WWE RAW Results (9/27) Cincinnati, OH – We begin with a look at Big E winning the WWE Title from Bobby Lashley and the recent events leading to tonight’s rematch.

Bobby Lashley vs. Big E for the WWE Championship

We are live from the Heritage Bank Center in Cincinnati, OH, as Big E makes his way to the ring. Bobby Lashley is next.

Lashley hits the corner to pose as more pyro goes off. The bell hits and we get formal ring introductions from Mike Rome. They size each other up as fans cheer for Big E to start. They lock up and go into the ropes, then the corner. Lashley backs off as the referee warns hm. They face off and have words. Big E slaps Lashley. Lashley unloads and beats Big E down in the corner.

Lashley rocks Big E in the face to keep him down. Lashley holds Big E on the middle rope and hits him with forearm shots. Lashley keeps control and hits a suplex for a 2 count. Lashley tosses Big E to the floor and stands tall in the ring. Lashley follows and rams Big E into the barrier. Lashley scoops Big E and then rams him face-first into the ring post. Fans boo as Lashley stands tall over Big E at ringside. Lashley approaches but Big E grabs him and tosses him with a big belly-to-belly throw at ringside. We go to a picture in picture commercial.

Big E sends Lashley back into the ring and Lashley with forearms and he knocks Big E off the apron.  Lashley goes to the floor and he punches Big E and connects with knees.  Lashley sends Big E into the ring steps.  Lashley sends Big E back into the ring.  Lashley with a flatliner for a near fall.  Lashley with a reverse chin lock.  Big E with punches but Lashley with a shoulder tackle.  Lashley with an Irish whip and shoulder in the corner.  Lashley puts Big E on the turnbuckles and he connects with an uppercut.  Lashley sets for a superplex but Big E stops Lashley.  Lashley with a punch and he returns to the turnbuckles for a superplex and Big E blocks it again.  Big E with forearms and Lashley goes to the mat.  Lashley with a running forearm and Big E falls off the turnbuckles and hits the floor.

Both men with clotheslines on the floor.  Lashley gets back into the ring and so does Big E.  Lashley and Big E with punches and forearms.  Lashley with a knee and Irish whip.  Lashley charges and Big E goes for the UranagE but Lashley blocks it and hits a swinging neck breaker.  Lashley with punches.  Big E with a back elbow and he goes for the Big Ending but Lashley gets to the ropes and goes to the apron.  BIg E with a punch and Big E sets for the spear through the ropes and he htis it as we see Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander in front of Big E.

Lashley is sent back into the ring.  Lashley with a spinebuster to Big E and Lashley looks at Shelton and Cedric and Cedric winks.  Lashley with a spear and the pin but the New Day attacks Alexander and Benjamin and they fall over Lashley and E. The referee calls for the bell as they continue to fight in the ring.

No Contest

After the match, all six men brawl until Lashley, Benjamin, and Alexander are sent to the floor.  Kofi and Xavier with flip dives onto Alexander and Benjamin.  Officials make their way to the ring as Lashley and Big E brawl.

Adam Pearce says it will not end like that tonight.  This match needs to decide who the better man is and it needs to be involved with those not involved out of here.  Bobby and Big E will compete again tonight and it will be tonight and it will be inside a steel cage.

The crowd pops as The New Day celebrates in the ring. The Hurt Business talks trash from ringside as officials back them up the ramp. The New Day’s music hits as they stand tall together in the ring.

– The announcers hype Charlotte Flair’s Open Challenge title defense, plus Damian Priest defending against Sheamus in a No DQ match. The New Day continues celebrating in the ring as we go back to commercial.

Erik (with Ivar) vs. Angel Garza (with Humberto Carrillo)

We are back and Garza says who knows what brand they will be drafted to.  Humberto says they are the hottest tag team in WWE.  Both brands want us.

They lock up and Erik with a knee and waist lock take down.  Garza blocks a boot and connects with a knee and clothesline.  The pants come off and Garza with forearms and knees.  Garza with a Dragon sleeper into a seated abdominal stretch.  Garza works on the arm and he kicks Erik.  Erik with a punch and forearm followed by a t-bone suplex.  Erik with a judo toss and a knee.  Carrillo gets on the apron and he distracts Erik but Ivar stops Carrillo.  Garza with a super kick and Wing Clipper for the three count.

Winner:  Angel Garza

— We see what happened with Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss at Extreme Rules.

— Reggie makes his way to the ring. He will face Ricochet for the 24/7 Title next. Back to commercial.

