“Takeover: Stand & Deliver” Night One Results – The NXT “Takeover: Stand & Deliver” Night One Kickoff pre-show opens live from the Capitol Wrestling Center at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.

Sam Roberts welcomes us. He’s joined by former MMA fighter and ESPN personality Jimmy Smith. They hype tonight’s matches. Wee see NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai and then footage of Raquel Gonzalez arriving earlier today with Dakota Kai. Sam sends us to a video package for tonight’s NXT UK Title match.

 Sam sends us to Samoa Joe’s sitdown interview with Ciampa from earlier today. Ciampa says he’s in the best shape physically and mentally he’s ever been. He knows the match with WALTER will be physical but he likes that. Ciampa goes on about how prestigious the NXT UK Title is and they wrap the interview.

We also get a Tale of the Tape for Ciampa vs. WALTER. We go to Joe’s sitdown interview with WALTER next. He says his reign looks nice on paper but he has to catch up on the 6 month hiatus from last year. WALTER isn’t sure what his next step will be if he loses the title tonight. We go back to Sam and Jimmy for more discussion.

Sports journalist Arash Markazi checks in via video and looks at WALTER’s title reign. Sam hypes Toni Storm vs. Zoey Stark as we take a break. We get a look at Triple H and Shawn Michaels talking Takeover on WWE’s The Bump earlier today. McKenzie Mitchell is backstage with LA Knight now. He’s confident about entering the Gauntlet Eliminator last, and then defeating Johnny Gargano for the NXT North American Title on Thursday night. Sam and Jimmy discuss the Gauntlet Eliminator now. They preview Kushida vs. Pete Dunne. Arash comes back in via video and talks about Kushida vs. Dunne, calling it the best technical match we’ll see tonight, and possibly all year.

Toni Storm vs. Zoey Stark

Back from a break and Vic Joseph welcomes us to ringside. He’s joined by Mickie James. Out first comes Toni Storm to boos from the crowd. Zoey Stark is out next as Alicia Taylor does introductions for our Kickoff match of the night.

They size each other up as fans do dueling chants to start. They lock up and tangle into the ropes, going around the ring. They break and lock up again with Stark grounding Storm with a headlock. They break and go back & forth now, trading holds. Stark counters and holds Storm to the mat as the referee checks on them. The dueling chants start back up.

Storm runs over Stark and looks to mount some offense but Stark grabs her. Storm with back elbows but Stark comes back with a big right hand to the jaw, then a running uppercut in the corner. Stark get sent to the apron but fights back in, springboarding at Storm with a missile dropkick for a pop. Storm drops Stark out of the corner and drops her, unloading on the mat with strikes for a 1 count. Storm keeps Stark grounded now. Stark kicks out of another pin attempt. She tries to fight up to her feet but Storm takes her back down for a 2 count.

Storm stomps away while Stark is down in the corner now. Storm with a suplex for another 2 count. Storm with a single-leg Crab in the middle of the ring now. Stark kicks her away but Storm comes right back with a boot to the face. Stark rams Storm back into the corner. They trade strikes from the corner and Storm slaps Stark down. Storm unloads with more strikes in the corner now, having words with the referee. Storm with uppercuts. Stark fights back with chops. Stark kicks away in the corner now. Storm takes Stark down and mounts her with right hands as the referee warns her.

Storm slams Stark. Storm goes to the top but Stark cuts her off. Stark climbs up for a superplex and she hits it for a big pop as fans chant “NXT!” now. The referee counts while they’re both down. Storm gets up first and they trade big right hands in the middle of the ring. Stark with several strikes in a row. Stark kicks Storm down and levels her in the jaw with a boot. Stark keeps control but misses a high knee. Storm has a German suplex blocked. Stark keeps fighting and hits a German of her own, then kips up. Stark with the sliding knee to the jaw for a close 2 count, and another pin attempt.

Stark shows some frustration now. Stark scoops Storm to her shoulders but she slides off. Storm gets Stark up high on her shoulders, then plants her face-first into the mat from up high. Stark still kicks out at 2 and Storm can’t believe it. Storm goes for Storm Zero but it’s blocked. Stark with a big superkick for another close pin attempt. Stark unloads with forearms and knees.

Storm nails a German suplex out of nowhere, and then another. Storm follows up with Storm Zero but Stark counters mid-move and rolls Storm out of nowhere for the pin to win.

