WWE Fastlane Results - March 21, 2021

WWE Fastlane Results – The WWE Fastlane Kickoff pre-show opens up from the ThunderDome at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida as Kayla Braxton welcomes us. She’s joined by Peter Rosenberg and WWE Hall of Famers Booker T and Jerry Lawler.

They reveal that Mustafa Ali vs. WWE United States Champion Riddle will air on the Kickoff tonight. They run down the rest of the card and Shane McMahon vs. Braun Strowman is once again being advertised. We go to a promo video for Sheamus vs. Drew McIntyre in a No Holds Barred match.

Kayla talks about Sheamus being one of the first to congratulate him after winning the title last year.  Booker laughs and says it is about winning championships, not friendships.  It is who will run with the ball and score.  Peter says Sheamus is playing the role of spoiler.  Drew is thinking about Lashley at Wrestlemania, but that is three weeks away.  Jerry says friendships are thrown out the window.  You forget that he was your friend or Drew can be hurt for his match against Lashley.  Booker says a match with Sheamus is good prep for Drew to get ready for Lashley. Kayla asks for picks and Peter is picking Drew.  Jerry agrees begrudgingly with Peter and so does Booker.

— Kayla mentions the Women’s Tag Title match will start off the pay per view and we take a look at what happened on Smackdown this week. Booker says Sasha and Bianca are working together to get the big check tonight but it is them one on one at Wrestlemania.  Peter brings up whether there are problems with Nia and Shayna, but are there problems between Bianca and Sasha?  Jerry says everything is going right for Bianca and she is on the fastlane to success.  Peter and Booker talk about how Sasha is keeping Bianca close to keep an eye on her. Kayla brings up Sasha versus Bianca at Wrestlemania and Peter says that this is the match he is looking forward to seeing at Wrestlemania.  Kayla asks if Bianca is ready for Sasha.  Booker says everyone is giving Bianca props but when you get under the bright lights, this is the first time Bianca will be under those lights at Wrestlemania.  Booker says he was told to take it easy and take it all in.  Jerry says timing is important and this might be the time for Bianca.

— We take a look at the Randy Orton versus Alexa Bliss match with a video package.

Kayla asks if Alexa has gotten into Randy’s head.  Booker says he has never seen Randy like this.  We are seeing things we have never seen before.  It is totally out of his element of expertise to talk about.  Jerry says he learned about women the hard way, he married three of them.  It is hard to understand what is coming from Alexa.  Peter says he is looking forward to that match.

— We take a look at Big E versus Apollo Crews.

Sonya Deville joins the panel to discuss the Intercontinental Title match. Sonya says that Big E is a friend of hers and he is a tough competitor, but the new Apollo Crews is scary.  He is showing a different side of himself that we didn’t know about.  Kayla wonders what triggered Apollo to change his attitude.

Booker says this is the real Apollo.  To try to conform to what people want you to be.  He has his people to motivate him.  Booker says Apollo is going up the ladder and Big E is in the way.  Peter wants to talk about the new Big E.  Sonya says we knew that was inside of Big E and the desire to stand out on his own.  He has been in the New Day for so long and now he is doing things on his own.  Peter says Big E is not playing games now.  Crews has a nice story with his Nigerian heritage, but Big E is fighting for his livelihood.  Sonya says Big E is motivated.

Kayla wants picks.  Sonya goes with Big E.  Peter also picks Big E even though he thinks Apollo can be dangerous.  Jerry picks Apollo Crews.  Booker says Crews will win.

— Sonya stays on the panel to talk about Shane McMahon and Braun Strowman.

Booker says Shane was trying to motivate Braun Strowman.  You have to push big guy’s buttons to get the most out of them.  Braun took it the wrong way.  Peter says Shane is proof of being too successful for too long.  Peter wants to know what is Shane doing by going after Strowman.   Sonya says that Braun has the size and strength but Shane can stick and jab and move.

We see photos of Shane McMahon suffering a knee injury (details here).

We go to Sarah Schreiber and she says that Shane is being checked out by the medical staff and there is no decision on whether Shane is cleared to wrestle. Booker thinks it is a serious injury.  Jerry says the leg will be a target for Braun.  Peter says that he does not think Shane would win if he was at 1000%.

— We take a look at Seth Rollins attacking Cesaro and what happened last week on Smackdown between Seth and Shinsuke Nakamura.

— Seth Rollins is in the back and he is asked about Shinsuke Nakamrua confronting him. Seth asks the new guy for his name and Kevin tells Seth his name.  Seth says he wants to talk about the drip.  He says he is not surprised by anything around here.  He says he is disappointed in Shinsuke Nakamura.  Nakamura is better than this,at least he thought he was better.  if anyone would know about respect, it would be Nakamura.  Nakamura wants to stand up and be a tough guy and fight his fights for Cesaro.  Seth says he will teach Nakamura a lesson in respect.  He tells Cesaro to learn something when he watches this at home.
