WWE Money In The Bank 2021 Results – As always your host for the pre-show is Kayla Braxton. She is joined by Jerry Lawler, Booker T, John Layfield, and Peter Rosenberg. They run through the card for the show.

Sonya Deville has joined the panel.
Kayla starts off by asking Sonya about the Women’s Ladder match and Kayla mentions that everyone who has won has cashed in. Sonya says every woman who has held that briefcase has become a star. Kayla asks Sonya about what to think about during this match. Sonya says she was involved in a match, but not part of the match. She did help Mandy during the match. She says anything can happen. She mentions Liv Morgan getting into the match. Everything is on the line and she wants to see the women step up. She says that is why she pushed Liv Morgan to earn her spot. Booker talks about the sacrifices made in the match and Booker wonders if Liv will win the match.
Liv Morgan is in the back and she joins the panel.
Kayla asks her about her thoughts about the match. Liv says she is so excited about this match. She says this is the biggest night of her career and she is looking forward to winning the match. Peter mentions being in the crowd on Friday and he asks her how to take what happened on Friday to tonight. Liv says she is happy to have the WWE Universe behind her. To know that the love is reciprocated means so much to her. Booker asks Liv if she is too caught up in the moment expecting to win? Liv says she is ready and willing to risk it all. There is nothing she won’t do to make sure that she has the ladder in her hands at the end of the match.

Kayla asks who Sonya thinks has the upper hand in this match. Sonya says Rhea is a good person and you have to look at their character when looking at this match. Rhea will take and take and play by the book until she gets fed up. Then you will see a side you never want to see. That is where Charlotte has pushed her to. Peter asks if Rhea is the nightmare or a good person. John asks if you can ‘Out Flair’ a Flair. Rhea cannot beat Charlotte at her own game. Booker talks about how there is someone who comes along to try to take the spot from the top star and he feels that is where Rhea is right now. Jerry says you don’t underestimate the Queen and you cannot win when you try to one up Charlotte. Sonya says that when you get pushed and pushed and get to that point that you pop off, it could be the most dangerous person around. Kayla asks for predictions and Jerry and Booker pick Charlotte. John agrees with Booker and Jerry. Peter goes with Rhea.

Peter asks what do you do with a man the size of Omos. John says you have to figure out a way to get him out of his game. He does not know if the Viking Raiders can do that. Booker says Omos is young, strong, and hungry. You don’t want to mess with him especially with the influence of AJ Styles. Jerry says you call the Men in Black. John mentions two individuals against a great tag team in this match and Booker says you shouldn’t discount the Viking Raiders. Everyone picks AJ Styles and Omos.

Peter says if Bobby is in the same mood tonight he was in on Monday night, he doesn’t think Kofi has a chance. John says there is no problem with champagne and women. He says Kofi should have had this match two weeks ago. Bobby has awakened and that is a bad thing for Kofi. Booker says he agrees with Bobby that it is time to get down to business. He says Bobby has his focus and killer instinct back. Jerry says it is time for Bobby to get serious. He says Kofi better not be on the track when the train comes through. They all pick Bobby Lashley.
— We take a look back at Friday’s Smackdown in front of a live crowd in Houston.
Miz and John Morrison show up at the table. Miz says that John Morrison will be the next Money in the Bank winner. Miz says Morrison does not need advice. This is a career changing moment. John will go to the main event of Wrestlemania, just like Miz says he did when he won Money in the Bank. Morrison is asked if he is nervous and he says he is nervous because he cares.

Smackdown Tag Team Championship Match: Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio vs. The Usos
The Mysterios come to the ring from another planet and through the Stargate with their new, bad, entrance… Dominik and Jimmy start things off and they lock up. Jimmy misses a punch on the break and Dominik with punches. Dominik with a drop kick or two. Dominik with a few arm drags into an arm bar. Rey tags in and he kicks Jimmy in the arm. Dominik and Rey with a double hip toss and Dominik power bombs his father onto Jimmy for a near fall. Jimmy runs Rey into the corner and Jey tags in and he hits a forearm in the corner. Rey with a drop kick. Jey sends Rey under the bottom rope to the floor.
Jimmy tags in and he hits a diving head butt. Jimmy chokes Rey in the ropes and Jey with a punch when the referee is not looking. Jimmy with a head butt and a rear chin lock. Rey lands on his feet on a belly-to-back suplex attempt and Dominik tags in and hits a springboard cross body for a near fall. Dominik with a neck breaker and he hits a triple jump moonsault for a near fall. Jey tags in and Dominik drop kicks Jey off the apron and then he sends Jimmy to the apron. Jimmy is kicked off the apron and Dominik goes up top and hits a cross body onto the Usos but they catch Dominik and they swing Dominik into the ringside barrier.