Winner: Zoey Stark

– After the match, Stark stands tall and raises her arms on the ramp as the music hits. Storm is down in the middle of the ring.

– McKenzie Mitchell is backstage with MSK now. They’re ready to capture the vacant NXT Tag Team Titles. Wes Lee says he’s cleared and healthy, and Nash Carter goes on about how bright their star will shine tonight. We go back to Sam and Jimmy for a discussion on tonight’s Triple Threat for the vacant titles. Sam guarantees it will be a classic.

— We go to Samoa Joe with Raquel Gonzalez.  Joe says that it is hard to find anyone with a better year than Raquel.  She says 2020 was crazy with everything happening in the world, but she has been able to progress and show the world who she is.  Joe asks about facing Io Shirai and how she is a threat for the title. She says it is an honor that Io chose her to be her opponent.  If that isn’t validation for becoming who she thought she would be in the ring, what else could.  She is going to prove that she is more than a sidekick.

Joe asks about being singled out and if it worries her.  Raquel says that Io is known for not leaving anything behind, it could be a problem but Raquel says she is confident in her abilities.  Joe asks her about being in the main event and what it means to her.  Raquel says it means so much to her after her journey to get here.  She mentions facing Rhea at New Year’s Evil and now she is in the main event of one of the most unique Takeovers.  Io is known as one of the best in the world.  This is a mountain that no one has been able to climb and when she beats Io, she will smileand be full pride for everything that has led to this moment.

— Sam asks Mickie James about Io challenging Raquel.  Mickie says that Io has taken on all comers, but no one the size of Raquel

— We go to Samoa Joe with Io Shirai. Joe asks Io about being the champion.  She says that she was the best in Japan and now she wants to be the best in the world.  She says she is planning on reaching the top.  Joe asks about Raquel Gonzalez and the year she had.  Joe asks why did she challenge Raquel.  Io says she has beaten the best on all brands and she feels that Raquel is an up and coming wrestler.   She mentions that she would see Rey beat the bigger wrestlers and that is why she challenged Raquel.  Joe asks her about being in the main event.  She says it is an honor but there is a lot of pressure.  She is representing the women’s division and the NXT Women’s Title.  The division has come a long way and she says she is not only responsible for that.

— Sam asks Mickie for her pick.  Mickie says that Io feels like the underdog and she feels that Raquel wants it more.  Jimmy says he is picking Io since this is a big night. We see Dunne and Kushida arriving backstage as Sam wraps the Night One Kickoff.

Pete Dunne vs. KUSHIDA

We go right to the ring for tonight’s opener as Pete Dunne makes his way out to boos. KUSHIDA is out next as Alicia Taylor does the introductions.

Dunne goes for a triangle but KUSHIDA escapes and goes for a cross arm breaker but Dunne escapes.  KUSHIDA goes for the legs but Dunne avoids KUSHIDA.  Dunne with a kick to the arm and he goes for a drop toe hold and KUSHIDA stays on his feet.  Dunne with a knee bar but KUSHIDA escapes and counters into a figure four and a surfboard.  KUSHIDA with a wrist lock.  Dunne with a wrist lock and he turns it into a hammer lock.  KUSHIDA with a reversal and Dunne with a reversal of his own.  Dunne trips KUSHIDA on a handspring move off the ropes and he pulls KUSHIDA to the floor for an X Plex on the apron.  Dunne works on the arm and hyper-extends it against the ropes.  Dunne stands on the ankle.

Dunne with a bow and arrow set up into a boot to the back of the neck.  Dunne with a chop and boot to the head.  KUSHIDA with a chop and they go back and forth.  KUSHIDA with a kick to the arm but KUSHIDA runs into a boot.  KUSHIDA with a hip toss followed by a cartwheel and drop kick.  KUSHIDA goes up top when Dunne goes to the ramp.  Dunne with a kick.  KUSHIDA with a springboard back elbow and a rolling kick to Dunne that sends both men back into the ring.  Dunne goes for a Kimura with a body scissors but KUSHIDA counters into a Hoverboard lock of his own.  Dunne escapes and chops KUSHIDA.  KUSHIDA with a Pele Kick.

