Update On WWE New Directive About Talent Tryouts

WWE held talent tryouts last month and this is where it was revealed that Vince McMahon that WWE had a new directive regarding tryouts as the company wants “younger and bigger guys again.”

WWE will hold talent tryouts in Las Vegas as part of SummerSlam Week. Both male and female talent will be there in hopes of getting signed.

Dave Meltzer provided some additional details about this edict in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. It was noted the feeling now is they want talent in their early 20s with 27 being the age they are calling the oldest they want. They also want the men to be 6-foot and at least 220 pounds.

There is also a heavy emphasis on wanting more young African-Americans and Hispanics from the United States as they want greater ethnic diversity.

Meltzer pointed out how there will always be exceptions to this if a certain wrestler stands out.
