NXT 2.0 Results – September 14, 2021 – We start off with comments from the competitors for the NXT Title.

Tommaso Ciampa says the faces change, but Tommaso Ciampa will always be Mr. NXT.  Tonight, the greatest love story in sports entertainment gets a second chapter.  Ciampa and Goldie 2.0. 

Pete Dunne says he has been telling you he is the toughest in NXT and he will prove it.  The result is inevitable.  The Bruiserweight as NXT Champion. 

Kyle O’Reilly says this is the opportunity we all look for.  I am one win away from a goal sixteen years in the making.  it is about damn time. 

LA Knight says Samoa Joe was afraid that he was going to lose the title to him.  There are three who are in that spot.  It is LA Knight’s game. Braun Breaker shows up next to LA Knight and he says he wants to prove himself. Knight says he tells Braun to go to the ring and he will beat the brakes off this half wit.

— We are live from the Capitol Wrestling Center in Orlando, FL, as LA Knight makes his way to the ring for our first match of the night.

LA Knight vs. Bron Breakker

Out next comes Bron Breaker, the son of the legendary Rick Steiner. His theme starts off with sirens, similar to his legendary uncle, Scott Steiner. Bron bounces around and heads to the ring with his singles, similar to the one The Steiner Brothers wore years ago.

Knight with forearms and punches.  Bron with a clothesline and side head lock.  Bron with a shoulder tackle.  Breakker with waist lock take downs.  Knight with a kick and shoulder tackle.  Knight with punches and kicks and then he chokes Breakker.  Knight with a knee to the midsection.  Breakker with an Irish whip but he misess a splash into the corner.  Knight with a neck breaker.  Breakker pushes Knight away and connects with a back elbow.  Breakker with flying shoudler tackles followed by a belly-to-belly suplex.  Knight with punches and a knee to the head.  Breakker presses Knight over his head and hits a power slam for the three count.

Winner:  Bron Breakker

— We are back from a break with a look at Bron Breakker’s victory over a man who is wrestling for the top men’s title on the brand later tonight. Bron is congratulated by everyone in the back on his victory.  

Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner vs. Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen

Before the match, Jensen says the bar of the tag team division has been risen.  Briggs says any team looking for a knock down drag out fight, you have found it.

Aichner and Jensen start things off and Jensen with a punch.  Aichner with a clothesline.  Aichner with forearms to teh back and Jensen with a power slam.  Briggs tags in and they hit a double clothesline.  Barthel tags in and gives Briggs and arm drag.  AIchner with an arm bar.  Briggs with a forearm to teh back followed by a head butt and side slam.  Briggs with a splash for a near fall.  

Briggs blocks a boot in the corner and Barthel with chops and forearms.  Barthel with a snap mare and boot to the head.  Aichner tags in and they hit the double drop kick combination.  Briggs blocks a belly-to-back suplex and he hits one of his own.  Jensen tags in and hits a back elbow and he slams Aichner.

Jensen with a back breaker and slam.  Jensen sends Barthel over the top rope to the floor.  Barthel pulls Briggs off the apron and then Briggs is sent into teh ring steps.  Jensen with a rollup for a near fall.  Jensen with a clothesline.  Jensen goes up top and Barthel gets on the apron to distract Jensen.  Aichner with a butterfly superplex for the three count.

Winners:  Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner

— Hit Row is in their studio and Adonis says that B-Fab is the hottest thing.  Scott says things got spooky for B-Fab when they saw her.  Dolla says B-Fab is the baddest chick, and not just because of how she looks.  She trained with the baddest on the planet.  World Champions and Olympic Medalists.

We go to commercial.

B-Fab vs. Katrina Cortez

We go back to the ring and out comes Hit Row – “B-Fab” Briana Brandy with NXT North American Champion Isaiah “Swerve” Scott, Ashante “Thee” Adonis, “Top Dolla” AJ Francis. The masked Katrina Cortez is already waiting in the ring.

The bell rings and B-Fab takes Cortez down first as Hit Row cheers her on. B-Fab with big kicks in the corner now. B-Fab with a submission from behind. We get a picture-in-picture video of Pete Dunne and Ridge Holland warming up.

Cortez with a big right hand out of the corner. B-Fab runs into a boot. Cortez leaps from the corner but B-Fab knocks her out of the air with a pump kick.

B-Fab grabs Cortez in the middle of the ring, yells a shout-out to Hit Row, then drops her with a Rude Awakening neckbreaker for the pin to win.

