This weekend might determine the future of Alexa Bliss’ doll Lily that has been appearing on WWE TV for the last several weeks.
The Mat Men Pro Wrestling’s Andrew Zarian tweeted the following: “The merch sales this weekend will be the story when it comes to Lilly the winking doll… Merch sales will determine a lot this week according to my source.”
According to WrestlingNews.co, someone high up in WWE who said the following on Alexa’s doll:
“Vince laughs when he sees that doll. He loves that doll. He has heard some of the criticism but thinks it’s more of the internet fans that hate it. If parents buy the doll for their kids then he sees the doll as a success.”
We were told that there have been ideas pitched for kids’ toys featuring the likeness of Nikki A.S.H. but, as Zarian noted in his tweet, a lot will depend on how merchandise sales do this weekend in Las Vegas and on the WWE Shop website. WWE released new Nikki A.S.H. shirts on their website this week.
For those of you wondering, we have heard no talk about the current incarnation of the Alexa Bliss character being scrapped.