Dunne catches KUSHIDA on a springboard move and Dunne works on the fingers.  Dunne goes for the Bitter End but KUSHIDA counters into a package brainbuster for a near fall.  KUSHIDA stomps on the back while stretching Dunne.  Dunne with a head butt and then he stomps on KUSHIDA’s head.  Dunne puts the hand on the mat and he stomps on the elbow and connects with a forearm for a near fall.  Dunne misses an enzuigiri and KUSHIDA with a kick to the arm followed by a Falcon Arrow into a cross arm breaker but Dunne rolls through and stomps on teh elbow.  Dunne with a Tiger Driver into a cross arm breaker.  KUSHIDA with a forearm and Dunne with a kick.

KUSHIDA with a forearm and both men are down.  KUSHIDA and Dunne go back and forth with head butts.  KUSHIDA with another kick to the arm and a drop kick to the arm.  Dunne goes up top and KUSHIDA with a kick in the corner to stop him.  KUSHIDA with the hoverboard lock on the turnbuckles and he takes Dunne to the mat and holds on to the Hoverboard Lock.  Dunne gets to the ropes and KUSHIDA twists the arm and then applies another submission but Dunne gets to the ropes.  KUSHIDA with a kick to the elbow and KUSHIDA with a Hoverboard Lock and body scissors but Dunne gets to the ropes.  Dunne with a rollup for a near fall.

Dunne blocks a punch and he pulls at the fingers and snaps them.  Dunne stomps on the hand and he misses a round kick.  KUSHIDA with a punch and he goes down from the pain done by Dunne.  Dunne stomps on the hands and then hits the Bitter End for the three count.

Winner:  Pete Dunne

After the match, Dunne stands tall as the music hits. We go to replays. The referee checks on Kushida’s hurt hands as Dunne stands alone in the middle of the ring.

– We see video of Io Shirai and Zoey Stark arriving earlier today. We also see video of Raquel Gonzalez and Dakota Kai arriving earlier today.

– Still to come, the Gauntlet Eliminator to determine the new #1 contender to NXT North American Champion Johnny Gargano. We see the rules on the screen, then go back to commercial.

We see Leon Ruff crawling on the ramp as Isaiah “Swerve” Scott follows and kicks Ruff in the back.  Ruff with forearms and Scott with punches.  Ruff with a boot to Scott and then Ruff throws Scott off the stage and Ruff misses a missile drop kick but he lands on the ringside barrier and hits a missile drop kick.  Ruff sends Scott into the ringside barrier.  Scott hot shots Ruff on the ringside barrier.  Scott with a chop on the floor.  Ruff runs Scott into the ringside barrier.  Ruff goes up top and hits a missile drop kick.  

The match officially starts and Scott is sent to the floor and Ruff stomps on the hands.  Scott catches Ruff on a suicide dive and Scott drops Ruff on the ringside barrier and hits a drop kick to the head.  Scott gets Ruff on his shoulders and Ruff sends Scott into the announce table.  Ruff with a cutter off the announce table.  Ruff gets a near fall.  Ruff with forearms to Scott and Scott catches Ruff on a rebound move and Scott sends Ruff throat first into the top rope.

Scott pulls Ruff to the turnbuckles and they exchange punches.  Scott goes for a super power bomb but Ruff counters with a Frankensteiner.  

The next entrant is Bronson Reed.

Ruff goes for a cross body off the turnbuckles and Reed catches Ruff and tries to toss him into Scott but Scott moves.  Reed with a back elbow to Scott.  Reed with a splash to Scott in the corner.  Reed gets Scott up for a delayed vertical suplex and Ruff comes off the turnbuckles and Ruff with a cross body while Reed hits the suplex.  Reed drops down onto Ruff’s back.  Reed with a seated splash to Ruff.  Reed goes for a belly-to-back suplex but Ruff lands on his feet and he tries for a German suplex.  Scott goes behind and they cannot get Reed up.  Reed with a standing switch and a German suplex to both men.  

Reed with a head butt to Scott.

Reed waits for Cameron Grimes to come out. Scott hits Reed from behind and Grimes with a moonsault to Reed.  Grimes has some money and he offers it to Scott.  Scott takes it and they are friends.  Grimes chokes Ruff with his vest.  Scott stands on Ruff in the corner.  Grimes with a forearm to the lower back.  Scott with a punch and Grimes with a European uppercut.  Scott runs into a boot and Grimes misses a splash into the corner.  Ruff avoids Grimes and then Scott is sent into the turnbuckles.  Reed with a forearm to Grimes and Scott has a kick blocked.  Grimes trips Reed and Scott with a kick on the apron.  Grimes with a forearm to the kidneys.  Ruff with a forearm to Grimes but Grimes with a clothesline. Scott with a clothesline to Ruff.

