NXT 2.0 results (11/23) – Grayson Waller is in the ring and he interrupts the Now… Then… Forever intro theme.  He says he is the future and then points out Tommaso Ciampa wasn’t in the open.  Ciampa is good but he isn’t one of the greats.  See how quickly you change.  You did the same to John Cena.  He left and went to Hollywood.  You booed the Rock out of town.  Don’t get him started on Roman Reigns.  He headlined Wrestlemania after Wrestlemania and you booed him.  He is Head of the Table.  You twitter people don’t matter.  Tommaso Ciampa interrupts heading to the ring.

 Tommaso Ciampa vs. Grayson Waller

Waller with a kick to the leg and then Waller avoids a punch and kick.  Waller holds his hands behind his back and he gets in a few shots on Ciampa.  Ciampa with punches and kicks.  Ciampa with a running knee in the corner and he sets for another one and connects.  They go to the floor and Ciampa chops Waller before he is sent back into the ring.  Ciampa with another chop and he punches Waller on the turnbuckles.  Waller drops Ciampa on the top turnbuckle and hits a neck breaker.  Waller with punches and then he connects with a European uppercut.  Waller with a jab and Ciampa with a back elbow.  Ciampa with a chop but Waller with a neck breaker.

Waller kicks Ciampa and punches him.  Waller chokes Ciampa in the ropes.  Waller with a rear chin lock while he has Ciampa in the ropes.  Waller with an elbow to the back of the head and a knee drop.  Waller with a punch.  Waller runs into a boot from Ciampa and Waller with a spinebuster.  Waller throws off his elbow pad and he goes for his version of the People’s Elbow but he misses.  Ciampa with a number of clotheslines and then he clotheslines Waller over the top rope into the announce table.  Ciampa with a clothesline on the floor.  Ciampa tosses Waller over the announce table. and Ciampa pats himself on the back.

They return to the ring and Ciampa with a boot to the head.  Ciampa with a chop.  Ciampa with an elbow to the head and a boot to the neck.  Ciampa with jabs and sends Waller to the mat.  Ciampa with forearms to the chest and the referee warns him.  Ciampa runs into a jumping leg lariat.  Waller pats himself on the back.  Waller with punches and kicks and then he connects with a forearm to the back.  Waller with a punch to the midsection.  Waller with an Irish whip and clothesline in the corner.  Waller wtih boots to the head and Ciampa with a chop.  Waller chops back.  Waller with a forearm.  Waller with an elbow to the back of the neck.  Waller stands on Ciampa’s neck.

Waller with a chop in the corner.  Ciampa with an Irish whip and both men bump heads.  Waller goes to the turnbuckles and he comes off and is met with a knee from Ciampa.  Ciampa with a chop and Waller chops back.  They go back and forth.  Ciampa runs into a back elbow and Waller with a leap frog but Ciampa with a DDT.  Ciampa sets for Fairy Tale Ending but Waller with a jackknife cover for a near fall.  Waller gets a near fall with a rollup.  Waller with another rollup but Ciampa rolls through and connects with a knee.  Waller gets Ciampa up on his shoulders and hits a sit out power bomb for a near fall.  Waller goes to the turnbuckles and Ciampa with a punch.

Ciampa goes to the turnbuckles and he sets for a superplex but Waller blocks it.  Waller punches Ciampa and sends him to the mat.  Ciampa stops Waller with a chop and hits a super Air Raid Crash for a near fall.  Ciampa lifts Waller up and chops him a few times.  Waller misses a punch and Ciampa with a back slide and then Ciampa goes for Fairy Tale Ending.  Waller with a cravate and knees.  Waller gets Ciampa on his shoulders and hits a reverse Finlay Roll.  Waller with a springboard elbow drop for a near fall.  

They go to the floor and Waller sends Ciampa back in.  Ciampa counters the leaping rolling cutter with Willows’ Bell and then he hits Fairy Tale Ending for the three count.

Winner:  Tommaso Ciampa

— We go to the back where LA Knight is watching the monitor and McKenzie asks him for his thoughts on the match.  Knight says he didn’t have to go out there to help Waller lose.  LA says that everyone knows that Waller sucks.

Joe Gacy shows up and he says that his facts are harmful because we need to work together. Knight says that he would love to beat up Gacy. Gacy says that the safe space is open out there. Knight says he will kick Gacy’s ass.

