Should Khabib Join The WWE Now He Is Retired

It does not happen often in the fight game where a fighter retires from the sport when he is at the top of the game and in his prime. Khabib is not your average fighter, however, due to his unusual upbringing in the mountains of Dagestan. His father is the reason why he was able to be the most dominant fighter the UFC has ever seen. Now that he has passed away, The Eagle has decided to focus his efforts on following his father’s footsteps and becoming a world-class coach for the next generation of Russian MMA champions.

When Khabib first stated that he is now retired from the UFC, most did not believe him, including Dana White. You could even place a bet with bet365 on who his next fight would be with GSP the firm favorite but that looks like it will never happen now. It means he will stay unbeaten after 29 fights and will cement his status as the GOAT of the MMA.

If Khabib were to make the switch to WWE, he would make vast fortunes but he is a man that is not interested in becoming a billionaire like his arch-rival Conor Mcgregor. Due to the fact that he is probably the best wrestler on the planet apart from Jordan Burroughs. I would love to see those two get it on to answer the question but as they both specialize in different forms of wrestling, they would both likely come out on top in their own disciplines.

One way of tempting Khabib to join would be by trying to get GSP to also join. That way we could see the match-up that fans really want to see. In Fact, there are so many exciting matchups that would generate millions in PPV. Mcgregor has already taken part in the WWE so getting him to face Khabib would break all PPV records.

In a recent interview with TMZ, Khabib manager, Ali Abdelaziz stated that Khabib would smash all of the WWE stars including John Cena. Abdelaziz went on to bash the WWE stars by calling them soft steroid freaks. It should be interesting what Cena has to say about getting called out by Khabib’s manager.

At the moment there has been no announcement that Khabib is to join the WWE but it would make sense for all parties. Khabib has a following of millions around the world and it would bring a new audience to the WWE. He would only have to attend the major events which happen a couple of times a year and in return, he would receive millions that could help fund his MMA academy dreams.

A perfect first match-up would be John Cena but he is now concentrating his efforts on being a movie star. To face Khabib in the WWE will be very tempting, however, due to the vast amounts of money, it would generate. As we know, money talks, so let’s hope that it can be arranged in the near future.