Jey with a running hip into the corner and he punches Dominik in the corner. Jey with a slam and Jimmy tags in. They make a wish with Dominik. Jimmy with a reverse chin lock. Jimmy with a forearm and he sends Dominik into the turnbuckles. Dominik is put on the turnbuckles and Jimmy gets Dominik on his shoulders for a super Samoan drop but Dominik gets to the mat and he sends Jimmy to the floor. Dominik drop kicks Jey off the apron. Jimmy grabs Dominik’s ankle but Dominik kicks Jimmy away. Rey and Jey tag in and Rey sends Jey into the corner. Rey with a forearm and he hits a seated splash for a near fall.
Rey with a waist lock and Jey with a standing switch. Rey with an elbow and Rey gets caught by Jey and Jimmy tags in. Rey with a rana but Jimmy with a super kick. Jimmy with a pop up Samoan drop for a near fall. Jey tags in and they set for a double super kick but Dominik trips JImmy and Dominik is sent into the post. Rey with a rollup on Jey for a near fall. Rey sends Jey into the ropes and Jimmy takes the impact for the 619. Rey with a springboard move and Jey with a super kick. Jey with a frog splash for a near fall. Jimmy argues with the referee.
Jimmy goes up top and so does Jey. Dominik knocks Jey off the turnbuckles and Jimmy knocks Dominik off the apron. Jimmy with a rollup and Jey adds more pressure for the cover and they get the three count.
Winners and NEW Smackdown Tag Team Champions: The Usos
After the match, The Usos take the titles and head to the ramp as fans boo. We go to replays. Cole says The Usos have just stolen the titles. Jimmy and Jey celebrate on the stage.
— Kayla asks about the Smackdown tag title match. Booker says Rey is probably his favorite superstar but he is proud to see the Usos win the tag titles. You win by any means necessary.
— We take a look at the Universal Championship Match with a video package.
Kayla asks if it is Edge’s moment. John says this is on the level of Flair and Steamboat or Undertaker and Michaels. Booker says this match will be about the 25 to 30 minute mark. Will Edge’s body be able to push through. Peter says it is Edge’s time. Jerry mentions a tweet Roman sent to Edge today and he agrees with Roman. Kayla says Roman is incredible but he is not an eleven time champion and Hall of Famer like Edge.
WWE Money In The Bank Opener:
The 2021 WWE Money In the Bank pay-per-view opens up with a video package. We’re live from the Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas as WWE officially returns to the road for pay-per-view. The pyro goes off as Michael Cole welcomes us. He says the arena is sold out. Cole is joined at ringside by Pat McAfee. They hype tonight’s opening match.
Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match
Nikki A.S.H. vs. Alexa Bliss vs. Asuka vs. Naomi vs. Liv Morgan vs. Zelina Vega vs. Natalya vs. Tamina
We go right to the ring as Greg Hamilton does the introductions. Out first comes Alexa Bliss, who stops and points up at the briefcase hanging above the ring. We see ladders all around the ringside area. Bliss removes her dress for a pop. Cole shows us how Bliss won the briefcase in 2018, but cashed it in that night during Ronda Rousey vs. Nia Jax, to win the RAW Women’s Title from Jax. Bliss stands still on the second rope now, staring straight ahead. Out next comes Liv Morgan, who skips to the ring and points up at the briefcase. Nikki Cross or Nikki A.S.H. is out next. WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Natalya is out next, followed by her partner Tamina Snuka. They both carry their straps to the ring. Bliss is still standing on the second rope, near one of the corners, staring straight ahead. Zelina Vega is out next, followed by Naomi. Cole shows us how Naomi won the SmackDown Women’s Title from Bliss at Elimination Chamber 2017. Asuka is out last. We see how Asuka won the briefcase in 2020, on top of WWE HQ. Asuka has Kinesio tape on her shoulder.
Alexa remains on the turnbuckles while everyone enters the ring. Everyone but Alexa go for ladders. Tamina and Naomi bring in a ladder while Natalya sets one up outside the ring. Alexa finally gets off the ropes and skips around the ring. Alexa stands under the breifcase and Asuka stops Alexa’s powers and gives her a German suplex. Zelina with a kick to Asuka. Nikki with a tornado DDT to Natalya. Naomi with a Rear View and Tamina with a super kick. Alexa goes for a sleeper on Tamina but Tamina with a snap mare.