— We take a look back at last week’s Poker Spectacular.

We go to commercial.

— We are back with footage from earlier with Toxic Attraction.  Dakota Kai is sitting as they walk past and she walks with them.  Mandy says that she won’t need Jacy or Gigi with her. They walk past some broken things and we see them walk past.  Kay Lee Ray shows up with a baseball bat.

— Cameron Grimes makes his way to the ring.

Grimes says he grew up in a very small town in North Carolina.  Every day I would have people who pushed me down and told me I wasn’t good enough.  I showed them that I was good enough.  I showed them that if I scratched and crawled, it didn’t matter how many nights I slept on the floor I showed that I hold it down.  I made it in this industry and I made it rich.  I kept this hair and beard to remind me of my humble beginnings.  To remind me of those times when I had nothing.  

Duke Hudson, you took all of that away from me.  You humiliated me.  You embarrassed me.  Where you messed up is that you made me angry.  Duke Hudson, I want you to come to this ring because I am done talking. 

Duke Hudson is at his barber’s and he shows off the job they did.  Hudson asks Grimes what is he hot about.  You took a lot of money from me and you got a free haircut in the process.  I am trying to transform you from a troll who lives under a bridge into a decent human being. Grimes says Hudson should come to the ring so they can resolve this like human beings. Hudson says that is not happening. Grimes says he showed Duke a chance to show how big his balls are and you showed that you are gutless and nutless.  You want to talk about big stakes, let’s go all in.  Grimes suggests a hair versus hair match. Duke says he wouldn’t mind taking a little more off the top and he says that Grimes is on.  At War Games, I’m going to take the rest (as he shows his souvenir from last week’s haircut)

— Pete Dunne says he has waited too long to win a championship.  Johnny, you have stepped in my way too many times before.  I am going to send you packing.  It is time you pay your dues Carmelo and I will become North American Champion.

— McKenzie asks for an update on Dexter’s condition and Indi says that he has a broken hand and he will be out for a month.  Johnny will take the North American Title from Carmelo.  Persia asks Indi if she is okay and she can do it herself.

We go to commercial.

— We are back with a video package for Tiffany Stratton.  She talks about how her father has been paying for her tennis lessons and she has the best serve at the country club.  She says it is time for her to take over NXT.

Persia Pirotta and Indi Hartwell vs. Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter

The bell rings and Persia starts off with Kayden. Persia levels her with a big shove. Persia goes to tag but Indi is distracted on the apron. Indi comes in as does Kacy. Indi fights off both opponents after some back & forth now. Kayden drops Indie and poses over her in the middle of the ring. Indie works on Kayden but runs into boots.

Kacy and Kayden double team Indi now for a 2 count as Persia makes the save. Persia and Kacy have words before Persia leaves the ring. Indi blocks a whip from Kacy and sends her to the corner for a kick to the gut. Persia tags in and goes to work on Kacy. Persia scoops Kacy and lawn darts her into the top turnbuckle. Indi tags back in and goes to work on Kacy for another 2 count. Persia tags in and rams Kacy into the turnbuckles. Persia charges but Kacy moves and Persia crashes into the corner.

Indi and Kayden tag in. Indi misses a big boot but hits a big side-slam. Indi gets distracted by looking at her ring. We get a close 2 count before Kayden takes Indi to the corner but Indi climbs up, not seeing Kacy tag in. They hit a big double team on Indi from the corner and cover for the pin to win.

Winners:  Kayden Carter and Kacy Catanzaro

— We have a video package for Santos Escobar.

— We are back and Andre Chase is taking his students on a tour of the Performance Center. He sees Cameron Grimes and tells everyone this is a teachable moment about not making rash decisions. Grimes tells Chase to go to hell.

Santos Escobar vs. Malik Blade

They lock up and Escobar backs Blade into the turnbuckles. Escobar with a waist lock and he has some words for Blade. They lock up and Blade with a cartwheel and he avoids Escobar and hits a drop kick. Escobar with a forearm and kicks. Escobar chokes Blade and kicks him. Escobar goes for a suplex but Blade lands on his feet and he gets a near fall with a sunset flip. Escobar with knees to Blade and he hits an exploder into the turnbuckles. Escobar with a knee and Phantom Driver for the three count.

