WWE SmackDown Results (10/29) Wilkes-Barre, PA – We are live from the Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza in Wilkes-Barre, PA, as SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair makes her way to the ring.

Charlotte the more things change, the more they stay the same.  She says she is a six time Smackdown Champion but she doesn’t keep count.  You do because you can’t do what I do.  I am not just the face of this division, but of this company.  No one is going to change that.  Charlotte says when someone wins the title they say it is the best day of their live.  Charlotte says when she wins the title, it is just another Friday.

Flair says after last week’s drama, order has finally been restored to SmackDown and that’s exactly what these women need. They need a mentor, someone to lead and guide them, someone to bring out the best in them, and that’s Flair. The music interrupts and out comes Sasha Banks to a pop. Banks poses on the apron as the pyro goes off.

Banks laughs at the idea of Flair being a leader and says no one is buying that. She says Flair only cares about holding the other women down, not helping them. Banks says Flair knows what she wants, so when is her title shot? Flair hushes her and says this is the new era of SmackDown. Fans boo. Flair says it’s a little selfish of Banks to think she deserves a title shot because Flair has given her chance after chance but always beats her. Flair talked to Sonya Deville earlier and decided a new face deserves an opportunity. Banks wonders if Flair is scared. The music hits and out comes Shotzi in her TCB (Taking Care of Business) Tank.

Shotzi stops at ringside and says if Flair is looking for someone she’s never faced before, then she’s the girl. Fans cheer Shotzi on and chant her name now. Flair says Shotzi did come to the ring in a tank, so she must be ready for battle. Flair says Shotzi is going to get her match, right now. Shotzi launches her missile into the ring as Flair stares her down and Banks looks on. Cole confirms that this will be a Championship Contender’s match. We go to commercial.

Championship Contender’s Match: SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair vs. Shotzi

Back from the break and Sasha Banks watches from ringside as SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair goes at it with Shotzi in this non-title Championship Contender’s Match. Flair slams Shotzi and controls her. They go back and forth but Shotzi shows Flair up and howls to taunt her. They trade holds on their feet now as fans chant for Shotzi, who is looking to secure a title shot with a win here.

Flair shows off some more and dropkicks Shotzi to the face while she’s down. Flair with a “Wooo!” before slamming Shotzi face-first into the turnbuckle. Shotzi mounts some offense with a jawbreaker, a second rope attack and a basement dropkick for 2. Shotzi shows some frustration as Banks barks encouragement from ringside.

Shotzi unloads in the corner now. Flair runs into an elbow in the corner. Shotzi goes to the second rope but Flair takes her leg out and Shotzi lands hard on the back of her head. Flair covers for 2. Flair keeps control but Shotzi rolls her up out of nowhere for a 2 count. Flair comes right back with a clothesline. Flair grounds Shotzi now.

Flair gets sent to the corner and then the apron but she nails a boot to the face. Shotzi with an enziguri and a running senton while Flair is leaning against the ropes. Shotzi goes to the top but Flair rolls to the floor for a breather. Fans boo. Shotzi runs the ropes for a suicide dive but Flair meets her at the ropes with a forearm to the face. Banks comes over and Flair mocks her in her face. Flair turns around to Shotzi going for a suicide dive again but she botches it and barely connects, getting hung up on the ropes and falling out as they both tumble to the floor with an awkward fall in an attempt to salvage it. Shotzi still sits up and howls as we go back to commercial.

Back from the break and Shotzi is down at ringside as Banks cheers her on. Flair goes to the top for her moonsault but Shotzi runs back in the ring and rocks Flair. Shotzi runs back up to the top and hits a big hurricanrana for a close 2 count. Shotzi dodges a big boot and nails a big right hand. Shotzi goes on but Flair kicks out at 2. Shotzi ends up on the apron but Flair levels her to the floor with a big boot.

Banks barks orders as Shotzi drops Flair at ringside, telling her to bring it back in. Flair kicks out at 2. Flair rolls Shotzi back for a 2 count. Shotzi misses the enziguri and Flair rolls her for the Figure Four but it’s blocked for a 2 count. Fair gets hung up on the top rope when going for a big boot. Shotzi slams her with a belly-to-back suplex for a 2 count. Shotzi charges into the corner but Flair catches her with the backbreaker.