Tamina picks up a ladder and puts it on the bottom turnbuckle. Tamina catapults Alexa into the ladder. Tamina gets a ladder and Liv climbs it and then Zelina stops her while Tamina still holds on to the ladder. Tamina with a splash to Liv and Zelina in the corner. Tamina gets the ladder ready and Asuka stops Tamina and they push each other. Asuka avoids punches and Asuka with strikes and back fists. Tamina sends Asuka under the ladder and Asuka with a hip attack to knock Natalya off the apron. Asuka with a missile drop kick. Asuka drives the bottom rung of the ladder into Tamina’s throat. Asuka climbs the ladder but Tamina pushes the ladder but Liv jumps onto the ladder on top of Tamina. Liv with a facebuster and she climbs the ladder.
Natalya pushes the ladder over and Liv falls to the mat and Liv is limping. Natalya and Liv play tug of war with the ladder and then Nikki rolls under and gets hit with the ladder. Naomi puts Tamina’s head onto the ladder and she kicks Tamina. Tamina with a Samoan drop on Naomi. Tamina is pulled to the floor by Zelina and Asuka. Zelina with a head scissors and Asuka with a hip attack to Tamina. Natalya runs Liv into the corner and then Alexa takes care of Natalya. Alexa goes up the ladder to Liv but Natalya with a slingshot atomic drop. Alexa with a drop toe hold into the ladder. Alexa sends Liv to the mat and Alexa with a somersault senton.
Alexa sets up the ladder and Zelina climbs it and Alexa meets her on the top. Alexa has Zelina transfixed and now they are mirroring each other as they go down the ladder but Alexa climbs up as Zelina goes down. Natalya with a slingshot into the ladder followed by a power bomb. Zelina sends Natalya to the floor. Zelina with a double knee strike to Nikki. Zelina with a wheelbarrow into a bulldog on Asuka. Zelina gets on the ladder in the corner to try to superplex Liv but Liv drops Zelina on the ladder. Liv comes off the turnbuckles and Naomi catches Liv and power bombs her onto Zelina on the ladder. Natalya with forearms to Naomi and Tamina joins in to help her tag team partner but Naomi with a springboard round kick and a double sit out cutter. Nikki is caught by Naomi and slammed onto a ladder on the mat. Naomi with a split leg drop onto Nikki.
Naomi climbs the ladder and Natalya pulls Naomi off and sends her to the floor. Zelina grabs Natalya on the ladder and Zelina gets on Natalya’s back and she chokes Natalya but Natalya uses the power of the Hart family to climb the ladder. Natalya has the case in her hands but Zelina chokes Natalya out and Zelina has the case. Liv pulls Zelina off the ladder. Asuka, Liv, Zelina, and Natalya exchange punches. Tamina punches Asuka and then Liv. Everyone fights in the ring other than Nikki and Nikki gets on the top of the ladder on the floor and she hits a cross body onto everyone besides Alexa.
Nikki sets up the ladder and she climbs the ladder but Alexa pulls Nikki off the ladder. Nikki with a forearm and Alexa with a punch. Nikki pushes Alexa into the ropes and Alexa lands in the ropes and Alexa with Sister Abigail. Natalya pulls Alexa off the ladder and Tamina helps Natalya send Alexa to the floor. Natalya throws Alexa into the ringside barrier and use a ladder to send Alexa into the ringside barrier. Everyone puts ladders on top of Alexa. Liv gets into the ring and she climbs the ladder. Tamina pulls Liv off but Liv with a head scissors that sends Tamina into the turnbuckles. Two ladders are set up under the case and Natalya starts to climb and Liv stops her. Liv sends Natalya into the ladder and she goes down.
Zelina is sent into the turnbuckles while a third ladder is set up. Liv pulls Asuka off the ladder and Liv with a lungblower to Asuka. Liv and Naomi climb the ladder. Tamina and Natalya climb the ladder and so does Zelina. Asuka joins the party and the ladder swings around. Nikki gets back into the ring and she climbs as well. While they are paired off, Nikki just grabs the briefcase.
Winner: Nikki A.S.H.
After the match, Cross comes down with the briefcase and celebrates as the other Superstars still look shocked at the top of the three ladders in the ring. Bliss is still buried at ringside. Cross runs to the stage and climbs another ladder to sit there with the briefcase. We go to replays. The other 6 Superstars all look disappointed now. Bliss has not been seen since they buried her.