Winner: B-Fab

After the match, B-Fab stands tall and takes the mic as Hit Row joins her. She cuts a promo and begins to address Elektra Lopez but the music interrupts and out comes Legado del Fantasma to the stage. They have words and Lopez says this time she won’t need a pipe to beat B-Fab down. B-Fab challenges her to come to the ring but Legado del Fantasma holds her back. B-Fab says they saved Elektra’s life.

– Cameron Grimes is backstage with Johnny Gargano and Odyssey Jones. They’re the best men for Dexter Lumis and they’re all dressed like him, no tuxedos. Someone knocks on the door and it’s Austin Theory. He says he did run away but he’d never miss this wedding. WWE United States Champion Damian Priest walks in next. Fans in the arena chant his name. Priest is here for the open bar and Grimes says it’s all on him. They do some comedy to end the segment.

– We go back to the ring and out comes 2021 NXT Breakout Tournament winner Carmelo Hayes. Trick Williams, the former Matrick Belton, is with him. We go to commercial as they head to the ring.

— Samantha Irvin is in the ring with Carmelo Hayes.

Hayes says he won the breakout tournament and he has the juice now.  You are not going to catch me off guard again.  When I look around, at the end of the day, this is just a numbers game.  I called up my boy Trick and he asks if he is bout it.  Hayes says as long as he has this, wherever he goes, Trick goes.  When he eats, Trick eats.  When he gets put on, Trick gets put on.

Trick says he is here for two reasons.  He was born with the gift of the gab and the gift of the jab.  He says he is proud of Melo.  He is the golden child of NXT.  Trick says he has a bone to pick with Hayes.  You walk your walk and talk your talk.  When Melo shoots, he don’t miss.  Who is this humble Melo?  

Hayes says no more holding back.  It is too hard to be this good and so humble.  He says he is the Golden Child.  He is the Chosen One.  When Melo shoots, he doesn’t miss.  If I choose to pass it, Trick is going to receive it.

As he goes to the back, Duke Hudson makes his way to the ring. Duke tells Hayes he got lucky in the Braakout Tournament.  Hudson pushes past Hayes. Williams tells Hayes this stops today.

Williams with a spinning boot to Hudson followed by more kicks.  Hayes joins in the beat down and they kick Hudson.  Hayes with a springboard clothesline to Hudson and Williams with a kick for extra impact.

— Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne are in the back.  Jacy says Mandy looks amazing.  Gigi says that wasn’t the real you, this is the real Mandy.  New NXT, new Mandy Rose.  Gigi and Jacy go to the ring.

— Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter make their way to the ring as we go to commercial.

— We are bsck and they are working on the set up for the wedding of Indi and Dexter.

Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter vs. Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne

Carter and Dolin start things off and Carter knocks Jayne down and Carter punches Dolin.  Kacy sends Jacy to the floor.  Carter with an Irish whiop and splash.  Carter with a drop kick and Kacy tags in and hits a somersault leg drop for a near fall.  Kacy goes for an octopus.  

While the match goes on, we see Kyle O’Reilly in his dressing room being attacked by Pete Dunne and Ridge Holland.

Kacy with an arm drag and Jayne tags in but misses a boot.  Kacy with a boot and Carter tags in.  Carter with a kick from the apron and Kacy tags in.  Kacy goes up top and a now brunette Mandy Rose attacks Kacy on the turnbuckles and the referee calls for the bell.

Winners by DQ:  Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter

After the match, Sarray comes to the ring and she goes after Dolin and Jayne.  Sarray is unable to get Mandy before Mandy is able to leave the ring.

We go to commercial.

Sarray, Kacy Catanzaro, and Kayden Carter vs. Mandy Rose, Gigi Dolin, and Jacy Jayne

The match is joined in progress and Sarray tags in and she hits a spinning heel kick to Dolin and then Rose and Jayne are knocked off the apron.  Sarray goes up top and hits a missile drop kick.  Sarray with a Fisherman’s suplex for a near fall.  Dolin is sent into the turnbuckles and Sarray with a drop kick in the corner.  Carter tags in and so does Kacy.  Kacy trips Gigi and Carter with a drop kick.  Kacy with a slingshot senton for a near fall.  Mandy tags in and she kicks Kacy and chokes her in the ropes.  Mandy with shoulders in the corner and Jacy and Gigi tag in and Gigi with a clothesline for a near fall.  Gigi pulls at Kacy’s face in the ropes and Jayne with a boot when the referee is not looking.  Gigi with an Irish whip and Mandy tags in.  Mandy with forearms and a slam for a near fall.  Mandy with a body scissors.

