Should Conor McGregor Follow Ronda Rousey And Join WWE?

If you watched Conor Mcgregor in his last UFC fight against Dustin Poirer, you will have noticed that the Irish superstar is not the fighter he once was. He is planting his feet trying to land that big knockout blow instead of being a master of movement and distance control. Maybe he has been spending too much time focusing on boxing rather than MMA as he looked nothing like the double champ of old. Maybe now is the time to call it a day like the once former baddest women on the planet did and join the WWE.

There are many similarities between McGregor and Rousey’s careers. They both reached the top of MMA by devastatingly dominating opponents. Rhonda was known for her armbars and McGregor for the KO power in his left arm. After Rhonda lost her first fight against Holm she was never the same again. McGregor after his loss to Khabib does not look like the same fighter and even though he got an impressive win over his best Cowboy Cerrone after that loss, in the Poirer fight we saw a big decline.

McGregor has a massive fan base in the US including loads of American Irish living in places such as New Jersey and New York. Since New Jersey sports betting became legal in 2018, it has been in high demand ever since. There are also a variety of bonus codes available for new users, like the great welcome bonuses. McGregor would also bring eyes onto the WWE from all corners of the world which would be great for the organization. There would be many great storylines that the WWE could come up with for McGregor and due to his notoriety, he is a perfect fit for the WWE.

Rhonda knew it was time to move on as she could no longer beat the new female MMA fighters coming through. McGregor has a bigger ego than Rousey so it may take him to realize that he is no longer the unbeatable beast he once was. It is rumored that his next fight will be in boxing against Manny Pacquiao but after a KO loss in his last UFC outing, it has damaged the interest in that possible matchup.

A better move for McGregor than facing Pacquiao in a boxing match, which he would lose as he is not a professional boxer, even though he would like to think so. He may be able to generate millions in PPV but if he gets KOd, his brand will be greatly damaged. He has recently been bought out of his Irish whiskey Company Proper Number 12 which has generated him millions. He no longer needs to risk brain damage by getting repeatedly hit in the head by one of the best boxers.

It is likely that at some point we will see McGregor sign for the WWE as it is such a perfect match. The way that the Irish Superstar likes to spend money, even though he is crazy rich now, it will not take him long to start to need to earn big money again. The best way to do this is to become the next superstar at the WWE so hopefully, it will come true in the not-so-distant future.