Reggie vs. Ricochet for the 24/7 Championship

We see The 24/7 Stooges sitting in the crowd to watch this mat classic.

They lock up and Ricochet with a side head lock and Ricochet flips over Reggie on the mat.  Ricochet with a waist lock and Reggie escapes and flips over Ricochet.  Ricochet with an Irish whip and Reggie flips out of the corner and Ricochet does the same.  Ricochet with a flip dive onto Reggie and they are down.

The 24/7 Stooges attack Ricochet and Reggie and the referee calls for the bell.

No Contest

Ricochet flips off the announce table onto Truth and Drew.  Drake gets on his walkie talkie and Tozawa comes to the ring.  Reggie with a cross body and Reggie escapes up the ramp.

— We see what happened during AJ Styles and Randy Orton last week.

Backstage:

Riddle scoots in the back and Kevin Patrick asks him how is he preparing for his match against AJ Styles. Riddle says he is alone tonight since Randy took the night off.  Riddle wonders what is Randy doing.  Riddle says with these headphones, it is like Randy is with him.  Riddle starts to sing Randy’s theme and he sees AJ Styles and Omos next to him.  

— We go to the ring where Tozawa is still in the middle of the ring.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Tozawa is still in the ring. He says he demands a match tonight with R Truth, Drew Gulak, Drake Maverick.  He says he does not care who it is. Keith “Bearcat” Lee (click here for details) makes his way to the ring and we have a match.

Keith “Bearcat” Lee vs. Akira Tozawa

Lee enters the ring with heel attitude, no smiles, serious face. Lee with a shoulder tackle followed by an Irish whip and splash.  Lee biels Tozawa across the ring.  Lee with Big Bang Catastrophe for the three count and that’s all.

Winner:  Keith Lee

— We take a look at Damian Priest’s victory at Extreme Rules.

— Damian Priest makes his way to the ring. Priest will face Sheamus in a No Disqualification, No Count Out Match for the United States Championship… Next! Back to commercial.

— Back from the break and Damian Priest says this has nothing to do with last night.  He vows to beat Sheamus tonight.

Backstage:

The New Day are in the back and Kevin Patrick ambushes to ask Big E for his plans for the steel cage match. Big E says he didn’t know there would be a family reunion tonight.  Shelton and Cedric, you want to get involved, that is okay.  I promised you two weeks ago that I would cash in and I did.  I promised that we would win last night and we did. I am going to call my shot one more time.  Just you and me and I will walk out as your rightful WWE Champion.

Damian Priest vs. Sheamus in a No Disqualification, No Count Out Match for the United States Championship

In a pre recorded video, Sheamus says this type of match is made for him.  He says he is the best brawler in the business.  This won’t be pretty.  It will be pretty ugly.  In the end, I am going to get back my US title.

They lock up and Sheamus with forearms and a take down for a cover.  Sheamus with a reverse chin lock.  Sheamus gets a near fall.  Priest with a hammer lock and he gets to the ropes but who cares because rope breaks mean nothing.  Sheamus with an elbow.  Sheamus with forearms to the back.  Priest with an Irish whip and an elbow into the corner.  Priest with an elbow in the corner and Broken Arrow for a near fall.  Sheamus goes to the floor and Priest goes to the apron and Sheamus trips Priest and punches him.  Priest with a suplex on the floor.  Priest kicks Sheamus off the ring steps.  Priest goes under the ring and he gets a table (and the crowd in Columbus would have gone wild).

Sheamus hits Priest from behind while Priest sets up the table on the floor.  Sheamus sends Priest off the ring steps.  Priest with a forearm off the ring steps.  Sheamus sends Priest back into the ring and Sheamus goes for the forearms from the apron.  Priest with forearms and he misses a boot.  Sheamus with a forearm and Sheamus with an Air Raid Crash off the apron through the table.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Sheamus with a kendo stick and he hits Priest wtih it a few times.  Sheamus puts the kendo stick in Priest’s mouth.  Sheamus with a forearm to the back when Priest tries to get free of Sheamus.  Sheamus with a power slam for a near fall.  Sheamus gets another table and sets it up against the turnbuckles.  Sheamus stomps on the hand and he punches Priest but Priest punches back.  Priest with forearms and Sheamus with a kick.  Sheamus is sent to the apron and Sheamus goes to the turnbuckles after dropping Priest on the top rope.  Sheamus comes off the turnbuckles but Priest swings for the fences and connects with the chest and back.  Priest clotheslines Sheamus over the top rope using the kendo stick.

