WWE Closes Extreme Rules With Ring Malfunctions Angle

WWE Closes Extreme Rules With Ring Malfunctions Angle – The main event of tonight’s WWE Extreme Rules PPV saw Roman Reigns and “The Demon” Finn Balor battling for the Universal Title.

The closing moments of the match saw Reigns spearing Balor through the ringside barrier after The Usos interfered. The Demon’s music then hits and Balor starts to resuscitate. Back to his feet, Balor then hits Roman with a chair several times and then sends Roman through a table. Back in the ring, it appeared that Balor was going to rally and win the match, but then the unthinkable happened.

Just as The Demon was about to hit a Coup De Gras from the top rope, smoke started billowing from under the squared circle. The turnbuckle suddenly collapsed and Balor fell to the mat holding his knee. This gave Roman Reigns an opportunity to hit a spear and win the match.

“What type of bush league? How the hell does that happen?!” Pat McAfee asked on commentary while Roman Reigns celebrated in the ring. Fans in Columbus were left stunned as the Tribal Chief walked out as the WWE Universal Champion.