Winner: Santos Escobar

Elektra Lopez says that you don’t say no to Legado. Xyon Quinn was offered the opportunity of a lifetime and he said no. Look what happened to him. Now that Escobar is back, they are stronger than ever.

Von Wagner and Kyle O’Reilly come out and Kyle says that they want the tag titles. Mendoza says that they already beat them. Von says you can look at what happened but if you look at the tape, dumbass, my foot was under the ropes.

Imperium comes out and they are on the HHH Balcony.

Barthel says that these people are much more ignorant and they are much less intelligent. They don’t understand anything that Fabian is saying. You should be ashamed of yourselves, fighting like little children. Kyle, you are there with your big friend Lurch. Do you think you should be challenging us? Do you Legado clowns think you can go toe to toe with Imperium? Barthel says the truth is that neither of you will be able to stop the standard bearers of this division. Aichner says the Era of Imperium will continue. It does not matter who challenges them first. We will face the winners of your match at War Games.

— Zoey Stark and Io Shirai want to talk to Cora Jade and Raquel Gonzalez shows up and they argue.  Cora says the ‘can we co-exist’ thing is tired.  We do not have a fourth member for the team so you find the fourth while she kicks some Toxic Attraction ass.

We go to commercial.

— We are back with Tony D’Angelo and he is going to talk about the North American Championship match.  Tony says people are betting on Gargano and Dunne.  D’Angelo says his money is on Hayes.  He asks McKenzie if she wants to make a bet.  He says that Petey has no chance.  He tells McKenzie to call his guy and place her bet.

Mandy Rose vs. Cora Jade in a Non Title Match

They lock up and Mandy sends Cora to the mat.  Jade with forearms but Rose with a knee and she tries for a hip toss but Jade blocks it and gets a near fall with a rollup.  Jade with an enzuigiri.  Jade with a knee in the corner but Mandy with a spinebuster for a near fall.  Mandy with forearms in the corner.  Mandy with a suplex and she gets a near fall.  Mandy with a chin bar.  Mandy with a body scissors and she adds a rear chin lock.  Cora with a rollup for a near fall.  Jade with a clothesline and back elbow followed by a head scissors take down.  Cora with a running knee into the corner followed by a snap mare for a near fall.  Jade goes to the turnbuckles and misses a leg drop when Mandy moves.

Mandy sees Kay Lee Ray walk to the ring with a baseball bat and Mandy gets distracted.  Mandy with a knee and Ray takes a swing at the ring post and ringside table.  Kay Lee tosses the bat to the referee and Jade with a rollup for the three count.

Winner:  Cora Jade

— Trick Willaims says the disrespect stops tonight.  Carmelo says it should have stopped last week.  He says he is the A Champion and leader of the new school.  Gargano says he has been here for five years and that is supposed to be a good thing?  I have been here five months.  Pete says he has the experience but you will fall.  You chase Melo because I don’t chase you.  Tonight, I won’t miss.

Joe Gacy says no fear because a connection needs two people.  I am the provider and I will bring a new sense of belonging.  Let me open the eyes of the blind.  

We go to commercial.

— We are back and Cora is with her team and they ask if they knew that Kay Lee Ray was coming out.  Kay Lee Ray shows up and she says she is their fourth and she will be in the “Who Gets the Advantage Ladder Match”.

Joe Gacy vs. LA Knight

Grayson Waller attacks Knight from behind as Knight goes to the ring.  They exchange punches and referees come out to separate them.  Knight goes after Waller

Joe Gacy says he would like to apologize to the NXT Universe.  He wishes they could have handled LA Knight’s anger issues.  It is time to discuss how we can fix…

The Diamond Mine makes their way to the ring.

Malcolm Bivens says it does not seem that this match is happening and since you tried to take the spotlight from Diamond Mine last week, it is time for them to do it.  He says that Ivy Nile has a match so Joe can take his thesaurus and himself out of the ring. Joe says respect is not something he has for the Cruiserweight Champion Roderick Strong. His name is an an example of toxic masculinity.  The cruiserweight title is about exclusivity and weight shaming.  The Cruiserweight Division is meant to divide.

Strong tells Joe if anyone know him that he fears no one.  He does not care about Joe or about any damn weight limit.  His next money match is standing right here.  Strong tells Bivens to make this happen so he can embarrass this dork. Bivens says what the champ wants he gets.  He will make sure this contract is signed, sealed, and delivered.  At War Games, Strong will defeat Gacy. Joe says he is looking forward to resolving this as one.