Kacy leans back and gets a near fall.  Kacy with punches.  Mandy catches Kacy and hits a fallaway slam.  Jacy tags in and she chops Kacy and hits a suplex.  Jacy with a back senton for a near fall.  Jacy sends Kacy into the corner and Mandy tags in and Kacy escapes a slam attempt but Mandy keeps Kacy from making the tag for a moment.  Carter tags in and she connects with forearms to Jayne and Rose.  Rose with an elbow and Carter with a drop kick.  Carter with a forearm to Rose and Jayne.  Carter with a drop kick to Jayne in the corner and she splashes Mandy. 

Carter with a rollup and thrust kick for a near fall.  Dolin sends Kacy to the floor but Sarray drop kicks Dolin to the floor.  Sarray and Mandy go face to face and Mandy with forearms.  Sarray goes for a wheelbarrow but Mandy with a sit out gourdbuster.  Carter with a kick for a near fall.  Carter with a waist lock and Mandy goes for an O’Connor Roll but Carter holds on to the ropes.  Rose with a jumping knee for the three count.

Winners:  Mandy Rose, Gigi Dolin, and Jacy Jayne

— We see Indi in the back and Candice has some issues with what the maids of honor are wearing.  Back to commercial.

— We are back with a Raquel Gonzalez video package.

— McKenzie Mitchell is in WIlliam Regal’s office.  He mentions that Kyle O’Reilly is no longer cleared to wrestle and the man who saved Kyle gets that spot.  Vaughn Wagner.

Ridge Holland vs. Drake Maverick

Holland with an exploder and a European uppercut.  Holland with a short arm clothesline.  Holland with a forearm across the face. Holland with a head butt and Drake goes down.  Holland with a head butt to the back of the head followed by Northern Grit for the three count.

Winner:  Ridge Holland

After the match, Holland stands tall as the music hits. He stares down at the floor as Waller checks on Drake.

– McKenzie is backstage with Tommaso Ciampa. He talks about the new NXT and how everyone is fighting for a spot. He talks about how long it’s been since he had the NXT Title, and says tonight he gets his redemption. Ciampa walks off.

— We go back to the ring and out comes The Diamond Mine – Julius Creed and Brutus Creed with Malcolm Bivens, Hachiman and Roderick Strong. Back to commercial.

The Creed Brothers vs. Dan Jarmon and Trevor Skelly

Brutus with a Gator Roll and punches.  Brutus sends his opponent over the top rope to the floor.  Brutus trips his other opponent.  Brutus sends his opponent into his partner with a Death Valley Driver.  Julius gets involved with a Super Collider.  Brutus drops his opponent on the top rope with a gutwrench.  Julius tags in and he hits a front face lock suplex.  Julius forces his opponent to tag in and he brings him into the ring.  He gives Julius a drop kick but it only angers Julius and makes Brutus smile.  He sednss his opponent into the ropes and hits a power slam.  Julius with a gutwrench bomb and clothesline for the three count.

Winners:  Julius Creed and Brutus Creed

After the match, Malcolm says the Creed Brothers proved they will destroy any human being with two legs.  You may walk in this ring, but you will be carried out.  This is the most dominant force in Sports Entertainemtn.  He introduces the newest member of the Diamond Mine.  Ivy Nile.  No one is more determined or works harder.  Malcolm asks for Ivy to flex for the fans.  She has not had a carb since 2005.  She ran ten miles before you ate breakfast.  She was the star of Titan Games.  She welcomes Ivy to the team.

KUSHIDA makes his way to the ring.  He says that Malcolm talks to much and he says that he is ready for Roddy. Malcolm suggests they have the match next week for the Cruiserweight Title.

— Dexter Lumis is in the back getting ready for the wedding and he is way too talkative.

— Vic asks Beth Phoenix about Edge and she says that Edge is recuperating at home.

Von Wagner vs. Tommaso Ciampa vs. Pete Dunne vs. LA Knight for the NXT Men’s Championship

Knight goes after Wagner while Ciampa works over Dunne.  Wagner and Ciampa push each other.  Knight with a rollup on Wagner and then hits a DDT.  Knight knocks Dunne of the apron and Knight with a power slam to Ciampa.  Knight with a back elbow in the corner.  Wagner with a back elbow to Knight and Wagner with a belly-to-back suplex.  Dunne works on Wagner’s hand and he stomps on the arm.    Ciampa and Dunne are alone in the ring.   They exchange punches and Dunne goes for the hand and he puts it on the mat and misses a boot to the elbow.  Ciampa with forearms followed by a snap mare and forearms across the chest.  Knight grabs Ciampa by the beard and Ciamap clotheslines Knight over the top rope to the floor.  Dunne with a clothesline to Ciampa.

