. They drop Quinn on a metal ramp. Lopez looks at Quinn for a while before leaving.

Back to commercial.

— We are back and McKenzie Mitchell is with Raquel Gonzalez and she asks about the match with Dakota Kai. Raquel says she hasn’t had a good night’s sleep since Halloween Havoc.  One shot to the back and Dakota took everything from me.  Now I have to see Mandy with the title.  I will deal with that later.  Tonight is about revenge and you better bring that shovel because I will bury you with it.

— Alicia Taylor is in the ring for the Underworld Series of Poker with Duke Hudson and Cameron Grimes.

Duke says luck is for losers, not him.  Duke says this is his ring, his ring, and his cards.  He will make Cameron his bitch tonight. Grimes says those are some big words.  You are nervous.  You are sweating like Shaq at the free throw line.

On the first hand, Grimes goes all in with a King high while Duke has three fives. Duke thinks that Grimes hit the flush on the river.  Duke folds his hand.

Duke wants to know what Grimes had but Grimes won’t show his hand.  Duke turns over the cards to see that Grimes was bluffing. Hudson kicks Grimes as Grimes gets his chips.  Hudson with punches and a power bomb onto the poker table. Hudson goes under the ring and he gets the tool box and finds a hammer.  Duke gets some scissors and he cuts Grimes’ beard.

— Kyle O’Reilly says hello to Von Wagner and mentions his appearance on Raw.  Kyle says he has no problem with that.  Kyle says it is time to fight since it is Tuesday night.  Von says he is ready to take care of business.

We go to commercial.

Kyle O’Reilly and Von Wagner vs. Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen

Jensen and Kyle start things off and he sends Kyle to the mat.  Kyle with a shoudler tackle and he does not move Jensen.  Kyle with kicks to Jensen.  Jensen with a slam but he misses an elbow drop.  Kyle with a side head lock adn Briggs tags in and they hit a double shoulder tackle.  

We see Imperium watching in the back.

Briggs locks up O’Reilly but Wagner tags in. Wagner and Briggs face off and then lock up. Wagner and Briggs collide with shoulders. Wagner yells at him to bring it. They shove each other and unload with right hands. Wagner runs the ropes and nails a big flying shoulder block. Wagner kicks Briggs in the corner and tags in O’Reilly for some double teaming with kicks and headbutts in the corner. Kyle goes to work on Briggs’ arm now. Briggs ends up dropping Kyle in the corner and leveling him with a big boot.

Jensen tags in and unloads on Kyle while he’s down. Jensen gets slapped by O’Reilly. Jensen with a big chop, clotheslines and more strikes to keep him in the corner. Jensen drops Kyle out of the corner, then drops an elbow for a 2 count. Fans chant for O’Reilly now but Jensen catches him in a bear hug in the middle of the ring. Briggs tags in and takes over with the bear hug to O’Reilly in the middle of the ring. Briggs rams O’Reilly back into the turnbuckles. Jensen tags right back in for another bear hug.

 

Kyle gets free with a bell clap. Wagner tags in and unloads on Jensen. Wagner with a big clothesline and a gutwrench powerslam. Wagner grabs Jensen for a Flapjack in the middle of the ring. Kyle dumps Briggs over the top rope to the floor, then nails a running knee form the apron to the floor. Wagner catches Jensen for a big slam in the middle of the ring for the pin to win.

Winners: Von Wagner and Kyle O’Reilly

After the match, Wagner and O’Reilly stand tall in the ring as the music hits. We see Imperium watching backstage again. Imperium says Wagner and O’Reilly are getting better but still not on their level, because no one is on their level. They joke that Wagner and O’Reilly have a better chance at getting security jobs than they do at taking the titles. Imperium says no one will beat them for the titles. Wagner and O’Reilly continue their in-ring celebration.

– Indi Hartwell and Persia Pirotta are standing outside of the trainer’s room as Dexter Lumis is tended to. They have a match coming up but Indi wants to go be with her husband at the hospital. Persia tells her to go be with her man because she’s got this. Indi enters the trainer’s room to be with Lumis as a confident Persia looks ahead. Back to commercial.

— We are back with Lashing Out.  She talks about Kay Lee Ray interrupting Toxic Attraction’s celebration.  She tells Kay Lee that it is three of them and one of her.  

Grayson Waller interrupts and joins Lash.Grayson is here to spill some tea.  He mentions LA Knight’s comments about him.  He talks about everything the veterans had to do to get into WWE but all he had to do was be on a reality show and make a video that got him the job.  The dream like DIY is dead.  It is about likes on social media.  Don’t be mad at me because the game has changed.

Persia Pirotta vs. Gabby Stephens and Jenna Levvy

Persia sends her opponent to the mat and she sees Robert Stone behind her.  Levvy and Stephens attacks Persia from behind.  Persia with snake eyes.  Persia with a clothesline and a splash into the corner.  Persia with an Irish whip and splash.  Persia with a forearm and she hits a double Samoan drop.  Persia with a facebuster for the three count.

Winner:  Persia Pirotta

— Dakota Kai is with McKenzie and McKenzie mentions Raquel’s comments.  Dakota asks if they are best friends.  Will she hit McKenzie with a shovel?  Since their match at Takeover, she has been lost.  She does not know where she is.  The only way is to purge the past.  It starts with ending Raquel.

Mandy Rose shows up with Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne.  She says it started at Halloween Havoc and ends tonight. Dakota says if she beats Raquel tonight, she owes her twice.

