AJ thanks everyone for showing up for the State of the Tag Team Division Address.  AJ reminds everyone that WWE will be on the road again.  AJ says they will be obligated to defend their titles, live and in person, against the best.  The teams in the ring are who they want.  The 11 time champions, the New Day.  You are legendary, national treasures.  Think about what we can do together.  We can have the same match with did at Wrestlemania.  We won that match.  Mace and T-Bar.  AJ says they don’t know a lot about you guys but nobody does.  You are big, mean, and like to fight.  AJ says he has his own personal colossus who is bigger and meaner than you.  Lince is out there alone because Gran Metalik got hurt.  You are brave.  In that ring, you do things I have only seen in video games, but he has done his entire career.  AJ says that Lince was probably his favorite superstar.

Kofi calls them deplorable, destestible, and booty.  Kofi says they are not going to forget about this.  They want to see AJ and Omos’ papers.

AJ says they don’t need papers because they are the champions.  AJ says they want to be nice.

Randy tells AJ to shut his mouth.  Riddle tells AJ to zip his mouth and throw the key away.  Riddle mentions their new t-shirt.  He has two because Randy doesn’t wear shirts, or pants.  Riddle keeps talking and Randy stops Riddle.

AJ asks if they are done but Miz and John Morrison come out and Morrison pushes Miz in a wheelchair.

Miz apologizes for interrupting and Morrison says Miz has nothing to be sorry about.  Miz says he cannot deny that he was tragically injured at Backlash.  The tag team division has become dry.  Morrison says he brought out his Drip Stick to moisten things up.  Miz says that John Morrison has volunteered to compete on behalf of the greatest tag team of the 21st Century. We go to commercial.

Backstage:

We are back and Erik and Ivar hit each other over getting a tag title match.  Ivar says he is getting so hungry so let’s go feast.  Turkey legs, they are on me. AJ and Omos show up and Omos holds a turkey leg.  AJ says he doesn’t know much about Vikings.  He says they are wannabe Vikings.  Erik says the way he lives honors the Vikings that came before him.  If you have a problem, he has a problem.

— Alexa says once upon a time, a little girl was lost, but she was rescued by the darkness and it taught her everything.  On the way, she unlocked something truly evil.  We see Lilly.  Alexa says she is just getting started.

In the Arena:

Elias is in the ring. He says there will be no other introduction tonight.  You could have been walking out with the new tag team champions but it is Jaxson Ryker’s fault.  If he had done what he said, they would be champions.  Jaxson became completely unhinged.  For his career and sanity, he had to get away.

Elias says he had no choice.  The first time he met Jaxson, he didn’t see this unbridled potential.  He looked into Ryker’s cold eyes and he saw the ghosts of war.  He saw a man who would go into battle, but not someone who would go to battle for me.  I walked out on Ryker, but that does not mean there is a universal truth and that is WWE stands for Walk With Elias.

Jaxson Ryker (now sporting short hair and black beard) attacks Elias from behind with his new ‘is that Miro’ look.  Ryker throws the guitar up the ramp and then he continues the attack until referees can pull Ryker off.

— We take a look back at last week’s number one contender match between Kofi Kingston and Drew McIntyre.

In the Arena:

Drew McIntyre makes his way to the ring because it is time for the contract signing. But first… We go to commercial.

We are back and Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville are in the ring with Drew McIntyre, who is already seated at the Non Roman Reigns related Table.

Sonya introduces Bobby Lashley and he does not come out to the ring.

Drew says we are not going to wait for Lashley.  Drew says that Lashley will walk out with his external charisma, the suit, MVP, and the Lashley Train.

Then he will talk about how many opportunities he has had.  Drew says there was a Scottish King named Robert the Bruce.  Scotland was under control and he had some defeats in his first year.  He retreated into a cave and he saw a spider that tried to spin a web.  Finally, that web stuck and the spider made a home for himself.  Robert figured he would give it another chance.  He won Scotland it’s freedom.  He said If at first you don’t succeed… Beat Lashley for the title at Hell in a Cell.

Drew gets ready to sign the contract but MVP is on the TitanTron in the back with Bobby Lashley and Lashley’s ‘cousins’.  Porter says he was tied up with some business.

Lashley makes his way to the ring with his entourage.

Porter congratulates Drew on manipulating your way into facing Bobby Lashley once again. He asks Adam if he will be threatened with another suspension.  They did what they were asked to do last week.  How will you reward the champion for his compliance.

Porter asks Lashley what does he want.  Lashley says that when Drew loses, he will never get another title match against him again.  Porter says that Lashley expects to be champion for a long time.

