What To Expect For WWE Hell in a Cell

What To Expect For WWE Hell in a Cell

Even though the Covid-19 pandemic has altered the normal wrestling action, the WWE Hell in a Cell 2021 is finally coming to Florida on June 20. WrestleMania 37 is now gone, and WWE is yet to welcome fans back to the arena. However, there are possibilities that fans will be allowed during the SummerSlam.

WWE decided to hold Hell in a Cell in June instead of the October slot. June was the slot for Money in the Bank, but there are speculations that it will be moved to July.

We take a look at the Hell in a Cell matches, the current stats of the wrestlers, and what to expect on the action that will take place at Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida.

Drew McIntyre vs. Bobby Lashley

The Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre WWE Championship match will be interesting to watch as the two superstars square it out in Hell in a Cell. According to the contract they signed, if McIntyre loses in this match, he will not be allowed to mount another WWE Title challenge as long as Lashley is the champion. However, Drew is ready for the challenge as he believes being inside a cell means that no one will interfere with him towards winning the match.

McIntyre earned the entry to compete in the WWE Title challenge after defeating Kofi Kingston. The duo had a shot to fight a week earlier, but Lashley interrupted their bout and was thus rebooked to seven days later.

It will be the 4th time that the duo will be meeting this year inside a ring. WrestleMania 37 has so far been the most exciting match as Drew was forced to pass out by Bobby in Hurt Lock. Bobby Lashley also retained the WWE Championship at WrestleMania Backlash after defeating both Drew and Braun Strowman in a Triple Threat match.

Rhea Ripley vs. Charlotte Flair

The two wrestlers will be fighting for the Raw Women’s Championship Match in WWE Hell in a Cell 2021. It will be their first singles clash since the last encounter when Ripley was defeated by Flair in the NXT Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 36.

However, Flair has the chance to win gold in a Triple Threat that included Asuka in the WrestleMania Backlash but was unlucky. It is not the first time that the Queen will be inside the cage as she faced Sasha Banks in the Raw championship in 2016 and emerged the winner. The 12-time world champion Flair was left off WrestleMania 37 and has thus been up building for this match.

The 24-year-old Ripley wrestled twice in the WarGames during the NXT run and could be somehow familiar with the physicality needed.

Bianca Belair vs. Bayley

In May 2019, Barley first won the SmackDown women’s belt. Then, 140 days later, she dropped the title to Charlotte Flair but got it back 5 days and held it for another 380 days. Banks finally met Bayley in Hell in a Cell in October 2020, and the former captured the title.

Bayley has been laughing at Belair since the moment she defeated Sasha Banks in SmackDown Women’s Championship to capture the title. It is not the first time the two will be meeting this year, as Belair won against Bayley in WrestleMania Backlash to retain the title. However, Bayley still believes that Belair used her hair as a weapon.

The EST of WWE emerged on SmackDown and challenged Bayley to face her in Hell in a Cell and end the disrespect. She promised that Bayley will not be laughing, and the latter accepted the challenge through satellite. In addition, Bayley made it clear that she won’t be the only one laughing if she beats Bianca at the Hell in a Cell.

WWE Hell in a Cell will offer some of the best sports betting odds, and we can only wait and see what the wrestlers will pull out this year. Both men’s and women’s matches at the WWE Thunderdome predicted to start 7 pm ET/4 pm PT in the US will be streamed worldwide. There have been 45 Cell matches since the idea was introduced in 1997.
