Seth Rollins made his official return to WWE SmackDown tonight, a week after his surprise return during the Royal Rumble. In a message to the WWE Universe, Rollins spoke about how superstars should embrace the vision he has for things.
Surrounded by a variety of superstars, Rollins started off his talk by celebrating the fact that he was now a father, before saying that his daughter has given her a new vision and perception on things. “Now as most of you know, I have recently become a parent for the very first time,” he started off in his address. “I am the proud father of a beautiful, perfect baby girl. She has changed my life in ways I could’ve never dreamed of and that change has given me a new perception. That perception has given me a new vision.
“When I look around this ring, I see some of the most talented performers in the history of this industry. I look at SmackDown and how amazing it is, and I wonder, ‘Where do I fit in?’ After a lot of self reflection the answer became very clear to me: I am the great leader that SmackDown needs to push it into the future and make it greater than it already is. Because success and leadership, it’s not about what you can do for me, it’s about what I can do for you. Because I can be your leader, I can be your teacher. I can be your father, your mentor. It’s easy. All you have to do for a better tomorrow, a better SmackDown, is embrace the vision.”
During the talk, however, most of the superstars surrounding the ring left, with just Cesaro remaining by the time Rollins was done speaking. After praising Cesaro for staying there, Rollins quickly grew angry as Cesaro shook his head and began walking away. Rollins quickly got out of the ring and chop blocked Cesaro, before assaulting him and being chased away by Daniel Bryan as the segment ended.
