USA Network Reaction To NXT Viewership Decline

The backstage reaction of individuals at USA Network has emerged following a recent drop in ratings and 18-49 demographic viewership.

This week’s edition of NXT 2.0 saw a decline in viewership for the third straight week. Andrew Zarian of The Mat Men podcast took to Twitter to reveal that a USA Network source was disappointed with the figures, but is hopeful that the dip is temporary, saying:

“The is all to bring a new younger viewer who is connected with pop culture & trends. Needless to say, the demo numbers are disappointing but we are hopeful this is just a bump in the road”

Fightful previously reported that individuals within the USA Network were aware of Raw’s declining viewership, with one source stating that they had grown tired of WWE using ‘scapegoats and shortcuts’ during the pandemic.

Next week’s edition of NXT will see Isaiah ‘Swerve’ Scott defend his North American Championship against Santos Escobar, following Hit Row’s main-roster call-up in the WWE Draft.