It is time for Dexter Lumis to join the match. 

Scott sends Grimes to the floor and Scott pins Ruff.

Leon Ruff Eliminated

Lumis with a DDT to Reed on the ramp.  Lumis with an uppercut to Scott and then Lumis crawls after Grimes and Grimes is done.  Lumis blocks a kick and Lumis with a slingshot belly-to-back suplex.  Grimes gets a slingshot belly-to-back suplex as well.  Lumis with punches and a clothesline to Scott followed by a bulldog.  Lumis with a clothesline to Scott.  Lumis and Reed square off in the ring.  Lumis and Reed exchange punches.  Lumis with an uppercut.  Reed gets Lumis up but Lumis lands on his feet.  Lumis gets Reed on his shoudlers but Reed escapes and Grimes drops down and Reed goes to the floor.  Lumis with a running clothesline that sends him and Grimes over the top rope to the floor.

LA Knight enters the match.  

LA Knight says his takeover is now official.  He kicks Reed and he says Cameron Grimes wants to take off TO THE MOON and he will help as he punts his ass into space.  Lumis should paint a picture of him getting dropped on his head by LA Knight.  Reed throws Knight into the ring.

Knight sends Reed throat first into the ropes and Knight follows with a boot to the ehad.  Knight goes for a slingshot move but Reed catches him and hits a Samoan drop.  Grimes comes off the turnbuckles and is met with a forearm.  Grimes is Irish whipped over the top rope onto the ramp.  Reed with a hard Irish whip to Scott.  Knight with a knee to Reed but Reed with a body block.  Reed with a punch to Knight.  Reed with a hard Irish whip to Knight followed by another Irish whip.  Knight avoids a splash and hits a neck breaker.  Knight with a power slam to Grimes while Scott goes up top and Knight leaps up and hits a superplex.

Knight faces off with Lumis and Lumis sends Knight into Grimes.  Lumis with a side slam and he applies Silence.  Knight with a jackknife cover on Lumis for the three count.

Dexter Lumis Eliminated

Scott with a knee and Grimes with a sit out side slam and Reed with a back senton for the three count.

LA Knight Eliminated

Lumis gives Knight Silence on the floor.

Reed with a forearm to Grimes and Scott chops Reed.  Grimes with a forearm to Reed and then to Scott.  Scott with forearms to Grimes.  They continue to exchange punches and forearms.  Scott and Grimes exchange chops.  Grimes with a forearm to Reed and Scott punches Grimes.  Grimes kicks Reed when Scott ducks.  Grimes sends Scott to Reed and Grimes with a super kick to Reed.  Scott with Paydirt and then Reed falls onto Grimes.

Scott and Grimes with knees to Reed.  Reed punches Scott and Grimes and then he chops them.  Grimes and Scott with a double super kick.  Reed clotheslines Scott and Grimes with Collision Course to Reed.   Scott rolls up Grimes and gets the three count.

Cameron Grimes Eliminated

We are down to the final two and Scott punches Reed and then Scott runs into a body block.  Reed goes up top but Scott with a running boot to the head.  Scott goes to the apron and he power slams Reed onto the apron.  Scott with a 450 splash for a near fall.  Scott with House Call to Reed and he hits a second one.  Scott sets for a third one but Reed grabs Scott by the throat.  Scott with a kick and a third House Call for a near fall.  Scott sets to hyper-extend the arm but Reed snap mares Scott.  Reed wtih a power bomb and a reverse tombstone followed by the Tsunami for the three count.

Winner:  Bronson Reed

After the match, Reed stands tall as his music hits. We go to replays. The NXT North American Champion appears on the stage now as Reed looks on. Gargano raises the title and taunts Reed as they have words.

Tommaso Ciampa vs. WALTER (c)

They lock up and WALTER backs Ciampa into the corner and WALTER misses a chop.  Ciampa with a wrist lock into a hammer lock and WALTER backs Ciampa into the corner.  Ciampa with a side head lock and WALTER with a shoulder tackle.  Ciampa with a jumping boot and WALTER backs Ciampa into the corner.  Ciampa with a chop and punches followed by kicks.  Ciampa slaps WALTER but WALTER with a chop to Ciampa and Ciampa is down.  