Flair goes to the top for the moonsault but has to land on her feet as Shotzi moves it. Flair continues and nails the follow-up moonsault for 2. Flair drops Shotzi with a right hand and then nails Natural Selection for the pin to win.

Winner: Charlotte Flair

After the match, Flair heads out with her title as a disappointed Banks looks on. Banks enters the ring and checks on Shotzi but Shotzi shoves her to the mat and screams at her, blaming her for the loss. Flair tries to come from behind from the floor but Banks catches her and Flair retreats. Banks turns back around to Shotzi attacking her. Shotzi mounts Banks and beats her up on the mat. Shotzi throws Banks from corner to corner, stomping away and screaming at her. Shotzi runs and dropkicks Banks from the apron to the floor. Shotzi slams Banks head-first into her tank, then launches her into the barrier. Shotzi sends Banks into the front of the tank again as the boos continue. Shotzi brings Banks back into the ring and goes to the top for the Ball Pit senton. Shotzi talks some more trash as the boos continue. Shotzi stands over Banks, howls out, then welcomes her to the Ball Pit.

Backstage:

Kayla Braxton is backstage with Jeff Hardy. She asks what he’s most looking forward to now that he’s back on SmackDown. Hardy is pumped to be here and is looking for a fresh start, make some new friends, maybe challenge for a title he’s never had before. Happy Baron Corbin and Madcap Moss interrupt. They talk about tonight’s Trick or Street Fight and Moss tells a bad Halloween joke. They walk off. Hardy tells Kayla it’s good to be back on SmackDown. He shakes his head as Moss and Corbin leave.

– Still to come, details on sanctions being announced against Brock Lesnar for what he did last week. Back to commercial.

— We are back and we are told what else has been done to Brock for his attack last week.

Backstage:

Adam Pearce is at his home and he says that Brock’s actions last week were reprehensible and an act of cowardice.  Adam says he gives every piece to this company and he will not be disrespected.  That cannot and will not happen again.  Adam says that he told Brock that due to his actions, in addition to his suspension, he has been fined one million dollars.

Backstage:

Paul Heyman is in the back looking at a monitor and Kayla Braxton shows up. Kayla asks Paul how will Brock respond to the suspension and fine. Paul says Kayla’s timing is impeccable.  Paul says Roman would show up suspension or not and destroy everyone.  Roman does not have to do that because Roman smashed Brock at Crown Jewel. Kayla asks Paul again how would Brock respond.   Kayla says that since Paul was Brock’s advocate. Brock would show up at the office and rip everyone’s throat out, starting with Adam Pearce.  How dare Adam Pearce speak about Brock Lesnar as if he was not here.  Paul continues to raise his voice hyping Lesnar, but then he realzies that he is with Roman.  Paul says that is what he thinks Brock would do.  He says he hasn’t spoken to Brock.

Drew McIntyre makes his way to the ring as we go to commercial.

We are back and Drew has a mic and he says this may come as a surprise to nobody but he is in an ass kicking mood.  Drew asks if there be an open challenge.  Drew tells someone in the locker room to have the testicular fortitude to come out and challenge him.

Mustafa Ali comes out and says that we get it.  You are big and bad, but I am better.  I have more athletic talent in my pinkie than your entire body.  I am quicker.  I am more agile.  When it comes to in ring talent, you don’t even compare.  I am going to be the one to beat you tonight.

Mustafa Ali vs. Drew McIntyre

Ali has some words for Drew and Drew grabs Ali and sends him into the corner.  Ali with chops to Drew and Drew chops Ali to the mat.  Ali with a boot to Drew and a drop kick to the back of the head.  Drew with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex.  Drew sends Ali into the turnbuckles and chops him.  Drew with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex and a neck breaker.  Ali moves and Drew goes shoulder first into the ring post.  Ali misses a 450 splash and rolls through.  Drew misses a Claymore.  Drew blocks a tornado DDT and Drew with a Future Shock into a Kimura and Ali taps out.