Backstage:
Jimmy and Jey Uso are celebrating with their belts and Roman is smiling. They give Roman the belts but Roman tells them to hold on to them for now. Roman says it has been a long journey. You took all the pressure and tough love. You were Main Event Jey. You were smart enough to learn from your brother. Let’s not get that confused. Winning the titles were the easy part. Who did the heavy lifting? You wouldn’t be here if I didn’t bring you back. But we are here now and we are covered in gold. It is all about the representation and the family is always watching. Since I gave you what you want, it is time to give me what I want. Jey says Roman is with him. Jimmy says he is with Roman and he acknowledges him. Roman says he is proud of them and he wants a family hug.
Raw Tag Team Championship Match
Omos and AJ Styles vs. The Viking Raiders
Erik and AJ start things off but AJ decides to tag in Omos. Erik thinks about it and tags in Ivar. Erik and Ivar attack Omos and Omos with a clothesline to Erik and a shoulder tackle to Ivar. AJ tags in and he snap mares Ivar and kicks him in the back. AJ with a knee drop for a near fall. Ivar runs AJ into the corner and connects with shoulders. Erik tags in and connects with knees. Erik sends AJ to the mat. Ivar tags back in and Ivar with a slam and Erik slams Ivar onto AJ. Ivar gets a near fall. Ivar sends AJ into the corner and Erik tags in. Ivar with a knee to AJ’s midsection and Erik with a knee to AJ’s head for a near fall. AJ with a double thrust to the throat and a drop kick to send Erik to the floor. AJ with a baseball slide to Ivar to knock him off the apron. Omos tags in and AJ is sent over the top rope by Omos and AJ with a head scissors take down on Erik.
AJ tags back in and he sends Erik back into the ring. AJ with a rear chin lock into a reverse chin lock. Erik with a knee to AJ and Ivar tags in and he hits a shoulder tackle and side slam. Ivar with a cross body. Ivar with a clothesline. AJ with a jaw breaker and Omos tags in. Ivar with a cartwheel and he connects with a clothesline but it has no effect. Ivar goes to the turnbuckles and Omos catches Ivar by the throat and slams Ivar. Omos with a nerve hold.
AJ wants to tag in and Omos lets AJ return to the match. AJ with forearms and Ivar with punches. Ivar with a kick and chop. AJ with punches and chops. Ivar flips over AJ and tags in Erik. Erik with knees and AJ fires back with strikes. Erik with forearms. AJ with an Irisih whip and Erik flaots over and he hits a flying knee strike. Erik with a fallaway slam and Ivar tags in. Erik runs Ivar into AJ in the corner and then Ivar knocks Omos off the turnbuckles. Erik tags in and tosses AJ to Erik who catches AJ and Ivar with a springboard clothesline and Erik with a German suplex for a near fall. AJ escaps from Erik and connects with a forearm and Pele kick to Ivar. AJ sends Erik to the floor. Omos tags in.
Omos grsbs Ivar and presses him over his head and slams him to the mat. Omos with a Jericho cover for a near fall. AJ tags in and Omos sends AJ into the corner but Ivar with a seated splash. Omos is sent into the corner and Erik tags in and he hits running forearms. Ivar comes in and helps Erik. Erik with a knee and Ivar clotheslines Omos over the top rope. Erik with a suicide dive to Omos. AJ with a rollup to Ivar for a near fall followed by a Pele Kick. AJ with a forearm and he sets for teh Phenomenal Foreamr but Erik pushes Ivar out of the way. Erik and Ivar with the Viking Experience but Omos pushes Erik onto Ivar to break up the cover.
Erik and Omos tag in and Erik iwth a forearm but AJ with a spinning heel kick. Ivar with a spinning heel kick to AJ. Omos kicks Ivar. Erik with a kick to Omos but Omos with a vertical choke slam for the three count.
Winners: AJ Styles and Omos
Backstage:
Kevin Patrick is in the back with Drew McIntyre. Drew asks if something seems different to Kevin. Drew asks to hear the crowd in Fort Worth. He says he is in a position where he doesn’t want to win the match, he has to win the match. The last time he was in Texas, he won the Royal Rumble. Then he beat Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania. If we don’t hear Thunderdome ever again, we will be happy. He wanted to step in front of the live fans as champion and tonight is his last opportunity. Drew says he has a story. Tonight, Drew rolls into Money in the Bank and he will be Mr. Money in the Bank.

