More On NXT Stars Possibly Appearing On Smackdown, Plans For Tonight's Main Event

PWInsider is reporting that Aaliyah, Xia Li, Austin Theory and Odyssey Jones are backstage at WWE Friday Night SmackDown.

That does not necessarily mean that they will appear on the show and what is more likely is that they are there for a dark match before the show. WWE has been putting on dark matches with NXT talent in recent weeks so that Vince McMahon can evaluate them for a potential move to the main roster.

In other SmackDown news, WrestleVotes is reporting that the rundown sheet for tonight currently lists the Fatal 4-Way as the main event. That match will feature Seth Rollins vs. Kevin Owens vs. Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Big E. Of course, things can still change before showtime.

As noted earlier, expect at least one surprise on tonight’s show. Click here for spoiler news on someone expected to be on the show tonight.

WWE is advertising the following for tonight’s show:

– Edge, Rey and Dominik Mysterio vs. Roman Reigns and The Usos

– Bianca Belair will challenge Carmella for the SmackDown Women’s Championship

– Fatal 4-Way match featuring Big E, Shinsuke Nakamura, Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins

SmackDown will emanate from Houston’s Toyota Center. Stay tuned for our LIVE coverage.
