After breaking the internet earlier this week with her new photos, now the news is official: Mickie James is returning to the ring for the first time since January and her opponent will be none other than Kylie Rae. The match will take place at NWA73 on Aug. 29 just one night after NWA Empowerrr.
As seen below, the complete card for the show was revealed this afternoon by Billy Corgan on the YouTube channel of the National Wrestling Alliance.
James has been putting together Empowerrr as the lead producer. She explained she would not participate at that event but would return to the ring at NWA’s 73rd Anniversary show. Rae recently signed with NWA in June after returning to wrestling. She is shown on the poster for Empowerrr but Rae has not been announced for a match at this time.
This is one of two women’s matches that will take place at NWA73. The other will be NWA World Women’s Champion Kamille taking on the winner of the main event Women’s Invitational from Empowerrr. Kamille is defending her title at Empowerrr against Leyla Hirsch.