Priest with a flying elbow to Sheamus against the ringside barrier.  Priest is sent face first into the ring post by Sheamus.  Sheamus sends Priest into the ringside barrier.  Sheamus sits down in the center of the ring while Priest struggles to get back into the ring.  Sheamus puts the chair under Priest’s neck but Priest punches Sheamus.  Priest with a bicycle kick and then he goes for a springboard move but Sheamus with a foerarm and he sends Priest into the chair in the turnbuckles.  Sheamus with an Alabama Slam and he gets a near fall.  

Sheamus sets for the Brogue Kick but Priest throws the chair at Sheamus and hits South of Heaven for a near fall.  Sheamus and Priest exchange forearms.  Priest with uppercuts and bicycle kicks.  Priest with a springboard clothesline off the ropes.  Sheamus sends Priest to the apron and Priest with a kick to the head.  Priest with a springboard move but Sheamus with a knee to the head for a near fall.  Sheamus is unable to get back to his feet and he falls to the mat.  Sheamus gets a kendo stick and he hits Priest in the back.  Sheamus misses a kendo stick shot and Priest boxes the ears.  SHeamus goes for a power slam through the table but Priest escapes.  Priest sends Sheamus through the table.

Priest picks up Sheamus and hits Reckoning for the three count.

Winner:  Damian Priest

Backstage:

Mansoor is in the Gorilla Pisition and Ali asks Mansoor if this was his idea to be part of a six man tag match with Jeff Hardy.  Mansoor says that Jeff is a legend.  If they win, they can stay together as a team.  Ali says if he saw Hardy, he would tell him… Jeff Hardy shows up and he asks Ali what would he say and Ali says that he is honored to team with him.  Jinder, Shanky, and Veer are big men and he is looking forward to twisting their fate.

We go to commercial.

Jeff Hardy, Mansoor, and Mustafa Ali vs. Veer, Shanky, and Jinder Mahal

Ali drop kicks Shanky and Shanky with a spinning side slam.  Veer tags in and he connects with a foerarm but Ali sends Veer into the turnbuckles.  Mansoor tags in and connects with a running forearm and chop and they have no effect.  Veer with a flying shoulder tackle.  Veer with a leaping elbow drop for a near fall.  Veer works on the neck.  Shanky tags back in and Mansoor with a punch.  Shanky with a forearm and elbow in the corner.  Hardy and Mahal tag in and Hardy with punches.

Hardy with a running forearm and a reverse atomic drop and double leg take down.  Hardy with a leg drop and drop kick followed by a splash for a near fall.  Hardy sets for the Twist of Fate and he kicks Mahal but Mahal sends Hardy into the corner.  Hardy with an elbow and Ali tags in and hits a slingshot rolling X Factor for a near fall.  Veer sends Hardy to the floor and Shanky picks up Hardy but Mansoor with a forearm off the ring steps.  Veer with a shoulder tackle to Ali.  Veer with a lariat for the three count.

Winners:  Veer, Shanky, and Jinder Mahal

Backstage:

Karrion Kross had comments from earlier today.  He says he has never felt more alive than now.  He has just started to taste the erasing of souls.  Some of your favorite superstars have limped out of the ring with torn ligaments.  No one knows where they will end up at the end of this, but it all leads to one point.  At the end, they all fall and pray.

Karrion Kross vs. Jaxson Ryker

They lock up and Kross with forearms and kicks in the corner.  Ryker with forearms and Kross with a boot to the head.  Kross works on the head and Kross taunts Ryker.  Ryker with forearms and Kross with an exploder for a near fall.  Kross with an arm bar.  Ryker with punches and a double sledge to the chest.  Ryker gets Kross up but Kross gets to his feet and Kross with a Doomsday Saito and Kross Jacket that forces Ryker to tap out.

Winner:  Karrion Kross

Backstage:

We see Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville in their office and Doudrop shows up.  Doudrop says she would like to have the title match.  Sonya says that Doudrop might not be the right person but Naomi does not deserve it.  Sonya suggests that Charlotte won’t expect it.  Sonya tells Doudrop if she wins, she has to do her dance.

Back to commercial.

Backstage:

We see Bobby Lashley in the back and he says that Big E calls himself the rightful champion but that makes him sick.  You cashed in after I was in a grueling match.  I am not injured tonight.  I am happy that it is a steel cage match.  I can bash your head in.  I can escape that cage or I can walk out that cage door as the rightful WWE Champion.