WALTER puts Ciampa on the turnbuckles and chops him.  WALTER sends Ciampa to the floor with a chop.  Ciampa with an elbow and forearm but WALTER with a European uppercut in front of the announce table.  WALTER misses a chop when Ciampa moves and WALTER injures the announce table.  Ciampa with chops.  

WALTER drops Ciampa on the apron.  Ciampa goes for Willow’s Bell but WALTER gets back into the ring and he backs Ciampa into the announce table.  WALTER with punches and he goes for a chop but Ciampa gets his arms up.  Ciampa with forearms and Ciampa gets WALTER on his shoulder for a moment but WALTER is able to get back to his feet.  Ciampa kicks the injured hand.  Ciampa with a waist lock and WALTER blocks a German suplex attempt.  WALTER with a boot to the head.  WALTER with a kick.  WALTER goes for a Boston Crab and he applies a single leg crab.  WALTER turns it into an STF.  WALTER with a boot to the head.

WALTER chokes Ciampa in the ropes and Ciampa falls to the floor. WALTER suplexes Ciampa back into the ring. Ciampa with a chop but WALTER with a knee lift. WALTER misses a chop and Ciampa with clotheslines but WALTER stays on his feet. Ciampa with another clothesline and WALTER stsays on his feet. Ciampa with a flying forearm and WALTER staggers into the ropes. Ciampa tries to clothesline WALTER to the floor but WALTER stays on his feet. After six clotheslines, WALTER stays on his feet. Ciampa with a forearm and another clothesline. Ciampa is still unable to send WALTER to the floor. After taking something like 20 more clotheslines (no joke), WALTER is done playing games and he chops Ciampa, but Ciampa pops up and clotheslines WALTER again as this time he falls to the mat.

Ciampa gets WALTER up for an Air Raid Crash for a near fall.  Ciampa sets for Fairy Tale Ending but WALTER blocks it.  WALTER with a back drop and he gets a near fall.  Ciampa with Fairy Tale Ending for a near fall.  Ciampa with a running knee to the head.  Ciampa runs into a sleeper from WALTER but Ciampa works on the injured hand.  Ciampa gets to the ropes but WALTER with a German suplex and clothesline for a near fall.  WALTER sets for a power bomb but Ciampa blocks it.  Ciampa bites the hand and WALTER with a kick to the back.  WALTER with a forearm.  Ciampa takes WALTER to the mat and applies a Fujiwara arm bar and he pulls at the fingers.

WALTER gets to the ropes and Ciampa takes his time releasing the hold.  Ciampa with punches to WALTER.  Ciampa sets for Willow’s Bell but WALTER drops Ciampa on the top rope.  WALTER with a forearms across the chest.Ciampa puts the hand on the turnbuckle and Ciampa with punches to the hand.  WALTER with a head butt.  WALTER goes to the turnbuckles and Ciampa chops WALTER.  Ciampa goes to the turnbuckles and WALTER goes for a super power bomb but Ciampa sets for a super Air Raid Crash and hits it for a near fall.  

Ciampa chops WALTER many times.  WALTER goes into the chop and then they start to exchange chops.  WALTER blocks a chop and he takes Ciampa to the mat and gets a near fall but Ciampa bridges.  WALTER with a boot to the chest and a kick to the head.  WALTER with a power bomb and he hits a second one for a near fall.  WALTER with a sleeper suplex and a clothesline for the three count.

Winner:  WALTER

After the match, WALTER is joined on the stage by the other three members of Imperium.

— Time to see Taya Valkyrie’s dog running inside the Capitol Wrestling Center. Franky Monet (Valkyrie’s new name in NXT) is coming next Tuesday.

— Bronson Reed is with McKenzie Mitchell and she asks him about earning at title match.  Bronson says it has been 14 years of hard work and he will beat Johnny tomorrow night. Johnny Gargano shows up and he tells Bronson that he had his Takeover moment but it ends tomorrow when he faces Mr. Takeover tomorrow night.  He tells Bronson to enjoy the night because tomorrow will be a different story.

MSK vs. The Grizzled Young Veterans vs. Legado del Fantasma

Gibson, Lee, and Wilde start things off and WIlde with a waist lock on Lee and Wilde sends Lee into Gibson.  Wilde with a kick to Lee and Mendoza tags in and he chops Lee.  Wilde and Lee with a double back elbow and they send Lee into the ropes.  Wilde and Mendoza with a double take down on Gibson and they make a wish.  Wilde and Mendoza with a double drop kick to Lee and Mendoza gets a near fall.  Gibson with a choke slam to Mendoza and he goes after Lee’s hand.  Lee kicks Gibson and Lee is sent to the apron but Carter tags in.

