Apparently, WWE is not done making cuts to trim down their costs.
In addition to the NXT cuts, the cuts on the main roster and the over 60 cuts made at their headquarters, it is expected that more people will be let go in the coming weeks.
Andrew Zarian noted on the Mat Men Pro Wrestling podcast that more cost cutting is expected soon. He said, “I would say some more cuts to be announced in the coming weeks…Expect some more cuts.”
There’s no word on where these cuts will be made but it’s worth noting that there have been rumors for over a week about cuts coming to NXT UK. But, as seen yesterday with the release of names like Braun Strowman and Aleister Black, the cuts can come from anywhere and anyone who doesn’t have a “no cut” contract can be let go at anytime. WWE is looking to cut big expenses and the wrestlers on NXT UK have the lowest paying contracts.