Bivens tells Brutus and Julius to take care of Gacy but Harland shows up and stares The Diamond Mine down.

We go to commercial.

— We are back with the latest from MSK.  Les says this is so stressful.  Carter says he is ready to chill with the Shaman but Lee wants Carter to slow down.  We see police lights and they try to figure out what to do about their ‘contraband bag’.  The cop asks if they know the the speed limit.  They are told that Nash was driving 7 miles per hour.  They are told to get out of the car. The officer asks them to open the bag.   Another car speeds past and they are told that it is their lucky day.

Ivy Nile vs. Yulisa Leon

Leon avoids Nile when Nile goes for the legs.  Leon starts to dance but Nile with a take down and a waist lock take down.  Nile with push ups on Leon’s back.  Nile with a front face lock but Leon with a hammer lock.  Nile with a drop toe hold into an arm bar.  Nile with a springboard clothesline.  Nile with a running thrust kick and a front face lock and a back drop but Leon tries for a rollup.  Nile with a figure four head scissors.  Nile does crunches while she has Leon in the head scissors.  Leon leans back and gets a near fall.

Nile holds on to the head scissors.  Leon with a cartwheel and she goes for an O’Connor Roll but Nile counters with a Dragon Sleeper and Leon taps out.

Winner:  Ivy Nile

— We take a look at Solo Sikoa.  He says NXT reminds him of the streets he comes from.  He was walking with those down from Day One but now he is on his own.  He is here to fight anyone.  It does not matter who it is. 

— The Grizzled Young Veterans walk in the back and they bump into someone on their way to the ring.  That person is then knocked down because LA Knight and Grayson Waller are still fighting.

We go to commercial.

— Wa are back and Boa says he does not know how to control it.  He says Mei Ying has passed on her spirit to him.  He says once it is controlled, you will fear Boa.

James Drake and Zack Gibson vs. Brooks Jensen and Josh Briggs

Jensen and Drake start things off and Drake tries to send Jensen into the turnbuckles but he blocks it and then Jensen with a clothesline and bulldog.  Briggs tags in and they hit a double shoulder tackle.  Jensen tags in and Drake is sent into the ropes and they both go to the floor and punch Drake.  Jensen with a punch and then he follows with jabs and another punch to the head.  Gibson stops Jensen from charging into the corner and Drake tries for a cheap shot but Jensen chases Drake around the ring.  Gibson tags in.

Gibson with a Harley Race knee to the back and it sends Jensen into the ropes.  Gibson with a cravate and a short arm clothesline.  Gibson with a rerverse chin lock in the ring and in the back, Knight and Waller are still fightning.  Gibson sends Jensen into the corner but Jensen with a forearm.  Gibson with a side head lock and Jensen with a belly-to-back suplex.  Drake tags in and he applies a front face lock.  Jensen with a back drop and Briggs tags in and he punches Drake and clotheslines him followed by a boot.  Briggs knocks Gibson off the apron and htis a back breaker on Drake and an elbow drop.  Briggs with an elbow in the corner and he goes for a back breaker but Drake lands on his feet and his knee gives out.

Gibson gets on the turnbuckles and Briggs knocks him off the turnbuckles.  Drake’s ruse is found out and Briggs with a back breaker and then Jensen tags in and they hit the high low for the three count.

Winners:  Brooks Jensen and Josh Briggs

— They run through the card for War Games. Next week, Dakota Kai will face Kay Lee Ray in the Who Gets the Advantage Ladder Match for War Games.

Johnny Gargano vs. Carmelo Hayes vs. Pete Dunne for the North American Championship

Hayes goes after Gargano and Dunne is sent to the floor by Hayes.  Gargano with chops to Hayes.  Gargano with a head scissors and drop kick.  Hayes with a rollup and round kick.  Hayes kicks Dunne and applies a side ehad lock.  Hayes flips over Dunne but Dunne with a clothesline and Gargano with a rolup.  Gargano goes for GargaNo Escape but Dunne counters with a rollup for a near fall.  Hayes attacks Gargano from behind and then Hayes with a clothesline to Dunne.  Hayes kicks Gargano and Dunne.  Hayes with a forearm to Dunne and kicks to Gargano.  Dunne with a single leg take down and he works on the ankle.  Dunne goes for a double single leg crab and he locks it in.

