WWE Have Made It Much Easier for Fans to Follow Their Brand

The WWE has had one of the leading sports entertainment brands since its launch in the 1950s. Today, it continues to thrive and competes with some of the biggest sports brands in the world, including the NBA, NFL, and Premier League. But how have they managed to keep up? Well, the WWE has always been highly effective at adapting to what its fans want. One of the most important adaptions was making it easier to consume their product, and below we take a look at how they did it.

WWE Network APP

The biggest development WWE have made over the last two decades is the introduction of their own channel, WWE network. This can be found through the WWE app and it makes it possible for fans to watch current and past episodes of their shows and exclusive content from anywhere in the world. One of the best features is its library of pay-per-view events and flagship shows (Raw and Smackdown). These are fantastic for fans of the Attitude era as they are able to rewatch Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, and Vince McMahon in what was a golden period for the WWE.

The technology boom has been beneficial for many brands across the entertainment industry. Some of the WWE’s competitors such as the NBA and NFL also have their own network now where they offer lots of choices for their subscribers. However, they were late to follow this trend as one of the first to take full advantage of the technology available was online casino companies. For example, JackpotCity Online slots have over 400 games on their site and app, allowing customers more choice and ease of access. This makes the experience much more enjoyable for the consumer.

Other genres of entertainment followed this example. Just like with online casinos, fans of the WWE are able to watch all of the favorite shows on a smartphone which has also made it so much easier for the WWE Universe. They no longer need a cable subscription and they can catch up on shows at their leisure.

More Brands Around The World

Another sign of how much the WWE have grown is the number of brands they now have. WWE NXT UK is a great example of that. It helps the next generation of superstars progress with the organization.

Although they were set up to blood through future stars, NXT and NXT UK are both successful brands in their own right. This was evident when they clashed with Raw and Smackdown superstars at Survivor Series in 2019. They did not look out of place in the ring against more established names.

Expect to see the WWE expand across the globe, with Asia and Australasia likely to be the next regions they look to create brands in. WWE will not want to settle with the success they are having at the moment. They will already be monitoring the next trends and will be quick to react when the time is right, just like they always have.
