There is a note in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter about the man formerly known as Bray Wyatt.
As noted this week, Tony Khan did an interview and said that he has not spoken with Wyatt yet but would like to speak with him when the time is right so there is definitely interest and it’s still possible that he could sign with AEW even though many believe that he will likely work for Impact Wrestling.
Dave Meltzer noted in the Observer that Khan has to be careful with his words because from a legal standpoint, it could be considered tampering if he talks to Wyatt while he is under a 90-day non-compete with WWE.
Meltzer noted in the Observer that the last word on Wyatt is that he wants to use the Windham name going forward. His real name is Windham Lawrence Rotunda as he was named after his uncle Barry Windham.
In related news, there was a report from Andrew Zarian on the Mat Men Pro Wrestling podcast from a source that claimed that there were issues that were unreported that may have led to Wyatt’s release. Click here for more on that story.