WWE Title Match
Kofi Kingston vs. Bobby Lashley
We go back to the ring and out first comes Kofi Kingston as fans begin chanting his name. Kofi hits the ring as a “New Day rocks!” chant breaks out. Out next comes WWE Champion Bobby Lashley with MVP a few steps behind him. Lashley poses on the stage and heads to the ring, all business and ready to fight.
Lashley hits the ring and poses in the corner as the pyro goes off. We get formal ring introductions from Mike Rome before the bell. The bell rings and MVP is holding Kofi’s foot. Lashley charges but Kofi still leaps. Kofi avoids a pin and we get a double stomp but Lashley kicks out. Lashley overpowers Kofi and slams him off a counter. Lashley works Kofi over, blocks a kick and levels him with a big clothesline.
Lashley walks around to a mixed reaction. Lashley with big shoulder thrusts in the corner. Lashley charges with two running thrusts. Fans boo as MVP barks encouragement at the champ. Lashley charges but gets rocked. Kofi flies at him but Lashley catches him in mid-air and slams him hard with the chokeslam for boos. Lashley lifts Kofi and just tosses him over the top rope to the floor. Lashley tells the crowd to hush as they boo him. He goes to ringside, lifts Kofi and runs him into the ring post.
Lashley break the count and goes back outside to ram Kofi into the ring post once again. MVP barks as fans boo. Lashley taunts the crowd and the boos get louder. Lashley rolls Kofi back in and man-handles him into the corner. Fans chant Kofi’s name as they try to rally for him. Lashley with elbows in the corner. Lashley with a big running forearm into the corner to drop Kofi with ease.
Lashley powers Kofi up with ease once again, planting him face-first. Lashley applies the Hurt Lock in the middle of the ring now. Kofi almost breaks it but Lashley breaks it for him and launches him over his head across the ring. Fans chant for Kofi as Lashley continues to dominate him. Lashley drives Kofi down on his face once again. The announcers call on the referee to stop the match as Lashley mounts Kofi and pounds on him in the middle of the ring. MVP yells about Kofi disrespecting Lashley. Lashley scoops Kofi and drops him with the Dominator in the middle of the ring.
Lashley stands over Kofi and pounds on his chest as fans boo him. Lashley with another big Dominator in the middle of the ring. The referee appears to call for Lashley to cover. The ref checks on Kofi as Lashley taunts the crowd some more. Lashley delivers a third Dominator, then hushes the crowd once again as the boos get louder.
Lashley man-handles Kofi with the Hurt Lock once again and Kofi isn’t even standing. The referee calls the match after Kofi failed to get any offense in.
Winner: Bobby Lashley
Well, Lashley said he was going to dismantle Kofi and so he did it… After the match, the crowd is shocked as Lashley’s music hits and he stands tall over Kofi. MVP brings the WWE Title belt in the ring ans fastens it around Lashley’s waist. We go to replays. Lashley hits the corner to pose while Kofi is still laid out face-first on the mat with the referee checking on him. Lashley makes his exit as MVP follows.

Raw Women’s Championship
Charlotte Flair vs. Rhea Ripley
We go back to the ring and out first comes RAW Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley. We see how she won the title from Asuka at WrestleMania 37. Out next comes Charlotte Flair. She stops and poses on the ramp as the pyro goes off. We see stills from some of Flair’s big title win over the years. We get formal ring introductions from Rome.
The bell rings and they stare each other down. Ripley smirks at Flair. They lock up and go at it, then break. The crowd gives Flair some heat and she responds by giving them the middle finger, which WWE tries to black out. Ripley headbutts Flair after a lock up. Flair rocks her. Ripley slaps back. Ripley taunts Flair after rocking her. Ripley dropkicks Flair now.
Fans chant “we want Becky!” now. Flair and Ripley trade shots on the apron. Ripley gets the upperhand and runs the ropes to dropkick Flair from the apron to the floor. Ripley follows but Flair sends her landing hard on the ground. Flair dropkicks Ripley against the barrier while she’s down. Flair brings it back in for a quick 1 count. Flair with a t-bone suplex into the corner. Flair shows off a bit and then stomps away while Ripley is down in the corner. Flair covers for another 1 count.