Riddle vs. AJ Styles

They lock up and Riddle with a waist lock take down.  AJ backs Riddle into the corner and AJ with an elbow.  AJ misses a clothesline and Riddle with kicks in the corner.  AJ blocks a kick and puts the leg in the ropes and AJ kicks Riddle in the hamstring and then he trips Riddle.  Riddle blocks a kick and Riddle with strikes to the chest and forearms.  AJ with an Irish whip and Riddle floats over and Riddle with a kick followed by a back senton.  Riddle with a Karelin lift into a gutwrench suplex and he holds on for a second one and then hits a third for a near fall.  Riddle with a knee to the head and Riddle with a forearm into teh corner but AJ with a flying forearm in the corner.

AJ drops Riddle to the floor and Riddle falls in front of Omos.  AJ with a sliding knee to the head from the apron.  AJ sends Riddle back into the ring. Riddle with punches but AJ with a back breaker.  AJ sends Riddle to the floor in front of Omos as we go to commercial.

We are back and Riddle with a Pele Kick.  Riddle with a forearm in the corner and a second one when AJ misses a forearm.  Riddle with an exploder and he misses the running kick and moonsault.  Riddle goes for a back senton and AJ gets his knees up and AJ with an ushigoroshi for a near fall.  Riddle misses a round kick and AJ with a kick.  Riddle with a German suplex for a near fall.  Riddle gets AJ on his shoudlers but AJ gets to his feet and AJ with a Pele Kick.  Riddle with a knee and both men are down.  Riddle misses a kick and AJ with a pump handle gutbuster.  AJ sets for the Phenomenal Forearm but Riddle kicks AJ off the ropes.  Riddle with a kick and a twisting Asai Moonsault.

Riddle sends AJ back into the ring and Riddle goes to the turnbuckles for a twisting moonsault but AJ catches Riddle and applies the Calf Crusher.  Riddle gets to the ropes to force a break.  Riddle kicks AJ away and AJ runs into a knee from Riddle.  Riddle punches the mat for an RKO but AJ catches Riddle and hits a modified Alpamare Water Slide and a Styles Clash for the three count.

Winner:  AJ Styles

After the match, Omos grabs Riddle and he gives Riddle a choke slam.  

— We take a look at what Shayna Baszler did to Nia Jax last week.

Shayna Baszler walks in the back and Sarah ambushes Shayna to ask her what she was thinking when she realized how bad she hurt Nia. Shayna looks at Sarah and then walks away without saying anything.

— Charlotte Flair versus Doudrop is next, after a commercial.

Charlotte Flair vs. Doudrop for the Raw Women’s Championship

They lock up and Charlotte with a side head lock.  Doudrop with a shoulder tackle.  Doudrop with a POUNCE and Charlotte with a kick.  Doudrop blocks the fallaway slam and Doudrop gets Charlotte up but Charlotte escapes.  Doudrop with a shoulder tackle and a back senton.  

Eva Marie’s music plays and while Eva is still at the entrance, Doudrop is hit from behind and Charlotte hits Natural Selection for the three count.

Winner:  Charlotte Flair

After the match, Flair stands tall as her music hits. She grabs the title but turns around to Eva standing tall over Doudrop, taking credit for the win. Flair sees this and she’s not happy. Flair drops Eva for a quick pop, and goes back to celebrating the win.

— Bill Goldberg is at his home. He will speak live, next! We go to commercial.

— We are back with a video recapping what happened at SummerSlam, when Bobby Lashley had Goldberg’s son into The Hurt Lock.

Via Satellite:

Goldberg tells Bobby Lashley it is time to talk man to man. I am a father and you are a father.  I don’t know what kind of a father you are but I hope you are a better father than a liar.  When you choked my son unconcsious you had the balls to come out and say it was a misunderstanding.  It was no misunderstanding.  When my son was born, I vowed to do everything to protect my son against anyone.  You hurt my son and I will fulfill the promise I made to my wife, son, and to you.  I am going to hurt you real bad.

If I am lucky enough, I am going to kill you.  People don’t realize I am going to enjoy every second of it because Gage Goldberg is my son.  You are about to be my victim.

In the Arena:

Back in the arena and Eva marie is still in the middle of the ring. Eva Marie says if she had the opportunity that Doudrop just had, I would be Raw Women’s champion.  Honestly, I am tired of being taken advantage of and the disrespect from all of you.  I can beat any woman in the back and they all know it.

Shayna Baszler makes her way to the ring.

Shayna puts Eva in the Kirifuda Clutch and chokes her out.  Shayna pulls Eva over the apron and kicks her in the shoulder.   Shayna tosses the ring steps away and then he puts Eva’s arm on the ring steps and Shayna stomps on the elbow.  Eva screams like Nia Jax did while the crowd is asking for “on more time.” 