Lee with a sllingshot bronco buster and Carter with a bronco buster of his own.  Mendoza hits Carter from behind and Gibson with a forearm to Mendoza and Wilde.  Drake tags in and they hit a drop toe hold and Gibson with a drop kick to Mendoza while Drake hits a drop kick to knock Wilde off the apron.  Drake with a clothesline and take down for a near fall on Carter.  Drake punches Carter.  Carter with chops to Drake but Drake with an elbow and boot to the head.  Drake gets a near fall.  Drake with a reverse chin lock.  Drake with a forearm.  Drake kicks Mendoza off the apron.  Drake with a slam to Carter and he gets a near fall.

Drake with a forearm to Carter and he works on the face.  Drake goes for a suplex but Carter escapes and Lee tags in and they hit a series of kicks to Drake and Carter with a double stomp to the back.  Drake goes to the floor and Carter tags in and Carter with a leaping plancha off Lee onto Gibson and Drake.  Mendoza kicks Lee to the floor.  WIlde tags in and Wilde with a suicide dive while Mendoza hits a twisting springboard splash.  Carter is put in the tree of woe and Wilde and Mendoza go to the turnbuckles for a double coast to coast.

Gibson breaks up the cover by Mendoza.  Gibson begs for mercy from Wilde and Mendoza but Wilde and Mendoza double team Gibson and send him over the top rope to the floor and he lands next to Drake.  Mendoza with a suplex on Carter and he gets a near fall.  Mendoza with a drop kick to Carter and Wilde with an assisted slingshot splash for a near fall.  WIlde punches Carter and follows with a knee to the back and a cross body for a near fall.  Wilde sends Carter into the corner and Mendoza tags in and punches Carter.  Mendoza with an Irish whip and clothesline.  WIlde tags in and he htis a clothesline in the corner.  Mendoza and Wilde continue to tag in and hit clotheslines on Carter.  

After fifteen or twenty clotheslines into the corner they hit a double suplex followed by a quebrada from Mendoza for a near fall.  Drake with a rollup for a near fall on Mendoza.  Mendoza with a knee.  Lee tags in and he connects with kicks on Mendoza and Drake.  Lee with a drop kick to the back of Drake’s head.  Lee with a suicide dive onto Gibson and then a plancha onto Mendoza and Wilde.  Lee with a handspring into a pele kick and then Carter tags in and they hit Thing of Beauty for a near fall.  

Lee tags in and Gibson gets Lee on his shoulders and Drake goes for a suicide dive into the Doomsday Device but Carter with a knee.  Mendoza with a suplex to Carter and Lee with a double springboard moonsault into a reverse double DDT.  Lee with a suplex to Drake and Lee goes up top.  Gibson with a head butt to Lee and he puts the hand in the turnbuckle pad.  Drake with a running drop kick into the turnbuckle pad.  Gibson tags in and he hits a hammer lock DDT and then he applies Shankley Gates and Drake keeps Carter from breaking up the hold.  Carter grabs Lee’s hand.  Mendoza with a drop kick to Gibson and Wilde with a splash off Mendoza’s back onto Gibson while Mendoza hits a Death Valley Driver on Drake.

Mendoza gets a near fall on Carter.  Wilde sends Drake to the ramp while Mendoza works over Carter.  Drake with a Doomsday Device to Wilde on the floor.  Lee with a double stomp to Mendoza while Carter hits a Burning Hammer.  MSK and Grizzled Young Veterans enter the ring and they exchange punches.  Gibson sends lee over the top rope to the floor.  Gibson and Drake go for Ticket to Mayhem and Carter counters with a springboard double cutter.  Lee tags in and they hit the blockbuster Hart Attack for the three count.

Winners and NEW NXT Tag Team Champions:  MSK

After the match, William Regal congratulates the new champions and give them their title belts.

— After a video package highlighting tonight’s main event, the announcers run through the card for Night Two of NXT Takeover Stand & Deliver.

NXT Women’s Title Match
Raquel Gonzalez vs. Io Shirai (c)

We get a quick look backstage before Raquel Gonzalez makes her way to the ring for tonight’s main event, with Dakota Kai at her side. Gonzalez hits the ring and poses as fans boo her. Out next comes NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai to a big pop. They meet in the middle of the ring and we get formal introductions from Taylor.