Flair grounds Ripley with a headlock now. Flair with more offense and showing off. She taunts Ripley, telling her to get up. Ripley fights back from the mat. They slug each other as the crowd chants for Ripley, which distracts Flair a bit. Ripley tries to grab from behind but she gets sent to the corner. Fans do some dueling chants now. Ripley with a big back elbow. Ripley counters while backed against the ropes, and dumps Flair over the top rope to the floor.
Fans chant for Becky Lynch once again. Ripley takes Flair down at ringside and yells out. They bring it back in the ring and Ripley delivers two short-arm clotheslines. Flair fights back but Ripley headbutts her. Ripley gets a pop and delivers knee strikes. Flair blocks a knee but Ripely kicks her. Ripley with a Northern Lights suplex for 2. More back and forth in the middle of the ring now. Ripley with a big German suplex.
Ripley goes to the top for the missile dropkick but Flair side-steps. Flair with a Boston Crab now. Ripley powers out and holds it for a 2 count. Flair with a single-leg takedown. Ripley counters the Figure Four for a 2 count. Flair levels Ripley with a jumping big boot for a close 2 count. Flair has a few words with the referee. Flair ends up on Ripley’s shoulders from the corner. Flair slides down for a sunset flip but Ripley powers up and eventually turns that into a big vertical suplex. Flair kicks out at 2. They trade big strikes on their feet now. Flair tells Ripley to bring it and Ripley unloads with big stiff strikes. Flair comes back and sends Ripley to the floor.
Flair gets emotional now. She runs with a big boot to kick Ripley off the apron back to the floor. Flair is hyped up now. Flair goes to the top and delivers the moonsault from the top to the floor, taking Ripley back down as fans cheer her on with a big pop. Flair brings Ripley back in the ring but Ripley blocks Natural Selection. Ripley turns that into her Prism inverted Cloverleaf submission. Flair rolls through for a 2 count. Ripley goes for Riptide but Flair turns it into a big DDT for a close 2 count.
Flair can’t believe the kick out. Fans chant “this is awesome!” as Flair sits up and Ripley begins to recover. Flair talks some trash and pounds on Ripley. Ripley fights up from her knees as they trade big strikes in the middle of the ring. Flair with signature Flair chops. Ripley with an elbow to the face. Flair drops her with an elbow and puts her feet on the ropes for leverage but the referee catches her and stops the count. Flair gets in the face of the referee but backs off. Ripley kicks Flair from the mat, sending her stumbling into the corner.
Ripley with big shoulder thrusts in the corner now. Ripley takes Flair to the top and works her over. Flair fights back but Ripley keeps control and climbs up. Ripley goes for the superplex but Flair knocks her to the mat. Flair hits a super Natural Selection from the top but Ripley still kicks out. Flair can’t believe it. Fans in the crowd are also shocked.
Fans chant “this is awesome!” now as Flair sits there on the mat. Ripley begins to recover. Flair nods at the crowd and stalks Ripley now. Flair goes for the Figure Four but Ripley counters and launches her back into the turnbuckles. Flair is on the floor now, trying to recover. Ripley rallies and gets hyped up. Ripley grabs Flair from the mat but Flair slams her head into the ring post. Flair traps Ripley’s leg between the ring post and the steel steps, and kicks it several times.
Flair returns to the ring and applies the Figure Four in the middle of the ring. She bridges into the Figure Eight as Ripley screams out. The referee checks on her and Ripley finally taps out for the finish.
Winner and NEW Raw Women’s Champion: Charlotte Flair
After the match, Flair sits up and takes the title, raising it in the air as her music hits and fans pop. We see Ripley on the mat, frustrated with the knee. Ripley sits up in the corner as the referee checks on her. Flair poses in the corner as we go to replays.
Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match
Ricochet vs. John Morrison vs. Drew McIntyre vs. Riddle vs. Big E vs. Seth Rollins vs. Kevin Owens vs. Shinsuke Nakamura
Kevin Owens makes his way to the ring first for the Men’s Money In the Bank Ladder Match. Riddle is out next, followed by King Shinsuke Nakamura with Rick Boogs. John Morrison is out next and he’s accompanied by The Miz, who has the Drip Stick in his wheelchair. Miz apparently goes back to the back but it’s hard to tell what’s happening for sure due to Peacok buffering. Big E is out next, followed by Seth Rollins. Drew McIntyre is out last as the Money In the Bank briefcase hangs high above the ring and the heavy buffering continues.
