Several Former WWE Stars Debuted At AEW Dark Tapings

First-Look At AEW Dark At Universal Studios

AEW taped four weeks of Dark episodes on Saturday at Universal Studios in Florida. Several former WWE NXT stars debuted and there was a challenge issued for AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam.

There were two sets of tapings. Each taping covered two 90 minute shows so they taped four shows on Saturday. This will cover them for the next four weeks and the plan is to tape once a month.

Here are the spoilers, courtesy of JJ Williams.

First taping

– The Butcher and The Blade defeated Hunter Knott and Rosario Grillo

– Anna Jay defeated Ashley D’Amboise. There was a post-match angle. The Bunny attacked Jay but Tay Conti ran in to make the save.

– 2point0 defeated The Lockhart Brothers

– Jade Cargill defeated Angelica Risk

– Fuego del Sol defeated Mysterious Movado

– Shawn Spears defeated Invictus Khash

– Best Friends defeated TH2 and Jora Johl in a six-man tag match

– Leyla Hirsch defeated KiLynn King. After the match, there was a pull apart with referees out to separate Jade Cargill and Hirsch.

– Wardlow beat JDX. This was a referee stoppage after Wardlow hit JDX with several power bombs and his trademark knee to the face spot in the corner of the ring.

– Big Swole defeated Allie Katch

– Santana and Ortiz beat Chaos Project

– Joey Janela beat Dillion McQueen

– Tay Conti defeated Marina Tucker

– Lee Johnson and Brock Anderson defeated Luke Kurtis and Cameron Steward. Dustin Rhodes was there in the corner of Johnson and Anderson.

– FTR defeated Stallion Rogers and Anthony Greene (fka former WWE NXT stars Curt Stallion and August Grey).

– The Bunny defeated XTina Kay

– Lance Archer defeated Marcus Kross

– John Silver and Alex Reynolds defeated Peter Avalon and Ryan Nemeth

– Daniel Garcia defeated The Dark Order’s Alan Angels

– QT Marshall, Aaron Solow and Nick Comoroto defeated Sean Maluta, Darien Bengston and Cole Karter

– Eddie Kingston beat Bear Bronson. After the match, Kingston issued a challenge for AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam in New York City. Kingston says he and Jon Moxley want a match against Lance Archer and Minoru Suzuki. Archer ran out to attack Kingston.

Second taping

– Thunder Rosa defeated Nikita Knight

– Kiera Hogan defeated Leila Grey

– Private Party beat JDX and Carlie Bravo

– 10 beat Brandon Gore

– Cezar Bononi and Adrian Jaoude beat Ryzin and Jake St. Patrick. Jaoude is former WWE NXT star Arturo Ruas, who also had a brief stint on the main roster on Raw.

– Lance Archer quickly beat an unnamed opponent.

– Ricky Starks beat Darius Lockhart

– Stu Grayson and Evil Uno beat Adrian Alanis and Liam Gray

– Jula Hart beat Reka Tehaka

– Bear Country defeated Rick Fulton and Jameson Ryan

– Dante Martin and Matt Sydal beat QT Marshall and Aaron Solo

– FTR, Shawn Spears and Wardlow defeated Dean Alexander, Baron Black, Austin Green, and Aaron Frye

– Abadon beat Valentina Rossi

– The Acclaimed beat Michael Martinez and Vary Morales

– Sonny Kiss defeated Kal Herro (son of promoter David Herro)

– Kris Statlander defeated Zeda Zhang

– Skye Blue beat Maddie Wrenkowski

– Eddie Kingston beat Anthony Henry, formerly known as WWE NXT’s Asher Hale

– The Gunn Club beat three unnamed opponents

– Varsity Blonds beat Peter Avalon and Ryan Nemeth

– Serpentico defeated Marko Stunt

– Orange Cassidy beat Nick Comoroto

– Shawn Dean beat Andrew Lockhart

– Daniel Garcia beat Aaron Lockhart

– KiLynn King beat Ashley D’Amboise

– Wardlow beat Darien Bengston

– Diamante beat Santana Garrett (former WWE NXT star)

– Evil Uno beat Anthony Greene

– Joey Janella beat Stallion Rogers

– Colt Cabana beat JD Drake.

After the show, Cabana, Kingston, and Tony Khan thanked the fans for attending the tapings.
