US Title Match At Extreme Rules Now A Triple Threat

The US Title Match at Sunday’s Extreme Rules pay-per-view is now a Triple Threat.

On tonight’s WWE RAW episode, Jeff Hardy defeated Sheamus and there was a stipulation attached. Interestingly enough, the same can’t be said about the actual card. If Hardy won that match, then he received a spot at Extreme Rules in the United States Title match. In the end, Hardy defeated Sheamus and won a spot at Extreme Rules. That was the only alteration that they made to the card, and they also didn’t nail down any stipulations.

On the September 6 episode of Raw, Sheamus defeated Drew McIntyre to earn a United States Championship match against Damian Priest at the event. On last week’s (September 13) show, Sheamus interrupted an open challenge match between Priest and Jeff Hardy to cause a disqualification.

WWE Extreme Rules streams live on Sunday, September 26 on WWE Network and Peacock in the United States.