The bell rings and they go at it but it’s almost impossible to make out what’s happening. Rollins and Morrison argue at ringside. Riddle with a big punt kick to Rollins from the apron. Ricochet runs and flies out, taking down Ricochet it seems. Riddle also flies out. The ring is emptied besides Big E and McIntyre now. Fans pop as they stare each other down. Riddle runs in but Big E launches him with a suplex. Big E and McIntyre stare each other down again. Ricochet flies in but Drew catches him and launches him into Owens at ringside. It looks like Rollins is also taken out but hard to tell.
Drew and Big E finally go at it. The feed goes out and comes back on to Big E and Drew down on their backs at ringside as a referee checks on them. Owens and Nakamura fight for a ladder in the ring now. Nakamura delivers an Exploder suplex onto a ladder. Nakamura stands a ladder up under the briefcase. Morrison runs in and stops him from climbing. Morrison climbs but Nakamura brings him down. Morrison and Nakamura are going at it now but it’s hard to see what they’re doing. Morrison apparently leaps over the ladder from the corner, taking Nakamura down. Fans chant “Johnny Drip Drip!” as he climbs for the briefcase.
Morrison is met at the top by Nakamura. WWE tweets to tell people to restart the Peacock app and now the stream is fine. We come back to Morrison launching Riddle onto a ladder, apparently assisted by Rollins. Ricochet fights Rollins and Morrison off but they back-drop him onto a leaning ladder against the ropes. They stop Big E from entering the ring. Owens grabs Rollins from the floor but Morrison makes the save. They double team Owens at ringside now. Rollins grabs the top of the announce table and slams it on Ricochet. Fans chant for tables as Morrison and Rollins bridge a ladder from the apron to the announce table.
Owens fights them off and returns to the ring, limping. Rollins runs in and takes Owens down. Morrison and Rollins attack Owens again. Owens stops them from attacking with a ladder, then springboards with one good leg to take them both down, with their ladder, using a moonsault. Fans pop for Owens. Owens is double teamed again, slammed down onto a ladder. They send Owens to the floor. They turn around to Drew standing there. Drew unloads on both heels. Drew unloads on Morrison in the corner and scoops him but Rollins makes the save. They place Drew flat on a ladder now. Morrison goes to the top for a corkscrew elbow to Drew on the ladder. Morrison barely connects and also hurts himself.
Rollins uses a ladder on Drew and ends up also knocking Morrison out of the ring with it, ending their alliance. Rollins climbs up but Big E and Ricochet stop him. Nakamura joins in. Riddle runs in with a big RKO outta nowhere on Rollins for a pop. Nakamura, Big e, Riddle and Ricochet tangle now. Riddle and Nakamura unload on each other in the middle of the ring. Drew drops them both with a double Claymore for a big pop. Big E comes over but Drew drops him with a Futureshock DDT. Ricochet flies but Drew catches him for the big Alabama Slam into a ladder leaning in the corner.
Drew runs the ropes and flies out, taking down 6 other Superstars. Rollins flies in as Drew returns to the ring but Drew drops him with a Glasgow Kiss headbutt. Drew with a Claymore to Rollins. Drew climbs the ladder but Veer and Shanky hit the ring to pull him off. They tumble to the floor and Jinder Mahal appears with a steel chair. Jinder unloads on Drew with chair shots on the ramp. Jinder, Veer and Shanky dominate Drew on the ramp and stand over him. Jinder orders Veer and Shanky to drag Drew to the backstage area.
Riddle is at the top of the ladder now. Ricochet leaps from the top rope to the top of the ladder with him. Riddle is knocked off. Riddle tips the ladder over but Riddle jumps to the top rope, flies out of the ring and takes down 5 other Superstars on the floor for a “holy s–t!” chant and a big pop. Riddle looks to capitalize. Ricochet meets him at the top of the ladder. They fight. Rollins stands another ladder up and climbs up for the case. Big E pulls him off and sends him to the floor.
Riddle with the RKO to Big E for a pop. Riddle with a big RKO to Riddle now. Rollins with a Stomp to Riddle. Nakamura with the GTS to Rollins. Nakamura climbs up but Morrison meets him and sprays the Drip Stick to send him off. Owens comes in and nails a Stunner to Morrison to stop his climb. Owens climbs up but Nakamura pulls him off. Owens with a Stunner to Nakamura. Owens with a Pop-Up Powerbomb to Ricochet as he tries to stop him. Owens climbs up for a pop now. He touches the case but Rollins attacks from behind, hitting the hurt knee. Rollins powerbombs Owens from the ring through a ladder that was bridged from the apron to the announce table. Fans chant “holy s–t!” now as a referee checks on Owens.
