King Of The Ring And Queen’s Crown Tournament First Round Matches

WWE started the King of the Ring and Queen’s Crown tournament this week on SmackDown. Two matches took place to decide who moves on to the next round. There was some surprising developments during the proceedings.

Carmella and Liv Morgan battled in a first round match, and Mella had her sparkly mask on throughout the match. In the end, Carmella pinned Liv Morgan, and that got a ton of heat for her as she moved onto the semi-finals.

Toni Storm and Zelina Vega also battled and Vega pulled off a win with a nice code red. That means Zelina Vega and Carmella will battle in the semi-finals of the tournament. It’s up to the red side to see who advances over there. It will be Vega vs Mella next week.

Sami Zayn and Rey Mysterio also went at it in first-round action of the King of the Ring tournament. They used that match to further Rey’s storyline with his son, Dominik. In the end, Dominik accidentally cost Mysterio the match and Zayn advanced in the tournament.

Finn Balor later beat Cesaro in the final match of the night. That means Balor and Sami Zayn will battle next week in a war of former NXT Champions.
