More on WWE Moving Naomi Back To Smackdown – We noted earlier this week how WWE decided to move Naomi back to SmackDown.
Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that “Naomi is moving from Raw to Smackdown because Smackdown was weak on the women’s side.”
This comes at a time where Bayley, a top women’s star on SmackDown, is on the shelf for the better part of a year due to a torn ACL.
It was also noted as most picked up on due to history, Naomi being on SmackDown means that she can travel with her husband, Jimmy Uso. In recent years, WWE has tried to keep couples together on the same brand so they can travel together.
This hadn’t been an issue when WWE was in its pandemic era as they didn’t have to travel all over the country, but that has changed. It’s unknown when Naomi will make her next appearance on television.
Naomi had been working on the Raw brand since last October. The former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion recently worked the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match alongside Asuka, Naomi, Alexa Bliss, Liv Morgan, Zelina Vega, Natalya, and Tamina that was won by Nikki A.S.H this past Sunday.