Rollins climbs again but Big E stops him. Big E hits a huge Big Ending from the top of the ladder for a big pop. Big E climbs up as fans cheer him on. He grabs the briefcase and unhooks it for the win as fans go wild.
Winner: Big E
After the match, Big E celebrates on top of the ladder as the music hits. Rollins sits up and watches, then makes his exit as Big E’s celebration continues up top. We go to replays. Big E continues his celebration and yells about this being his time. He exits the ring and poses with some fans at ringside to end the segment.
Backstage:
Seth Rollins is in the back and he is having trouble walking. Kevin Patrick stops him and asks him about his effort. Seth says it wasn’t good enough. It was his destiny to be the next champion. I should have been put in the Universal Championship match and Edge stole that from me. Seth says change. He needs a new plan. Seth says whoever wins the Universal Championship tonight, I am next in line.
Universal Championship Match
Roman Reigns vs. Edge
We go back to the ring for tonight’s main event as WWE Hall of Famer Edge makes his way out for a major pop. Edge waits as the crowd begins to boo and chant “Roman sucks!” The music finally hits and out comes WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns with Paul Heyman. They stop on the stage and Reigns raises the title in the air as the pyro goes off. Edge watches from a corner in the ring.
Roman has some words for Edge before they lock up. They lock up and Roman with a clean break. They lock up and Edge backs Roman into the corner and Edge with a pie face to Roman in the corner. They lock up and Edge with a waist lock and Edge takes Roman to the mat and he slaps Roman in the head before getting off Roman. They lock up and Edge with a waist lock into a side head lock. Roman with a shoulder tackle and Edge goes to the floor.
Edge breaks the count but then goes back to the floor. They lock up and Edge works on the arm. Edge drops down to hyper-extend the shoulder. Roman with a punch. Roman with a head butt in the corner and a double sledge to the back. Roman with short clotheslines in the corner. Edge blocks a clothesline and Edge wraps the arm in the ropes. Edge sends Roman shoulder first into the ring post. Edge sends Roman into the opposite ring post and then he takes Roman to the mat but Roman gets to the floor.
Roman punches Edge and Edge with a forearm. They exchange forearms. Edge kicks the injured arm and Edge with a knee to the back and Roman goes to the floor. Roman with a Samoan drop on the floor. Roman gets back into the ring and then Roman breaks the count and sends Edge into the ring post. Edge gets back into the ring before the ten count. Roman kicks Edge. Roman kicks Edge in the corner. The referee warns Roman before checking on Edge. Roman tosses Edge to the floor. Roman sends Edge into the ring steps. They return to the ring and Roman gets a near fall.
Roman with punches and he starts to talk to Edge. Roman sends Edge shoulder first into the ring post. Roman sends Edge into a different ring post shoulder first. Roman with a suplex and he gets a near fall. Roman with a cravate. Edge escapes the hold and Roman with a reverse chin lock. Roman has a conversation with the people in the front row. The match is VERY slow. Edge with elbows and Roman with an uppercut. Roman leaves the ring and he sets for a Drive By and hits it. Roman gets a near fall. Roman goes to the corner as he waits for Edge to get up. Roman sets up for the Superman punch.
Edge turns around and he catches Roman and gets a near fall with a back slide. Both men go down when they both go for kicks. Edge with a forearm and Roman fires back. Edge with a forearm and they go back and forth. Roman misses an uppercut and Edge with an Edge-O-Matic. Edge gets to his feet first and he clotheslines Roman. Roman with a boot to Edge and Edge with a flapjack and Impaler DDT for a near fall. Edge with punches to Roman. Edge puts Roman on the turnbuckles and Roman with a back elbow and Edge falls to the apron. Edge drops Roman on the ring post and Roman is in the tree of woe. Edge kicks Roman in the turnbuckles. Edge with an STF. Roman tries to power out of the hold and Edge is able to reapply the hold.
Roman tries to get to the ropes and Edge turns it into a crossface. Roman gets to the rope to force a break of the hold. Edge backs into the corner. Edge with a spear attempt but Roman counters with a guillotine. Edge backs Roman into the corner but Roman reapplies the guillotine. Edge goes to the floor and forces Roman to release the hold. Roman rolls into the ring to break the count. Roman sets for a spear and he misses and goes through the ringside barrier. Edge gets back into the ring and he stops the referee’s count. Edge goes to the floor and spears Roman through another part of the ringside barrier.
