NXT is Moving to Tuesday – It was previously reported that the USA Network will move WWE NXT from Wednesday to Tuesday starting next month.
There had been an internal calendar that noted WWE would air NXT on Tuesday, April 13th, which would be right after WrestleMania 37.
Pwinsider.com reported today that WWE’s production schedule for the month of April now lists WWE NXT for Tuesdays every week post Wrestlemania weekend. Thus, now it’s all but confirmed, which means WWE is expected to make an announcement at any moment.
As a result, the Wednesday Night Wars between NXT and AEW Dynamite will come to an end. Dynamite and NXT will go unopposed of each other starting in the middle of April.
Of course, NXT will still face competition from AEW Dark, which airs on YouTube, NWA Power on FITE, and Impact Wrestling on AXS TV. It’s possible just based on history that Impact moves to a different night, perhaps Thursdays, but that has yet to be confirmed.
It’s been well documented that the reason for the change is due to NBC Sports Network shutting down later this year and Wednesday NHL games moving to the USA Network.
