Bron Breakker Name Change Not Related To Vince McMahon’s Feelings About Scott Steiner

Coming out of the relaunch of WWE NXT, the name that everyone is talking about is Bron Breakker, also known as Bronson Rechsteiner, the son of Rick Steiner and nephew of Scott Steiner.

As previously noted, at one point the idea was to call him Rex Steiner but before the first NXT 2.0 broadcast, the decision was made to change his name to Bron Breakker, and this was simply due to WWE wanting to own the trademark on the name for merchandising.

The name change baffled a lot of fans and people in the company since it makes more sense to use the Steiner name since he looks like his father and sounds so much like his uncle Scott. There was some online speculation that the name change was because of supposed animosity between WWE and Scott.

According to WrestlingNews.co, Vince McMahon has no issue with Scott Steiner. As far as why Scott has yet to be inducted into the Hall Of Fame, it’s because Scott has said on multiple occasions that he doesn’t want to get inducted. The source reiterated that Vince McMahon doesn’t have the same issues that he did with Bruno Sammartino and The Ultimate Warrior so if Scott wants to talk then Vince will likely listen.

We were told that there were attempts to work with Scott several years ago and he was offered a Legends deal but Scott declined the offer.
