WWE RAW Results (8/30) Oklahoma City – OK -We are live from the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City, OK, as WWE United States Champion Damian Priest kicks off RAW with an Open Challenge.
Priest says he always wanted to welcome everyone to Raw. Last Saturday, he had a history making SummerSlam and he became the United States Champion. Priest says he will show this title the respect it deserved, like previous champions, Rey Mysterio, Jeff Hardy, and John Cena. That is not something the WWE Champion Bobby Lashley is doing. Lashley showed what type of champion he was last week when he walked away like a coward. I promise I will handle this right.
Priest asks who is going to accept the open challenge.
Sheamus says he cannot believe that he agrees with Damian. Bobby Lashley loves to run from a fight. I love that you are out here with a big smile on your face to make an open challenge for the US Title, even if the people don’t deserve it. I am going ot take the Brogue Kick, wipe that smile off your face, and take back my gold.
Drew McIntyre’s music plays and he says as much as he wants to see Priest beat Sheamus for the 500th time, it is time for something fresh. Drew says there is one title that has evaded him over the years. He has never been United States Champion. Drew proposes that he face Damian Priest for the US title tonight.
Sheamus and Drew argue.
Not to be outdone for this one on one challenge, we have our third person to come out and it is the WWE Champion Bobby Lashley. He is joined by Montel Vontavious Porter.
Porter says for the first time ever, he wants everyone to hold their applause for Bobby Lashley. Bobby wanted to hold an open challenge every week, like you did. He says Goldberg has been dealt with as long as the entire roster. That is why Lashley does not need an open challenge. Porter says it is somewhat admirable, but not good for business. Porter says what is good for business is that Bobby faces Damian Priest and becomes a double champion.
Randy Orton’s music plays and he comes out with Riddle.
Orton says he does not want to put words in Riddle’s mouth but everything MVP says sucked. Orton calls Lashley a greedy son of a bitch who cannot have what he wants and that is a second championship. Riddle asks how can he hold two championsihps… Orton shuts up Riddle.
Lashley says he wants a second championship, but it doesn’t have to be the US title. He can take the tag titles.
Riddle says he has a great idea. Since the word of the day is Open Challenge, why don’t they have an open challenge against Bobby Lashley and MVP.
Orton says he is not sure about that and MVP accepts the challenge.
Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville comes out and Sonya says we have two huge main events. Pearce says Damian Priest will defend the title against Sheamus and Drew McIntyre in a Triple Threat Match. Sonya says MVP and Bobby Lashley will face Riddle and Randy Orton for the Raw Tag Team Titles.