— We take a look at Nikki A.S.H. and Rhea Ripley winning the tag titles last week.

Backstage:

Sarah Schreiber is in the back with Rhea Ripley and Nikki A.S.H.  She asks how have they had so much success in a short period of time.  Rhea mentions that opposites attract but they both wanted the tag titles.  Nikki says that since they are the tag champs, they need matching outfits.  Nikki asks Rhea about blue.  Rhea says blue is a great color… on you. Rhea walks away and Nikki asks Sarah about the idea of capes.

— It is time for cage lowering music and it is time for the continuation of the match that started tonight’s show before the unnecssary interference that marred it. Back to commercial.

Bobby Lashley vs. Big E for the WWE Championship in a Steel Cage Match

Back from the break and out comes Bobby Lashley for the main event. He checks out the Steel Cage structure and then makes his way in. Lashley paces the ring until the music hits and out comes WWE Champion Big E to a big pop. Lashley attacks Big E at the cage door and beats him down. Lashley unloads at ringside and sends Big E into the barrier. Lashley then launches Big E over the barrier and he lands hard.

Lashley with a big right hand before sending Big E into the steel ring steps. Fans boo as Lashley stands tall at ringside. Lashley sends Big E face-first into the steel wall of the cage, then works him over with lefts and rights against the barrier. Lashley scoops Big E on his shoulders and rams him face-first into the ring post. Lashley grabs half of the steps and stalks Big E, ramming them in his face when he gets back up. We go to commercial with Big E down at ringside and Lashley pacing around the ringside area.

We are back and both men are in the cage and the referee starts the match.  Lashley charges at Big E and Big E with a UranagE for a near fall.  Big E sends Lashley into the cage many times.  Big E with an Irish whip and Lashley with a clothesline out of the corner.  Lashley punches Big E and sends him into the cage.  Lashley punches Big ELashley with a shoulder into the corner and then Lashley with a suplex.  Lashley with a seated splash to the back.  Lashley charges at Big E and Big E hip tosses Lashley into the turnbuckles.  Big E sends Lashley into the cage a few times.  Big E goes for the Big Ending but Lashley escapes and tries for the Hurt Lock but Big E blocks it and connects with an elbow.  Lashley with an exploder for a near fall.

Lashley starts to climb the cage but Big E stops Lashley.  Big E grabs Lashley and sets for a Super Big Ending but Lashley lands on the ropes and applies a Dragon Sleeper.  Big E passes out and Lashley climbs the cage but he has trouble navigating the top of the cage.  Big E recovers and he grabs Lashley and connects with forearms to the back and he sends Lashley’s face into the cage and Lashley falls to the mat.  Big E gets to the top of the cage and Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander come out and punch Big E and force him back into the cage.  

Lashley goes to the door but Woods slams the door in Lashley’s face.  Woods with a super kick to Alexander as Cedric comes off the cage.  Benjamin is pulled off the cage and Woods with a forearm off the cage and Kofi with a trust fall onto Benjamin and Alexander.

We return see Bobby and Big E down on the mat as we go to commercial.

We are back and Lashley with a superplex.  Big E with a back elbow.  Big E with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex and then he hits a second one.  Lashley misses a clothesline and Big E with a belly-to-belly suplex.  Lashley gets a near fall after intercepting Big E with a huge spear.   Lashley with a neck breaker and he climbs the turnbuckles.  Lashley with a shoudler tackle to Big E.  Lashley points to the door for it to be opened but he kicks Big E before going to the door.  BIg E grabs Lashley and Lashley kicks him.

Big E with a Big Ending for a near fall.  Big E goes for the door but Lashley grabs the leg.  Big E goes for a belly-to-belly suplex but Lashley blocks it and connects with an uppercut. Lashley with a spinebuster.  Lashley climbs the cage again and has similar problems.  Big E with punches to the back and legs.  Lashley punches back.  Big E with elbows to Lashley.  Big E goes for the Super Big Ending and hits it for the three count.

Winner:  Big E

After the match, Big E slowly recovers and raises the WWE Title in the air as the music hits. Big E hits the corner to pose with the strap as we go to replays. The cage is raised as Big E celebrates on the apron now. The music interrupts and out comes Drew McIntyre to a pop. Big E looks on a bit confused. McIntyre appears on the entrance-way with his sword, Angela. McIntyre points the sword at Big E in the ring. They mouth words at each other as the post-Extreme Rules edition of RAW goes off the air.