Drew says he accepts  Drew says he will never fight Lashley again for the WWE Championship if he loses.  Drew says he wants a match with no outside interference to cause the finish.  He wants where no one else can lose on his behalf.  He wants this match inside Hell in a Cell.

Porter says that Lashley accepts your terms.

They sign the contract (that does not have the changes that were just agreed to).

Lashley says it is admirable that Drew has gone back to his Scottish Roots.  The saying ends If at first you don’t succeed, you lose again to Bobby Lashley and you tuck your tail under your kilt and you walk away.

Drew says he has some last words and advice for Lashley.  Drew says after Hell in a Cell you are never the same and that is the case.  I fell 15 feet off the cell through a table.  I still feel it today.  I wam willing to go through that again and inflict punishment on you like you have never felt before.  I will use the cell and whatever is beneath the ring.  You can pray and beg for mercy but it won’t help.  I will win back my championship. See you in hell.

Lashley says he will beat Drew there. As Lashley prepares to leave with his girl, Drew gets his sword and he splits the table in half.

Backstage:

Sarah Schreiber is in the back with Nikki Cross.  Sarah asks Nikki what has gotten into her after her last two victories (outlasting her opponent for 2 minutes).  Nikki says it has always been inside her.  It is her tenacity and spirit that makes her a winner.  The only thing she will regret is not taking chances.  Her only choice is to try. Sarah asks Nikki if she has chosen a partner. Nikki says it is someone she has admired.  It is someone who looks like a superhero.  Out comes Asuka with her “nobody is ready for Asuka!”.

We go to commercial.

Ricochet vs. Humberto Carrillo

Sheamus makes his way to the ring to watch a battle between two. Sheamus is wearing a mask to protect his broken nose.

Before the match starts, Sheamus gets on the mic and he wants to know about the injustice that these two will get a chance for a shot at his title after what they did to his nose.  If I wasn’t under strict doctor’s orders to avoid a shot to this face… Humberto Carrillo goes to the apron and freaks out Sheamus.  Ricochet leaps to the apron and does the same thing.

Ricochet knocks Carrillo off the apron adn then he hits a drop kick through the ropes.  Sheamus comes over and dares Ricochet to hit him as we go to commercial.

The match is joined in progress and Ricochet with punches.  Ricochet with an Irish whip and clothesline in the corner.  Ricochet with a slam.  Ricochet gets a near fall.  Humberto blocks a suplex and Ricochet with forearms and punches.  Ricochet with a waist lock and Humberto holds on to the ropes on an O’Connor Roll and Humberto with a slingshot cross body for a near fall.  Ricochet with an Irsih whip and Humberto floats over and Ricochet goes into the turnbuckles.  Humberto with a sit out power bomb for a near fall.

Draw (Double Count out)

Backstage:

The New Day are in the hallway and MVP wants to talk to Kofi Kingston for a moment.  Kofi asks Porter if Lashley let him off the leash.  Porter says he was impressed with Kofi’s performance the last two weeks, but he is not surprised he came up short.  Porter says he represents Bobby Lashley, but he was a Kofi fan.  He watched Kofi win the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania.  He had tears in his eyes because they go back to Deep South.  Seeing you with your sons in the ring triggered me to come back.  WWE had a champion that he could relate to and be proud of.

KofiMania was everything and it went away.  Do you know why that happened?  You are not like Bobby Lashley.  I thought I saw a glimpse of the Kofi Kingston who could be champion, then you lost to Drew and you shook his hands.  You were comfortable being a loser.  There are no friends.  This is show business.  He says Kofi wants to be in the back shucking and grinning, and Kofi yells at Porter.

Kofi says his family and friends give him the motivation.  He says he does this because there is someone at home who wants to be like Kofi.  What does Lashley do this for? Porter says Lashley does this for the title and everything that comes with it.

We go to commercial.

We are back with another “Eva-Lution” vignette. Eva says that the story you have heard is only the beginning.  it is not easy running to the peak of success.  I had to put in a lot of dedication to get where I am.  Now it is time to practice what I preach.  The ability to inspire others comes from showing up to be seen.  I will show the WWE Universe a side of me they have never seen.  Eva-Lution is coming to Raw… Next week!

Backstage:

Mansoor is in the back and Mustafa Ali mentions that he has a match against Drew Gulak but Ali asks if he is ready.  Mansoor says he is ready.  Ali says you are ready for a fair and square match against Drew, but will you be ready when he pokes your eyes and pulls your tights?  What will you do when you realize he will cut corners to win?  Not everyone will play by the rules like you.

Jeff Hardy vs. Cedric Alexander

Jeff Hardy says locker room veterans used to be shown respect but then there are people like Cedric Alexander who act like they are entitled to things.  He says respect will be earned.