Winner:  Drew McIntyre

After the match, Mustafa Ali interrupts Cole talking about Xavier Woods.  He says he has to get something off his chest.  You choose to cheer for Drew McIntyre.  You choose to root against me.  The only reason you choose to root against me is because my name is Mustafa Ali.

— We take a look back at the cornotaion of Xavier Woods.

— Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods walk in the back.  Hit Row show up behind Kofi and Xavier. Woods welcomes them to his kingdom and to Smackdown.  Woods says they were impressive in the ring and it warms his cockles. Adonis asks if they should be respecting the king and they go Wayne and Garth.

Back to commercial.

We are back with a Xia Li video package and she is coming soon to Smackdown.

— Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods are in the ring. 

In The Arena:

Xavier asks for a moment.  He says last week he finally receive his cape and scepter as well as having Kofi put the crown on his head.  A king is only as strong as the company he keeps.  Woods says Kofi’s heart is true.  he is a pal and a confident.  He is Woods’ most trusted confidante.  He tells Kofi to bend a knee.  

Xavier bestows the honor upon Kofi to make him Sir Kofi Kingston and he’s given the Order of the Golden Unicorn.  

The Usos interrupt and make their way to the ring with a lot of whoas.  

They enter the ring and Jimmy asks what do they have here?  The King and the King’s hand?  Jey says a lot has changed since they left.  This is their show now and it should be called the Bloodline’s Show.  They are The Ones.  Jimmy asks if they are playing dress up.

Kofi says he gets it.  There is some jealousy.  Woods says the Usos have been wearing the same thing since 2018.    Woods says he cannot have the Bloodliine on this carpet since he got it cleaned.  Jimmy says he will kick that crown off. The Usos and Kofi yell and Woods tells them to shut up.  Woods has decreed that it will be the Usos versus New Day in a trial by combat. Jey wants to touch the scepter and Kofi slaps his hand away.  Jimmy punches Kofi and then they leave the ring.

— We take a look back at Monday’s Raw Season Premiere.

— Rick Boogs and Shinsuke Nakamura make their way to the ring as we go to commercial.

Trick or Street Fight: Rick Boogs and Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss

Moss sends Boogs to the floor as they avoid the pumpkin lumberjacks.  Nakamura with a flying kick to Corbin followed by a kick to Moss.  Boogs with a series of gutwrenches and he suplexes Moss.  Boogs goes for a guitar solo and Corbin hits Boogs with a kendo stick.  Corbin chokes Boogs in the ropes.  Reggie flies into the ring and then avoids the 24/7 Stooges.  Gulak sends Reggie to the floor and Reggie flips away.  Boogs with a clothesline to Corbin.  Moss sends Boogs to the floor and Moss punches Boogs.  Moss tries to send Boogs into the apples but Boogs blocks it.  Boogs tries to send Moss but he holds on.  Nakamura hits Moss with a kendo stick and then Moss goes bobbing for apples.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Corbin and Moss hit Boogs with kendo sticks.  Boogs is sent to the floor and then Corbin sends Nakamura into the ringside barrier and Corbin gives Boogs some candy.  Nakamrua kicks Corbin and the cnady flies into the crowd.  Nakamura misses a round kick and hits the ring post.  Moss clotheslines Nakamura.  Corbin grabs a pumpkin but tosses it aside.  Moss hits Nakamura from behind and then he knocks Boogs off the apron.  Corbin and Moss set for a double power bomb through the table but Boogs stops them with pumpkins.  Boogs hits Corbin and Moss with a skeleton.  Boogs with a clothesline to Corbin and Moss.  Nakamura hits Corbin and Moss with the kendo stick and then Boogs with a few shots with the kendo stick.  Nakamura with a knee to the back of the head while Boogs hits a gutwrench suplex.  

