It appears that the Sami Zayn – Kevin Owens feud is going to end tonight, when they face off, once again, at WWE Hell in a Cell pay-per-view.
KO and Zayn have teamed with each other or they’ve been on opposite sides for years and they wrestled at WrestleMania with Logan Paul getting involved to take a bump for KO.
WWE’s Adam Pearce was on Talking Smack to talk about the pay-per-view and he indicated that tonight would be the last chapter for their storied rivalry.
Pearce said, “I look at this from a longer perspective. I’ve known both Kevin and Sami for upwards of 15 years. You might say they’ve been obsessed with each other for that duration. I think the WWE Universe wants to see a resolution, and I think they’re going to get one on Sunday.”
WWE has a history of pushing “last ever” matches but oftentimes they have gone back on that so it’s anyone’s guess as to whether or not tonight is indeed the final chapter of their feud.
Tonight’s WWE Championship match between Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley is being pushed as the final time that McIntyre can challenge Lashley for the title but the stipulation hasn’t been taken seriously by many fans because of Vince McMahon’s propensity to change his mind. For that reason is why many fans believe we’ll see KO vs. Zayn again in some form on WWE TV in the future.
