WWE Smackdown Results - March 12, 2021

WWE Smackdown Results – March 12, 2021 – Tonight’s show begins with a look at last week’s main event between Daniel Bryan and Jey Uso as well as Roman Reigns’ low talking threat to Jey if Daniel wins.

We’re live from the ThunderDome at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida, as Edge makes his way to the ring!

Edge says we have a big contract signing and there are some things he needs to address.  There are a few people who have had his name falling out of their face.  Roman Reigns said that I shouldn’t face a man like him.  I find it amusing.  I picked up on something that seemed to fly over a lot of people’s heads because you and Paul are great spin doctors.  You want us to acknowledge him as the main event of Wrestlemania and I made my choice.  Then you felt what I bring to the table, a table I am the carpenter of.  Then you backtracked.  You took a U Turn down Daniel Bryan Boulevard.  Daniel went his own way and you got played.

Last week, Daniel Bryan said that he deserved to be in the main event of Wrestlemania instead of him.  You said that because you wrestled more matches than me in the last 3 months.  While you were wrestling once a week, I was wrestling six or seven times a week against The Undertaker, Eddie Guerrero, Batista, and Terry Funk.  I am back, not because I have to be, but because i love this.  Don’t say you belong there because you love this or because you wrestled more than me in the last three months.

I have to wait to see who wins at Fastlane to see who I wrestle at Wrestlemania… Daniel Bryan interrupts as he makes his way to the ring under fake “Yes Chants”.

Daniel says you talk about Roman Reigns being sucked in but you got sucked in and was offended by what I said.  That was not my intention.  I figured that you would have respected me going into business for myself for the first time since you are the Ultimate Opportunist.  Daniel says he has infinite levels of respect for what Edge has done and accomplished.  I saw how hard you worked and how much you love this.  I saw how hard you fought to get back because you love this.

When I wanted to challenge Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship, it was not about you.  I watched you point at the Wrestlemania sign at Elimination Chamber and I was demoralized.  It wasn’t because of how many matches you had this year.  It was because I was going into what might be my last Wrestlemania on the back burner.  If this is my last run, I am going to give it everything I’ve got to get into the main event of Wrestlemania.

You’ve got your spot in the main event of Wrestlemania.  This isn’t about you.  If I want to main event Wrestlemania, I have to go to Fastlane and face Roman Reigns and beat him.  That is why I went into business for myself.

Edge says if you use air quotes it cancels everything out.  Edge says that Roman has already beaten Daniel.  If we are talking about wins, I won the Royal Rumble.  I outlasted 29 others, including you to win the match.  I have mutual respect for you and I like you.  I don’t like how you did this.  You are better than this, but you aren’t better than me. Edge drops the mic and leaves…

Big E says that as he was laid up in a medical facility because of you Apollo and those steps, I had plenty of time to think.  I hope and I pray that you know what you did.  You crossed the Rubicon.  You opened Pandora’s Box.  There is no coming back from this.  There is no sorry to fix this.  You can’t put the genie back in the bottle because you made me go biblical. I have to go Old Testament on you.  It is an eye for an eye.  You take one of mine and I take two of yours.  You came to hurt me and I come to maim you.

Once you step on my lawn, I bulldoze your house.  Beating you is not enough.  I have to end you.  You want what I work for.  You want what is mine.  Now I am ready to give it to you and I am ready to give you exactly what you deserve.  We don’t have to wait.  We can do this tonight.  Bring your behind down here and get the opportunity you are waiting for.

Apollo does not come out.

Big E tells Apollo to come get this now because you have been begging for it.  I am not surprised at all.  I got all gussied up and dressed up to defend his Intercontinental Championship.  That is what he is going to do.  If you are not going to get your Apollo, I will extend an open challenge to whoever wants it.

King Corbin comes out and he tells Big E to calm down.  If you are going to open up a challenge, I am not dressed to fight but I will rip off this $10,000 suit. Sami Zayn comes out and accepts the challenge.
