Real Reason Behind Eva Marie’s Absence – Eva Marie hasn’t been seen on WWE television since the September 27th edition of Monday Night Raw.
There was an angle where Shayna Baszler stomped Eva’s elbow into the steel steps like she did to Nia Jax the previous week. WWE later came out with a storyline injury update noting Marie was being treated for a possible dislocation of her elbow.
Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Marie was written off TV “because she’s working on a movie for a while.”
As of this writing, it’s unclear when exactly Marie is expected to make her WWE TV return. During Marie’s time away from the company, she did take part in a few different acting roles.