Dunne with a hammer lock and he pulls at the fingers on the other hand.  Wagner kicks Dunne and Dunne with chops.  Wagner wtih a forearm and Dunne with a kick.  Wagner with a clothesline to Dunne followed by a flatliner to Knight.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Knight with a reverse chin lock on Ciampa.  We see footage of Knight sending Wagner into the ring steps.  Ciampa with a kick to Knight and then he punches and chops Dunne before returning to Knight.  Ciampa with punches to Knight and Dunne and Ciampa follows with Infinity Clotheslines to Dunne and Knight and he hits a flying double clothesline.  Ciampa with a kick to Wagner and he tries for Fairy Tale Ending but Wagner blocks it and hits a back body drop.  Knight with Blunt Force Traume for a near fall on Wagner.  Wagner with a double underhook but Knight escapes and he hits Blunt Force Trauma on Wagner.

Ciampa blocks Blunt Force Trauma and hits Willow’s Bell on Knight and Dunne pulls Knight to the floor.  Ciampa with a twisting pescado onto all three men and then he looks at the title up close and personal.  Ciampa with a running knee to Dunne followed by the set for Fairy Tale Ending but Dunne grabs the fingers and he pulls at them.  Dunne with Bitter End but Knight sends Dunne to teh floor.  Wagner with an Olympic Slam on Knight for a near fall. 

Wagner sets for a power bomb on Dunne but Ciampa hits Wagner.  Ciampa punches Wagner and then Ciampa and Dunne with running forearms to Wagner at the same time.  Ciampa and Dunne exchange forearms.

Dunne slaps Ciampa and Ciampa with a jumping knee.  Dunne with a German suplex and Ciampa goes to the floor.  Dunne goes to the apron and then he goes up top but Knight with a superplex to Dunne.  Wagner with a butterfly driver for a near fall.  Ciampa with Fairy Tale Ending to Knight for the three count.

After the match, Ciampa celebrates his victory.

— We have a video package for the Wedding of the Century this Millennium of the Week.

It’s time for the wedding of InDex – Indi Hartwell and Dexter Lumis. The crew is setting the ring up for a wedding, the first-ever on this NXT brand. Out comes NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Io Shirai and Zoey Stark, plus The Grizzled Young Veterans. We go to commercial.

Back from the break and everyone is out for the wedding, several Superstars in the wedding party and in chairs as guests. Lumis is there staring straight ahead. The music hits and out comes Indi, walked down the aisle by Johnny Gargano.

The preacher begins the ceremony but Gargano’s nervous and emotional energy is getting in the way. Gargano doesn’t know where the rings are. Austin Theory jokes they’re in a ring, the wrestling ring. Candice LeRae is annoyed by Gargano’s energy and Theory’s joke. Apparently Ikemen Jiro has the rings. Indi is asked to share her vows now. She goes on about how people misunderstand Lumis, they see him as a creep but she sees him as her cuddly teddy bear. Indi goes on and says she can’t wait to spend the rest of their lives together. Everyone applauds. Dexter is asked to deliver his vows now. Lumis simply gives Indi a thumbs up. He’s still not speaking.

The preacher is confused. The preacher apologizes to Indi and says it’s probably just nerves. Lumis grabs the man and puts him out with the Silence submission. Everyone calls on NXT General Manager William Regal to finish the ceremony. Fans chant for Regal’s name. We see Zombie Referee lurking beside Regal. WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix steps up to the podium. She says she had a feeling something like this would happen so last night she got online and became ordained as a minister. Beth says let’s cut to the chase… Andre Chase interrupts and asks if someone said Chase? He goes to speak but Odyssey Jones takes him out. Fans chant Jones’ name.

Beth calls for the rings and wraps up the ceremony. Indi says “I do” and puts the ring on Lumis’ finger. Beth goes on but Lumis just stares straight ahead. Beth says that must mean a yes. Lumis puts his hand over her mic. Lumis says “I…. do.” The crowd goes wild. Beth pronounces them husband and wife, and says Lumis may kiss the bride. Indi and Lumis kiss and raise their arms together. Lumis picks Indi up and just stands there with her.

– We go backstage to new NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa watching the wedding. Bron Breakker walks up and congratulates Ciampa on the title win. Ciampa congratulates Breakker on winning his debut match. Ciampa offers his hand for a shake and Bron just looks at it. Bron then shakes Ciampa’s hand, staring at him and fuming. Ciampa seethes back. The NXT 2.0 debut episode goes off the air with Ciampa and Breakker locked in a handshake, fuming at each other.