Moss with a fallaway slam to Nakamura.  Boogs with a slam to Moss.  Corbin with Deep Six to Boogs.  Moss puts a pumpkin over Nakamura and Corbin with a boot.  Boogs is Irish whipped into the corner and Corbin goes shoulder first into the ring post.  Nakamura and Corbin go into the timekeeper’s area.  Boogs with a suplex to Moss.  Two costumed men hit Boogs from behind with kendo sticks and then Moss with a DDT for the three count.

Winners:  Happy Corbin and Riddick Moss

We see that it is Humberto Carrillo and Angel Garza who were in the costumes and helped Corbin and Moss.

Backstage:

Meghan Morant is in the back with Sonya Deville.  Meghan asks about the match between Shayna and Naomi and whether there is any bias. Sami Zayn shows up and he wants to know if there is a mistake that he is not on the show tonight.  Sami says that Sonya will need someone like him in her corner. We cut to the ring where Naomi is making her way to the ring for a match against Shayna Baszler. Back to commercial.

Shayna Baszler vs. Naomi

Shayna asks where is the referee.  Sonya Deville comes out and she tells Naomi she understands there is an issue.  Sonya forgot to mention after the devastation that Brock caused last week, the referee assigned for the match is injured.  Sonya says that she will be the referee.

They lock up and Shayna goes for a Kirifuda Clutch but Naomi escapes.  Naomi goes for a rollup and Shayna goes for a heel hook.  Naomi kicks Shayna.  Naomi with forearms and a head scissors take down.  Naomi with a forearm in the corner.  Naomi with a bulldog into the turnbuckles.  Naomi with a round kick from the apron but Naomi slips on the top rope on a springboard move.  Naomi with a clothesline and Sonya does not count.  Shayna with a cover and the three count.

Winner:  Sonya Deville

After the match, the music hits but Naomi gets in Deville’s face and starts yelling at her. Baszler comes from behind and applies the Kirifuda Clutch, bringing Naomi to the mat as Deville heads to the back. Baszler makes Naomi fade out and then stands tall over her as the music starts back up.

— Kofi and Xavier are in the back and Kayla asks Woods if he thinks his reign is being challenged.  Xavier says that nothing can go wrong with Kofi by his side.  Kofi has been named the hand to the king because he has Woods’ back.  This is for the kingdom. 

The New Day vs. The Usos

King Woods and Jey start things off.  They lock up and Jey with a knee to the midsection followed by an Irish whip but Woods floats over.  Woods with a rolling elbow and he gets a near fall.  Sir Kofi tags in and he hits a forearm off the turnbuckles for a near fall.  Kofi with a European uppercut.  Jimmy tags in and they hit a double back elbow for a near fall.  Jimmy with a chop and Kofi with a drop kick out of the turnbuckles.  Kofi clotheslines Jimmy over the top rope to the floor.  Kofi with a trust fall but Jimmy and Jey catch Kofi and send him into the timekeeper’s area.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Kofi fights out of the corner but Jey with an elbow off the turnbuckles for a near fall.  Kofi swings at Jimmy as Jey sets for a running hip into the corner and hits.  Jey punches Kofi in the corner.  Jey runs into a stomp and both men are down.  Jimmy and Woods tag in and Woods with a clothesline and jumping side kick.  Woods with a side Russian leg sweep and a drop kick for a near fall.  Woods with a punch and chop.  Woods with more chops but Jimmy with an uppercut.  Woods with a kick and a gourdbuster onto the knees for a near fall. 

Jimmy with an enzuigiri and Jey tags in and hits a pop up neck breaker for a near fall.  Woods with a forearm to Jimmy but Jimmy with a forearm.  Wodos with a forearm against the ropes and Jimmy does the same.  Jimmy with a super kick and Kofi with a clothesline off the turnbuckles.  Jimmy with a pop up Samoan drop for a near fall.  Jey tags in and they hit a double super kick for a near fall.  Jimmy tags in and they go up top.  Woods pulls Jey off the turnbuckles and Jimmy lands on Kofi’s knees.  Jimmy with a rollup for a near fall.  Woods tags in and he super kicks Kofi.  Woods with a rollup for the three count.

Winners: The New Day

King Woods and Sir Kingston celebrate in the ring as we go to credits.