James Drake and Zack Gibson see them and they give Jacy and Gigi the belts back.  

— Tommaso Ciampa says a new champion was crowned when NXT 2.0 debuted.  He is the greatest champion of all time.  He has defended the title in the US and overseas.  He says there is a lack of integrity and respect.  He says he will address them in the ring.

We go to commercial.

— We are back with Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter at a music festival and they talk about what they want to bring to NXT.  

Tommaso Ciampa comss out and he says he wants to vent.  He mentions people like Melo who comes out week after week to try to convince himself that he is holding on to the ‘A’ Title.  Let’s be real.  Melo ain’t gonna take a shot in the champ’s direction.  if he does, he is not just going to miss, he is going to shoot an airball.  Then there is Grayson Waller talking about how his generation worked the indies for a hot dgo and handshake.  

Before he can talk about Tony D’Angelo, Bron Breakker makes his way to the ring.

Bron says Ciampa can’t stand that there is a new crop of talent.  It doesn’t mean anything to me.  I am the only one you should be worried about.  I will run through you and take the NXT Championship.

Ciampa says that was powerful.  Ciampa says some place there is a guy in a truck who could pull up some footage and show the end of Halloween Havoc.  You need a reminder of what happened.

Ciampa says that was one, two, three.  He says he is no math major and Breakker doesn’t sound like one either.  You have a 33 1/3 percent chance of beating me.  You can bark up the tree all you want, but you are just a puppy.  I am the NXT Champion.

Ciampa leaves the ring and goes to the back.

— Raquel Gonzales makes her way to the ring for tonight’s main event as we go to commercial.

Raquel Gonzalez vs. Dakota Kai

Gonzalez with a clothesline as the bell rings and then she kicks Kai in the corner.  Gonzalez with a hard Irish whip.  Gonzalez sends Kai into the ringside barrier.  Kai goes to the floor.  Gonzalez goes to the floor and Gonzalez lifts Kai up and sends her to the floor.  Gonzalez sends Kai into the apron and then she drops Kai on the apron.  Gonzalez with an elbow.  Gonzalez sends Kai into the turnbuckles.  Kai blocks a suplex and Gonzalez with forearms to the back.  Kai with kicks to Gonzalez.  Gonzalez sends Kai into the turnbuckles.  Gonzalez with a back breaker and she runs Kai into the turnbuckles.  Gonzalez with a European uppercut.  Gonzalez hits the ring post shoulder first when Kai moves.

Kai with a boot on the floor.  Kai breaks the referee’s count and then returns to the floor.  She connects with punches and then slams the arm into the apron.  Kai gets a near fall.  Kai with a double knee arm breaker and she wraps the arm in the ropes.  Kai with an arm bar.  Gonzalez gets a near fall.  They exchange forearms.  Kai with a bicycle kick for a near fall.  Kai with a top wrist lock.  Gonzalez runs Kai into the turnbuckles to get out of the hold.  Gonzalez misses Kai and hits the ropes.  Kai with a running boot to the head for a near fall.  

They fight to the turnbuckles and Gonzalez with head butts.  Kai drops Gonzalez on the top turnbuckle while Kai goes to the floor.  Kai with a boot to the head.  Kai with a boot to Gonzalez against the turnbuckles.  Gonzalez grabs Kai by the throat and she hits a vertical choke slam.  Gonzalez with a clothesline and forearm to the back.  Gonzalez grabs Kai by the lag and the turnbuckle pad comes off.  Gonzalez with a fallaway slam.  Gonzalez with a twisting Vader Bomb for a near fall.  Gonzalez sets for the Chingana Bomb but Kai escapes.  Gonzalez misses an elbow drop and Kai gets a near fall.  Kai with another near fall.  Gonzalez blocks a scorpion kick and Kai sends Gonzalez away with a kick.

Kai blocks a suplex and Kai sends Gonzalez into the exposed turnbuckle.  Kai goes under the ring for the shovel and Gonzalez kicks Kai in the midsection and Gonzalez takes the shovel.  Gonzalez thinks about hitting Kai with the shovel and Kai backs into the corner.  Mandy Rose, Gigi Dollin, and Jacy Jayne attack Gonzalez from behind.

Winner:  Raquel Gonzalez (by disqualification)

After the bell, Toxic Attraction triple team Gonzalez before Kai joins in. Cora Jade runs out with her skateboard to make the save for Gonzalez. Jade threw her skateboard at Kai at one point. Rose ends up dropping Jade with a clothesline. Jade is triple teamed now as Kai applies a submission to Gonzalez and Rose stomps on her.

The music hits and out comes the injured Zoey Stark, wearing a leg brace and using crutches. She stops on the entrance-way but the music hits and out comes Io Shirai next. Shirai hits the ring with one of Stark’s crutches and unloads. Fans go wild for Shirai. Kai hits Shirai with Jade’s skateboard but the chaos keeps going. Jade and Shirai team up to fight off Kai and Toxic Attraction now, Shirai still using the crutch. Gonzalez gets back involved, dumping Kai to the apron. It sounds like a “boring!” chant may have started up amid the chaos. Gonzalez scoops Dolin and uses her to knock Kai off the apron to the floor. Jade, Gonzalez and Shirai stand tall in the ring as fans chant “NXT!” now. Toxic Attraction and Kai are down on the floor. Shirai takes the mic and yells out “War Games!” to apparently set up the women’s War Games match for next month. NXT goes off the air.