The bell rings and Shirai immediately charges but Gonzalez catches her and rams her into the corner for shoulder thrusts. Gonzalez levels Shirai with a big boot. Gonzalez overpowers and unloads on Shirai in the corner now as Kai cheers her on and fans rally for Shirai. Shirai charges for a big hurricanrana but Gonzalez overpowers. Shirai kicks free. Shirai kicks from the apron after Gonzalez misses in the corner again. Shirai goes to the top and nails a big hurricanrana to send Gonzalez flying.

Shirai with more big offense in the corner now, beating Gonzalez down as the referee warns her. Gonzalez catches the double knees in the corner and powers up but Shirai slides down and shoves Gonzalez through the ropes to the floor. Shirai runs the ropes and nails a suicide dive, sending Gonzalez into the barrier. Kai grabs Shirai from the apron and gets a cheap shot in, stopping her from going to the top. Fans boo. The referee catches Kai and ejects her to the back.

Gonzalez tries to capitalize but Shirai kicks her from the apron. Shirai with a big springboard moonsault, sending them both into the barrier and they land hard. Shirai goes back to the apron but Gonzalez grabs her and lawn darts her into the ring post. Gonzalez brings it back in for a 2 count. Gonzalez with another close 2 count in the middle of the ring after an apparent botched move. Shirai drops Gonzalez into position for 619 but Gonzalez avoids it and decks her. Gonzalez catapults Shirai onto the top rope for a 2 count.

Gonzalez drops big elbows for another 2 count. More back and forth now. Shirai chops away but one is blocked and Gonzalez drops her with a shoulder. Gonzalez with a modified Torture Rack in the middle of the ring now. Shirai tries to get free and lands on her feet, ducking strikes. Shirai with a hurricanrana and a big double stomp. Shirai misses 619 but hits an arm drag. Shirai follows up and hits it this time. Shirai springboards in from the apron and hits the missile dropkick. Shirai goes on and hits a modified Destroyer for a close 2 count. Fans rally now as Shirai goes to the top. Gonzalez grabs her from behind for the single-arm powerbomb but Shirai slides out of it. Shirai applies the Crossface submission in the middle of the ring now.

Gonzalez goes for the ropes but Shirai pulls her back and tightens the hold. Gonzalez finally gets the bottom rope to break the hold. Shirai goes to the top while Gonzalez is on the stage. Shirai hits the big moonsault and they’re both hurting now. Shirai runs up the ramp and hits the double knees to the face, putting Gonzalez flat on her back.

The referee checks on Gonzalez but she gets back up. Shirai is on top of the huge skull on the stage now. She leaps from the top of the skull and takes Gonzalez down on the stage. Barrett says the skull is 20 foot high if not more. Fans pop and we get replays of the big splash from the skull. Shirai and Gonzalez are both down and the referee checks on them.

Shirai struggles to drag Gonzalez back to the ring now but she does. Shirai goes to the top and nails the moonsault. Gonzalez still kicks out just in time and Shirai can’t believe it. She’s shocked as fans chant “this is awesome!” now. Barrett says no one has kicked out of Shirai’s top rope moonsault. Shirai follows to the floor to capitalize but Gonzalez turns it around, hitting the big one-arm chokeslam on the floor. Gonzalez slowly recovers and rolls Shirai back in. She follows and crawls at Shirai, taunting her and talking trash. Gonzalez grabs Shirai’s neck and helps her up, talking trash. Shirai with a big uppercut. Gonzalez comes right back with a big lariat to turn Shirai inside out.

Gonzalez grabs Shirai and lifts her for the big one-arm powerbomb, nailing it in the middle of the ring. Gonzalez holds Shirai down and covers for the pin to win the title.

Winner and New NXT Women’s Champion: Raquel Gonzalez

After the match, Gonzalez stands tall with the title and starts celebrating as her music hits. Gonzalez raises the title and yells out as we go to replays. Gonzalez heads to the stage now with the title in the air as some fans boo her. She continues to yell out as some pyro and smoke goes off, filling the Capitol Wrestling Center. Shirai sits up in the ring now, looking on as Gonzalez celebrates. Fans chant “NXT!” as Vic plugs Night Two. “Takeover: Stand and Deliver” Night One goes off the air with Gonzalez celebrating with the NXT Women’s Title.
