Daniel Bryan Added to WrestleMania Match, More Matches Confirmed

As expected, Daniel Bryan has been addedo to the main event for WWE WrestleMania 37 Night 2, which is now a Triple Threat match for the Universal Championship between Roman Reigns, Edge and Bryan.

Daniel Bryan kicked off this week’s SmackDown with an in-ring promo segment and he refused to leave the ring until he got another shot at the Universal Championship. Bryan’s argument was that he made Reigns tap out at Fastlane. Edge, who has clearly been positioned as a heel or a tweener, attacked Bryan and later in the show told Roman Reigns to use his stroke to keep Bryan away from them at Mania.

Adam Pearce agreed that it doesn’t make sense to have someone compete twice in one night or on consecutive nights but he also agreed with Daniel Bryan that he deserves a Universal Title rematch. Pearce then announced that it will be Reigns vs. Bryan vs. Edge in a Triple Threat Match.

A brawl broke out and Edge left Bryan and Reigns laying with chair shots. The show ended with Edge sitting in a chair in the middle of the ring after taking out several officials.

WWE has also announced Cesaro vs. Seth Rollins is now on for Night 1.

The two have been feuding for several weeks now. Tonight’s SmackDown saw Rollins defeat Shinsuke Nakamura again, in a rematch from Sunday’s WWE Fastlane. After the match, Rollins attacked Nakamura until Cesaro made the save. Rollins later ranted in a backstage segment, challenging Rollins to a WrestleMania 37 match. Rollins continued to vent until Cesaro attacked again, delivered a Cesaro Swing, and accepted the challenge.

WWE has also announced Apollo Crews vs. WWE Intercontinental Champion Big E for WrestleMania 37. This is a rematch from WWE Fastlane this past Sunday, which saw Big E retain the title. This match will take place during Night 2.

Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn has been also added to the card (details here).