Williams pulls Hayes out of the ring and Gargano kicks Dunne to escape the hold.  Gargano works on the arm.  Hayes with a springboard clothesline to both men and he gets a near fall on Dunne and then on Gargano.  Hayes with a forearm to the back of Gargano and Dunne with a forearm.  Hayes with a kick and punch to Dunne.  Hayes goes for a suplex but Gargano escapes and he chops Hayes and hits a bulldog on Hayes and a clothesline to Dunne.  Gargano with a tornado DDT to Dunne and he takes Hayes down.

Gargano with a suicide dive that sends Dunne into the announce table.  Gargano with a suicide dive to Hayes.  Gargano with a running head scissors take down to Dunne on the floor.  Gargano goes to send Hayes back into the ring and Gargano has something to say to Williams.  Gargano with a punch from the apron but Hayes blocks the slingshot spear and he kicks Gargano in the back while Gargano hangs in the ropes and Hayes with a springboard leg drop for a near fall.  Hayes kicks Dunne and chops him.

Dunne with a kick and hard Irish whip.  Dunne stomps on the ankle.  Dunne with a Muta Lock set up on Gargano and then he hits a face lock suplex on Hayes and adds pressure to the legs.  Dunne stomps on Gargano’s ankle and then he hits Hayes with a forearm.  Dunne with a waist lock on Gargano but Gargano with elbows.  Hayes with a shoulder to Gargano and he hits a slingshot sunset flip that sends Dunne and Gargano to the mat.  Hayes with a forearm to Gargano and Dunne.  Hayes with a chop to Gargano and a forearm to Dunne.  Dunne and Gargano with forearms to Hayes and then Dunne and Gargano go for clothslines at the same time.  Gargano misses an enzuigiri and Dunne with a kick to Gargano and a drop kick to Hayes.  Dunne with a triangle but Hayes picks up Dunne and Gargano with a drop kick.  Gargano with a slingshot spear to Heyes.

Dunne stomps on the hands and goes for the Bitter End but Gargano with a tornado DDT and he gets a near fall.  Gargano with a forearm to Dunne.  Hayes with a forearm to Dunne.  Gargano with a rollup and then Dunne and Gargano kick Heyes.  Hayes with a leaping Codebreaker to Dunne and then he htis a TKO on Dunne on top of Gargano and Hayes gets a near fall on Dunne.  Hayes misses a splash into the corner and Dunne with a knee drop to the arm and he stomps on Gargano’s hand.  Gargano with a poisonrana.  Gargano clotheslines Hayes.  Gargano sets for the lawn dart and hits it on Hayes.  Gargano goes to the apron and he kicks Williams.  Dunne sends Hayes to the apron.

Dunne stops a slingshot move and Dunne with Bitter End but Tony D’Angelo breaks up the cover and sends Dunne into the ring steps.  Hayes with a leg drop off the turnbuckles for the three count.

Winner:  Carmelo Hayes

After the match, Hayes stands tall and takes his title as the music hits. Tony D’Angelo goes out and greets Trick at ringside. LA Knight and Grayson Waller come out brawling still, bumping into D’Angelo and Trick. D’Angelo attacks Knight but Dunne comes out and attacks D’Angelo. A big brawl with everyone breaks out in the ring now. Trick puts Gargano’s arm into a steel chair as Hayes goes to leap off the top rope to injure him, but the music interrupts and out comes NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa to make the save. Trick rushes Ciampa but gets hit with a steel chair at ringside. Ciampa decks D’Angelo with a steel chair, then Dunne stomps Tony’s arm. Ciampa with another chair shot to D’Angelo. Knight also helps clear the ring. Dunne, Ciampa and Knight stand tall while Gargano is down in the middle of the ring with them, trying to recover. Hayes, Trick, Waller and D’Angelo look on from ringside as fans chant “WarGames!” now. Hayes raises his title in the air. The sirens go off and out comes Bron Breakker. Fans bark for him. Bron stands with Hayes, Waller and D’Angelo, then yells out “WarGames!” into the mic. Bron, Hayes, D’Angelo and Waller rush the ring and start brawling with Ciampa, Knight, Gargano and Dunne. The sirens go off as the brawl continues and NXT goes off the air.
