As you are well aware of, NXT Champion Karrion Kross dropped a loss in his RAW debut match against Jeff Hardy last week.
WWE had plans for Hardy and Kross to work a rematch against each other on Monday’s episode, however, the rematch was nixed due to Hardy testing positive for COVID-19. The news was revealed when Hardy had to pull out of an appearance in Kansas City. Hardy is in quarantine for at least two weeks.
Fightful Select reported today that before Hardy was pulled from the match, WWE was planning to have Kross lose to Hardy for the second straight week. It’s unclear what the creative direction would’ve been after this if the bout actually took place.
It was said that “several members of creative, and even more of the roster were baffled by the idea to beat Kross once, let alone a second straight week.”
WWE came up with Kross taking on Keith Lee on RAW and the top NXT star got a win.
