Becky Lynch Retains, Liv Morgan As Next Challenger?

Becky Lynch Retains, Liv Morgan As Next Challenger? – Becky Lynch kicked off RAW this week in a Title Match against her recent rival – Bianca Belair. Lynch and Belair have been adversaries since August when Lynch returned at SummerSlam and ended the reign of The EST as SmackDown Women’s Champion.

As with every one-on-one encounter Lynch has had with Belair since making her return, the ending of the match resulted in controversy. After another hard-fought battle between both women as expected, Belair was going for the KOD when Lynch removed the top cover to the turnbuckle. The champ drove Belair into the exposed turnbuckle which led to a roll-up for the win. Lynch also grabbed ahold of Belair’s tights for the pin, adding to the controversial victory.

Later in the night, Lynch was being interviewed backstage by Sarah Schreiber and after congratulating her on the win, Schreiber brought up the tactics Lynch used to retain her championship. Lynch cut her question off and said she only used what was available to her.

She went on to call the fans fickle because half of them were booing her tonight and she feels once she has made it to the top they can’t handle it or relate to her. Adding to this, Lynch says that Bianca is way over her head and that she is going to have to get to the back of the line.

Lynch says it is time for someone new to step up. Enter Liv Morgan. Morgan walks into frame and the two share a stare before the RAW Women’s Champion made her exit.

Schreiber later interviewed Lynch on the RAW Talk post-show, as seen below. Lynch was asked about her reaction to Morgan stepping up to her during RAW.

“Liv… you know, she’s a kid with a whole bunch of potential, but this ‘Watch me, watch me’… I’ve been watching, we’ve all been watching, and we’re waiting. We’re waiting, we’re just waiting,” Lynch said.

Morgan has not commented on what happened with Lynch but she did tweet her signature line before RAW, “Watch Me.”

Stay tuned for more on Morgan vs. Lynch, as it looks like Liv Morgan is finally getting her well deserved Title opportunity.
